PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY – This Week with Huzoor – 7th June 2024
Huzoor(aba) presides over a virtual mulaqat with Lajna and Nasirat from Germany.
On Sunday, 2 June 2024, a group of Lajna members and Nasirat from Cologne and Bremen, Germany, had the honour of meeting with Huzoor-e-Aqdas (aba) at Islamabad.
We produce below a summary of some the questions and answers of the session. One is encouraged to watch the Youtube video for a more comprehensive account.
The first question presented to Huzoor(aba) was why there are different religions in the world instead of just one.
Huzoor(aba) began his response by inquiring about the girl’s education level to ensure she could comprehend his explanation. He then briefly explained the concept of religious evolution, drawing a parallel with human societal development and highlighted how human societies progressed from primitive living to complex civilisations and mentioning that religion also underwent a similar evolution.
Huzoor(aba) explained that in the early stages of human intellectual development, Allah provided basic guidance through various Prophets across different regions. These Prophets conveyed fundamental principles of monotheism and morality. Due to limited communication methods of the time, guidance was tailored to each community’s specific circumstances and capacities.
Huzoor(aba) said: “Allah the Almighty sent prophets to all regions, but the teaching was the same – and that was to worship Allah, to obey His commandments and act with the best morals when dealing with one another.” Communication to the masses was not like as it is today and for this reason said Huzoor(aba) prophets were sent to different areas.
As societies advanced and communication improved, a need arose for a universal prophet to deliver a unified message to humanity. Huzoor(aba) emphasised that while earlier Prophets, such as Moses(as) and Jesus(as), were sent to specific communities, their teachings prepared humanity for the comprehensive message of Islam delivered by the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa). Huzoor(aba) said that: “For this reason, no other scripture such as the Torah or the Bible etc., made the claim that their prophet was sent for the entire world. It is only written that they came for their respective nations. 'God Almighty sent down a final law and earlier prophets foretold about this final law. [...] when this prophet would appear, he [the Holy Prophet(sa)] should be accepted as he would be for the enitre world.”
Huzoor(aba) further explained that the Holy Prophet(sa) foretold the advent of the Promised Messiah(as) in the Latter Days, who would preach and propagate Islam’s teachings globally. The Messiah’s role was to revive true Islamic teachings and unite all Muslims and humanity under the banner of peace and brotherhood.
Huzoor(aba) concluded by stating the importance of considering each other’s sentiments and caring for one another, as this embodies the true teachings of Islam.
Saira Mubashir asked Huzoor(aba) how to explain the Waqf-e-Nau scheme to her friends.
Huzoor (aba) explained that the Waqf-e-Nau scheme in the Jama’at is similar to how Christian nuns dedicate their lives to religious service and drew a parallel to the mother of Mary dedicating her daughter to the church, illustrating that Ahmadi Muslim parents also dedicate their children to serve their Faith from a young age.
Huzoor (aba) advised Saira to explain to her Christian friends that, just like the mother of Mary, Ahmadi parents dedicate their children to serve their Faith, whether they are boys or girls. This dedication is a way for parents to present their children for a life of faith and service.
For those who are not religious, Huzoor (aba) suggested describing Waqf-e-Nau as a commitment to spreading peace and divine teachings around the world. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that although parents initiate this dedication, each child, upon reaching the age of fifteen, has the freedom to choose whether to continue on this path. There is no compulsion and the decision to renew this bond of dedication is entirely voluntary. Huzoor (aba) wanted Saira to make it clear to her friends that this dedication is a personal choice, not a forced obligation.
How can we explain the importance of Khilafat to our non-Ahmadi contacts?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of Khilafat when discussing with non-Ahmadi Muslims, highlighting the fulfilment of the Holy Prophet Muhammad's (sa) prophecy about its establishment. Huzoor (aba) explained that Khilafat-e-Rashidah upheld Islamic teachings despite facing challenges, supported by Allah’s promise of victory to believers.
Huzoor (aba) said that after the rightly-guided Khulafa, leaders who called themselves “Khulafa” kept Islam alive but did not fully embody the essence of the original Khilafat. Later, monarchies arose, initially successful with just rulers but declined when justice faltered, leading to a weakened and divided Muslim world. Today, the desire for unified leadership is evident across Islamic sects, but there is reluctance to accept a single leader, making unity challenging. Huzoor (aba) suggested that to resolve this, Muslims should follow what Allah and the Holy Prophet (sa) prophesied about the coming of the Promised Messiah who would unite all sects under one leadership. This unity under Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya would end internal differences and sectarianism, making Muslims a united force.
Huzoor(aba) commented that while Israel causes trouble globally, 54 Muslim countries, despite their wealth, are not listened to because they lack unity. If they were united under Khilafat, they would be a powerful force that no enemy would dare to challenge. Huzoor (aba) concluded that Khilafat brings unity, fulfilling the prophecy of the Holy Prophet (sa) and Allah’s promise, providing continuous guidance and peace to its followers.
How can a mother can safeguard her children from the negative influence of social media?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised the negative impacts of excessive screen time, such as eye strain, reduced concentration and poorer academic performance and advised that these effects should be explained to children in a friendly manner and praying for their protection from harm.
While it might not be possible to eliminate screen usage entirely, Huzoor (aba) suggested parents limit it to one hour per day. He noted that many mothers who implemented this rule found their children understood and followed it.
Huzoor(aba) was asked if when someone was usurping one’s rights, should one should speak out against it or remain patient?
Find this difficult to summarise. Please see Huzoor’s(aba) answer on the video
The Secretary of Tabligh sought guidance from Huzoor (aba) regarding a planned summer tabligh initiative by Lajna members and Nasirat, which involves holding a sign that reads: 'I am a Muslim; ask your question.'
Huzoor (aba) advised that women should adopt similar methods to those used by men for tabligh and emphasised the importance of engaging with other women, noting that women are more likely to approach and listen to fellow women. Huzoor (aba) highlighted the need to set a good example and urged the women to enhance their knowledge. Huzoor (aba) pointed out that when inviting questions with a sign, it is crucial to be well-informed and able to provide accurate answers.
JAMIA CONVOCATION
On 1st June, the Jamia Convocation took place in Haslemere, Surrey and Huzoor(aba) presented Jamia students from the UK, Germany and Canada with their Shahid Degree Certificates to students. Huzoor(aba) also delivered a faith-inspiring keynote address and mentioned three important points that all new missionaries must remember for which “then preachers of our community can be beneficial.” (a detailed summary is on the MTA video link).

PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY – This Week with Huzoor – 14th June 2024
On Sunday, 9 June 2024, the National Amila of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya, Canada visited Islamabad, Tilford, UK. Below we produce just a summary of some of the questions and answers that were exchanged.
We start with taking a few notable quotes from the answers Huzoor (aba) gave and the full context can be read within the relevant Q/A sections.
Regarding the current world situation, what is the possibility of Khilafat migrating again?
“God knows best” was Huzoor (aba)’s initial response and said even the previous migration [Hijra] was not pre-planned. Huzoor(aba) continued “ ... it will be up to the Khalifa of the time to decide what is the most appropriate course of action,” when the state of affairs becomes dire and then time when Europe and Western countries will oppose the Jama’at. “Allah the Almighty will take Khilafat to wherever it is best and wherever the Jama’at can continue to progress.” Huzoor(aba) concluded with: “Migrations have never been undertaken with any planning from before, they just occur based on the circumstances.”
How can we instil both love and fear of God in children?
Huzoor(aba)'s answer was quite long but in summary he said parents should instil both love and fear of God in children, emphasising God’s love and blessings. Children naturally accept their parents' guidance, not out of fear but to avoid upsetting them. Similarly, said Huzoor(aba), instil a respectful fear of displeasing God, as He should be loved more than one's parents. Instead of focusing solely on God's punishment, highlight His countless favours and provisions. This approach fosters a loving relationship with God, leading to an automatic, respectful fear of His displeasure. Teach children to love God first and the fear of upsetting Him will naturally follow, just as they do with their parents.
Can a Khalifa of the time ever lead salat at the Holy Ka'aba?
Huzoor(aba) responded: “If the opportunity arises and Allah creates the circumstances, then the Khalifa shall lead the salat [at the Holy Ka'aba]. This will be decided by the Khalifa of the time.”
Huzoor(aba) was asked about what will be the the status of the interest-based financial system after Ahmadiyyat’s global victory
In summary, Huzoor(aba) said that when Islamic teachings will prevail, the system of interest will naturally end as the Holy Qur’an declares interest unlawful. Historically, Islamic governments thrived without interest, with people engaging in trade and business. Wealthy Companions of the Holy Prophet(sa) achieved their status through trade, not interest. If an Islamic system is established and implemented by governments, interest will cease automatically.
Huzoor (aba) also said: “We will also have to see what things from the current system are counted as interest and which are not. For example, with regards to the price of something, the Promised Messiah(as) has stated that if it is less, take for example a newspaper which sells for two rupees, that is fine. But if you say that I will pay it after six months or a year, then this seller has the right to say that he will take 2 1/2 or 3 Rs. That is the cost of it because of the delayed payment and owing to the effort he spent on it. Such instances need to be addressed to determine what constitutes lawful trade versus interest."
Huzoor (aba) said that even in the current system, there are certain aspects that cannot be explicitly labelled as interest. However, because they are intertwined with a system that operates on interest, further research is required to understand the matter thoroughly.
Schools [in Canada] are inculcating greater sympathy for Israel whilst forgetting the plight of Palestinians, what role can Ahmadi Children play in this regard?
Huzoor (aba) said there is no need for protests and that Ahmadis should communicate to the administration that we oppose the injustices faced by Israelis and believe such wrongs should not occur. Simultaneously, Huzoor(aba) said, we must also voice our concerns about the injustices against Palestinian children and seek ways to protect them. This should be conveyed to the administration in a thoughtful and intelligent manner.
Huzoor (aba) went on to say that if the administration takes this stance, it is neither necessary nor permissible to protest or demonstrate. Instead, we should express our sympathy for both Israeli and Palestinian children affected by violence and advocate for balance and justice.
Huzoor (aba) advised that parents should encourage their children to speak out and write to the administration, highlighting that while support for Israel is noted, equal attention must be given to the innocent Palestinian children and others worldwide who suffer. Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that: “Parents should also write to the schools, saying that they should instil in the children to sympathise with anyone who is innocent, no matter who they may be. So, parents must also play their role in this regard."
What is the distinction in the efficacy of prayers between regular individuals and those deeply connected with Allah?
Huzoor (aba) explained that those who maintain an intense connection with Allah often experience a higher rate of answered prayers and elaborated on this by referencing the Holy Qur’an, observing that even those who may not fully adhere to God’s commandments or lack strong belief in Him, find themselves praying in moments of extreme difficulty. These prayers, born out of immediate need, are sometimes answered, bringing such individuals temporarily closer to faith before they return to their usual ways. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that while God hears all supplications, the prayers of the devout are more consistently granted acceptance.
How can the Ahmadi Muslim youth be safeguarded with regards to sex education?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised that it is the responsibility of parents to discuss and explain certain matters to their children at home stating that if young children have questions about complex topics, they should be gently informed that they are not yet at an age to comprehend such matters fully despite it being introduced in school at an early age. Such guidance by parents should then be done with care and gentleness, rather than with strictness.
Huzoor (aba) said an effective approach is for the Mohtamim Atfal to create guidelines on these issues and provide them to parents who need assistance in this regard. Huzoor (aba) reiterated that parents should strive to befriend their children and engage in open and friendly conversations with them, creating an environment of trust and understanding.
Some national office holders do not attend local majlis and Jama’at events due to their responsibilities. What is Huzoor's (aba) advice with regard to this?
Huzoor (aba) stated that those who are exceptionally busy and unable to attend can be excuse, but if they are available, it is encouraged to participate in the events. and it is not acceptable to miss a majlis meeting simply because of holding a position. Huzoor (aba) further shared that during his time as Mohtamim, he also took part in the local majlis’ events. Huzoor(aba)’s answer goes more into detail about positions in Jama’at – please see the video.
What guidance can Huzoor(aba) provide regarding parents who avoid participating in Atfal events by citing difficulties in bringing their children and requesting transportation?
Huzoor(aba) responded: “If they have a legitimate reason, then you can consider while assessing your budget, then you should keep a provision for this [transportation] in the budget. However, if the reason is not valid, then one can only keep reminding them.”
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that events should be organised in a manner that facilitates participation for everyone. For instance, Huzoor (aba) suggested holding events of various auxiliaries simultaneously to make it easier for all to attend. Huzoor(aba) said: “If the different Nizams cooperate with one another, then they will all run smoothly. No nizam can run independently; neither the Lajna, nor the Khuddam, nor the Ansar, nor the Atfal. This is the same for all.”
Huzoor (aba) also said there might be other practical difficulties as a family car might not be available and if there are legitimate reasons you should accept it. Also he said that in light of the increases in the cost of living, it is recommended considering shared car journeys rather than using multiple vehicles.

PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY – This Week with Huzoor – 21st June 2024
On Saturday, 15 June 2024, a delegation of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya from the USA’s East Region which has 85 Khuddam in their Majalis were blessed with the opportunity for an in-person mulaqat with Huzoor(aba) at Islamabad, Tilford, UK.
Throughout the mulaqat, the Khuddam also asked questions and received guidance from Huzoor(aba).
We begin by selecting a few quotes from the answers provided by Huzoor (aba). The complete context can be found in the respective Q/A sections..
Discussing the purpose of their visit, Zohan Sahib expressed: “We came to pray behind Huzoor(aba).” Huzoor(aba) smiled and asked: “And to enjoy Islamabad?” Zohan Sahib added: “Yes, and to experience Khilafat first-hand.”
Question was asked about the roles of various Muslim factions in the current conflict in the Holy Land.
Huzoor(aba) mentioned that these factions often emerge from grander geopolitical actions and may not truly embody the essence of serving the Muslim nations. He imparted wisdom on the limited potency of such factions when faced with dominant global powers, emphasising the sacred necessity of unity among the Muslim nations. He declared that without the solidarity of all 54 Muslim countries, these minor factions would remain ineffectual.
Abdul Mujeeb Othman said that he serves as nurse in the US Army. He expressed his concerns about himself and other Ahmadis serving in the army during current global conflicts.
Huzoor(aba) advised Abdul Sb that he should consider joining the medical corps, as it would be a more suitable path and emphasised that by doing so, he will not be directly participating in any acts of cruelty committed by the army.
Referring to Ahmadi Muslims serving in the army, Huzoor(aba) explained that soldiers are bound to follow orders wherever they are deployed. Therefore, he advised that it is better to either leave the army or join the medical corps. He highlighted that by joining the medical corps, he will be engaged in humanitarian work instead of being directly involved in acts of cruelty, as being part of the army requires compliance with their orders. Thus, it is preferable to leave before facing such a dilemma.
Huzoor(aba) was asked if he received a vision from Allah that he will be the next Khalifa?
Huzoor(aba) replied: “I didn’t receive anything, even till the last moment. I was just embarrassed that it had been announced that I had been elected as Khalifa and you could see it from my face at that time. It was quite embarrassing for me.”
Armaghan Sahib shared his personal feelings about his current job at a bank, mentioning a sense of unfulfillment and a strong desire to contribute more significantly to the Jama’at.
Huzoor(aba) advised that any available time during the week or weekends should be devoted to Jama’at activities. He particularly emphasised that members of the tabligh team should intensify their efforts in their missionary work and suggested setting a personal goal of bringing 10 new converts to each year.
Will we, as Ahmadis, also be protected from calamities?
Huzoor(aba) said such a premise has some preconditions. “Don’t call yourself Ahmadi by name but by deed. If you are good, are following the commandments of Allah Almighty, are following all the injunctions given in the Holy Qur’an, praying all your daily prayers fervently and sincerely, then you will be saved.”
Huzoor(aba) quoted the Promised Messiah(as): “There is fire but all will be saved from that fire who love the God of Great Wonders. Then you have to judge yourself if you have that in-depth love for Allah Almighty in your heart and if you have you will be saved, so discharge your duties you owe to Allah Almighty and discharge your duties to your fellow human beings.”
Tasleem Sahib asked how does God see our intentions when we help others but they feel we are harming them?
Huzoor(aba) responded by referencing a hadith of the Holy Prophet(sa), emphasising that all your deeds depend on your intentions. He reassured Tasleem Sahib that if your intention is good, then Allah the Almighty sees your intention and will reward you. Huzoor(aba) also emphasised: “Always remember before doing anything that Allah is watching over me.”
Umar Sahib asked how one can uphold moral and spiritual integrity amidst the temptations and challenges of college life, like drugs, alcohol, and social pressures?
Huzoor(aba) advised to engage in Istighfar whenever encountering such negativity and also quoted Chapter 23, Verse 4 of the Holy Qur’an which states: “And who shun all that is vain.”
Huzoor(aba) then mentioned some shorts prayers one should recite in such instances like:
“A’ūdhu bil-lāhi minash-Shaytānir-rajīm” [‘I seek refuge with Allah, from Satan, the accursed.’] and “Astaghfirul-lāha Rab-bī min kul-li dhambinw-wa atūbu ilayh” [I beg pardon from Allah, my Lord, for all my sins, and turn to Him.]
When encountering social evils, Huzoor(aba) stressed the importance of turning away and seeking refuge elsewhere. He highlighted the significance of performing the five daily prayers and supplicating to Allah Almighty for protection from the enticing evils of society. With a firm resolve to defeat Satan, Huzoor(aba) assured that, inshallah, success will follow.
Taha Sahib asked what role should fathers play in the upbringing of children to ensure balanced moral and educational development?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the crucial role of fathers in actively participating in their sons' upbringing and highlighted the importance of Jama’at support structures, such as Atfal-ul Ahmadiyya and Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, in providing positive influences and mentorship. Huzoor(aba) suggested that these auxiliaries should identify well-trained youths of similar ages to foster friendships, thereby strengthening the boys’ connections to Jama’at activities and values. Huzoor(aba) urged that: “Fathers should also bear the responsibility and give attention to their children instead of just involving themselves in worldly affairs.”
Huzoor(aba) called upon the three auxiliary organisations – Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya, Majlis Ansarullah and Lajna Imaillah, to collaborate so that children are better trained and ensure they are attached to the Jama’at. Huzoor(aba) stressed that, while the challenge is significant, a concerted effort and commitment from both parents and Jama’at are essential for the effective moral training of the next generation.
“Help the mothers. Ask them what type of help they need from you and then extend help to them.” Huzoor(aba) said.
Zeeshan Zafar asked how can those Khuddam who are moving out, stay connected to the Jama'at?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of a strong support system within the Jama’at to ensure young members remain engaged and connected when they move to new locations and mentioned: “If the Khuddam have received good tarbiyat from the beginning and are attached to the Jama’at in one Majlis, they will naturally attach themselves to the Jama’at in another Majlis – they cannot live without the Jama’at. However, if they are lazy in one Jama’at, they will be lazy in another.”
Huzoor(aba) advised that local Jama’at structures should be proactive and welcoming, immediately integrating newcomers into their fold. The Jama’at’s administrative system should swiftly integrate relocating members to keep them engaged.
Huzoor(aba) also emphasised that it “...all depends on the efficiency of your system in your respective Jama’ats,” noting that the Qaid or Nazim of the previous Jama’at should inform the new Jama’at about the relocating individual. The roles of the Secretary Tarbiyat and Nazim Tarbiyat are crucial in establishing contact with new arrivals and making them feel included.
Huzoor (aba) concluded by saying that individual Ahmadis should take personal initiative to connect with the local Jama’at when they move. The Jama’at should act quickly to integrate relocating members to prevent them from drifting away or being influenced by external and potentially negative influences.

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) presides over a mulaqat with Lajna and Waqifaat-e-Nau from Scotland. In his Friday Sermon, Huzoor (aba) spoke regarding the siege of the Banu Nadir Fortresses.
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, a group of Waqifaat-e-Nau from Scotland visited Islamabad for a mulaqat with Huzoor (aba). During the meeting, participants asked several questions to Huzoor (aba) on matters of faith and contemporary issues. Below, we provide a summary of some of the questions and answers discussed.
We begin by selecting a few quotes from the questions and answers. The complete context can be found in the relevant Q/A’s below. However, it is better to view the MTA YouTube video or read from the Al-Hakam article for the detailed reports.
How can we increase the attendance in classes from those who are married and say they are busy with family and children?
In response to the question, Huzoor(aba) pointed out that the Waqifaat-e-Nau secretary, who also has three children, manages to find time for Jama’at activities and conducts classes, emphasising that it all depends on one’s intention. Huzoor(aba) acknowledged that caring for young children is understandable, allowing temporary exemptions for mothers in such cases. However, Huzoor(aba) also stated that regular absence from activities is not advisable.
Huzoor(aba) further stated that if someone claims to be too busy or shows reluctance due to childcare responsibilities, they may request temporary exemption, but regular excuses are not appropriate. Huzoor (aba) stated regarding Waqf that: "If dedicating one's life was so easy, then everyone would dedicate their lives. The very meaning of dedicating one's life is that whenever one will be called upon to serve for the sake of Allah the Almighty or for the Jama'at [...] one will partake in whatever the task may be, even if one has to endure some difficulty."
Huzoor(aba) stressed the importance of explaining lovingly, rather than harshly, to Waqf-e-Nau members about their significant role and responsibilities within the Jama’at. It is important for them to effectively balance their commitments as parents alongside their duties.
Zaiba Ahmad, aged 12, asked about the significance of the numbers 33, 33, and 34 in tasbih after salat and why we do not recite any surah after Surah al-Fatihah in the last two rak‘ahs during prayers.
Huzoor(aba) said: “Once, a party of poor Companions(ra) of the Holy Prophet(sa) came to him and said that ‘there are well-off people who do all types of sacrifices; they do Jihad and because of their being well affluent, they spend money in the cause of Allah, but we do not have enough money to spend.’ The Holy Prophet(sa), said: ‘Okay, I will tell you one thing which can make you be such as if you have done all those types of sacrifices which they were doing.’”
Huzoor(aba) continued and said that after each prayer, one should recite: _SubhanAllah (glory be to Allah) 33 times, Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) 33 times and Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) 34 times_, totaling 100 recitations. This practice is recommended as it earns blessings from Allah the Almighty.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that this count of 100 is a minimum and one can continue to recite more throughout the day if time permits, as advised by the Holy Prophet(sa) to engage in constant remembrance of Allah (Zikri-Ilahi )
Regarding the Tasbihat after prayer, Huzoor(aba) said: “In the short time, you can do this much. If you do it after each prayer, that means you have recited the name of Allah the Almighty, glorified His name, and sought His blessing 500 times in a day. That is quite a good number, which can please Allah the Almighty and even if it is more than that, it does not matter.”
Explaining why no additional surah is recited after Surah Fatiha in the last two rak'ats of prayers, Huzoor(aba) clarified: “Whatever we are doing, we have to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet(sa).”
Anayah Ahmad, aged 8, said she was left-handed and found it hard to use her right hand for tasks. She asked Huzoor(aba) to pray for her and guide her.
Huzoor(aba), speaking with her, said: “If you are left-handed, it doesn’t matter. There are quite a number of people who are left-handed. But, make it a point that whenever you are eating food, you should try to use your right hand.”
A young lady told Huzoor(aba) that she wanted to start practising proper purdah but felt shy about doing so?
In response, Huzoor(aba) said: “Do you believe in God? Do you think it is a commandment of Allah the Almighty that you should be modestly dressed?"
Once the questioner confirmed that she did believe, Huzoor(aba) said: “Then, you should not feel shy. Then, you will have to make yourself determined that whatever you are going to do, you will do according to the teachings of Islam and according to the commandments of Allah the Almighty. There is no need to feel shy or worry about what other people say about you.”
Huzoor(aba) reminded her that she is among those who will be guiding the world and added that she should feel confident within herself and “...whatever people say, let them say, don’t worry about it and be determined that you have to follow the teachings of Islam.”
Sabeeka Basharat said parents and children sometimes have differing opinions, such as in regards to subjects in school, what should one do in such a situation?
Huzoor(aba) started by saying: “... are you the one studying or your parents?” and as such she should study the subject of her interest.
When people seek Huzoor's (aba) advice on what to study, he encourages them to list their preferences and offers suggestions based on what he thinks might suit them. Huzoor (aba) emphasised: "...whatever your interest is, you should study that."
Huzoor (aba) noted that some parents may not be aware of today's educational options for various reasons and stated: “Therefore, there is no need to listen to them in these matters. Whatever your interest is, do that.” He added that if there is no particular interest, they should consider job market opportunities. Huzoor (aba) advised studying subjects that can benefit their [future] children both morally and educationally.
Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying there is no harm in not obeying parents in these educational matters, as it is not a matter of Islamic law and does not constitute disobedience to parents.
Aqeela Zafar, asked why religion in the modern age is needed if secular knowledge alone can make one morally good?
Huzoor(aba) conveyed that Allah Almighty has created humanity with two fundamental purposes: to worship Him and to fulfil the rights of fellow human beings. Being grateful to Allah Almighty is crucial because He has provided everything necessary for our existence, including systems and morals taught by religions worldwide, all emphasising mutual responsibilities and good conduct.
Fulfilling these moral duties towards others is commendable but incomplete without gratitude to Allah Almighty. Those who disregard religion may receive leniency in punishment, yet they will be rewarded for their service and good morals towards humanity.
As Ahmadi Muslims, we believe that Allah Almighty created us to worship Him and to treat others with kindness and fairness. This dual obligation is the essence of our faith. Huzoor(aba) stressed the importance of explaining this perspective without judgment about the afterlife and specifically mentioning gratitude towards Allah Almighty in fulfilling responsibilities towards others as a fundamental aspects of our moral duty.
Huzoor(aba) was asked how one can persuade people in their class to believe in God? Huzoor(aba) said that she can tell them her personal experience with God and then inquired whether she believed in God and if she had ever experienced His help, to which she responded in the affirmative. Huzoor(aba) encouraged her to share her personal experiences with others as a way to explain her belief in God. However, he pointed out that belief in Allah Almighty cannot be imposed on anyone.
Huzoor(aba) recommended reading a small booklet titled The 10 Proofs on the Existence of God and the book Our God to enable herself in addressing such questions effectively. Huzoor(aba) reiterated the importance of demonstrating her own spiritual experiences as a compelling testament to her faith.
