PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor - 2 June 2023 – University graduates from Germany
“Strive to please Allah and everyone else will eventually be pleased.”
(Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V)
Atifa Ahmad Sahiba gave a presentation on how to reduce social inequality in education. Huzoor(aba) then gave some guidance & encouraged the Lajna students’ Association (AMWSA) members to gather data on individuals who had pursued further education & remained attached to the Jama’at as well. Huzoor’s (aba) reply was quite detailed & one is encouraged to read it full here or view the video: www.alhakam.org/germany-graduates-meet-huzoor/
Aamir Sahib (Ph.D in Genetics), gave a presentation on retinal degeneration. Huzoor’s (aba) response was also quite detailed – please visit the link above or view the video .
Nine questions were then asked & we present below & in no particular order, a very basic summary of the questions & their answers.
Some of us after graduating, might have thought of starting a business rather than get a job. Shahzad Ahmad Syed SB (Ph.D in Pharmacy) asked Huzoor(aba) if graduates should start their own business or first gain experience with a job.
Huzoor(aba) said: “Employment can help regulate life,” & there was no harm in gaining experience through employment. Huzoor(aba) said some people may feel more relaxed running their own business but it is advisable to work & save & then consider starting a pharmacy.
Hadia Syed Sahiba asked if it is permissible to leave one’s children in daycare or at one’s parents’ home if they get the chance to do work in their field of study.
Huzoor(aba) said that if circumstances require this & is obligatory, then one can make such arrangements.
Tahir Inam Sb (physician), enquired about healing & treating patients.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that doctors should diligently pray to Allah, seeking His guidance to effectively treat patients & accurately diagnose their illnesses. Huzoor(aba) also said when writing a prescription, it is beneficial to write هو الشافي (He is the Healer) on the medication to serve as a constant reminder that the ultimate source of healing is from Allah. Huzoor(aba) also suggested that when entering their workplace, doctors should recite Surah al-Fatiha, as it contains healing (shifa’) properties as well.
Sobia Saeed Sahiba asked Huzoor(aba) the Islamic perspective on women travelling alone for work or studies.
Huzoor(aba) replied that if a journey consists only of men, it is preferable to avoid such circumstances & if there are a few women on the team, then it would be permissible as long as arrangements are made for separate accommodations upon reaching the destination. Huzoor(aba) also said that permissibility may vary depending on the nature of the study or research being undertaken & is a matter that should be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific conditions & circumstances surrounding the situation. One is advised to read the full answer.
Muslim women have been increasingly active in politics around the world, making significant contributions in various positions of power.
Bintul Mahdi Ahmad Sahiba (completing Master’s Degree in Education) asked if women can engage in politics?
Huzoor(aba) replied that though teaching itself is a very noble & commendable profession & if her passion is to enter politics that is fine, but she should ensure that it aligns with the principles of clean & ethical politics. Huzoor(aba) also encouraged her to consider ways to uphold women’s rights & other human rights, as this would then be of significance and beneficial.
Fazeel Ayyaz Sb said to Huzoor(aba) that fluency in the German language was seen as a means of integration & asked if there were other factors that could demonstrate integration.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of knowing the language of the country in which one resides though this alone is not sufficient for integration as it is equally important to abide by the laws of the land & actively contribute to the betterment of the country. Huzoor(aba) mentioned that if one performs good work & proves to be beneficial for the country, people will naturally embrace & integrate them. Huzoor(aba) emphasised: “Strive to please Allah and everyone else will eventually be pleased.”

PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor - 9 June 2023
These virtual meetings with Huzoor(aba) are an immense blessing for the global Jama’at and his relationship with the Jama’at is indeed special & unique. The opportunity to meet Huzoor(aba), personally or virtually, is a deeply personal & meaningful experience for individuals or Jama’at groups from all over the world & provides the opportunity to seek guidance, receive blessings & engage in spiritual dialogue.
Advice, information etc given by Huzoor(aba) in these sessions are in many cases applicable to other Jama’ats and depts around the world so everyone, anywhere, should try & listen.
Majlis Ansarullah of Canada were privileged to have such a virtual meeting & below we produce just a gist of this session.
“There are not only elderly people in Ansar.” (Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V)
Suhail Saqib Sahib, reported to Huzoor(aba) that he oversees the Isha’at dept. Huzoor(aba) was surprised to hear that the quarterly Nahnu Ansarullah (We are the helpers of Allah) magazine was only published quarterly despite the large number of Ansar. Huzoor(aba) said: “You should publish it regularly. That is why Ansar are unaware of certain matters.” Huzoor(aba) said this might be the reason they become lax in reading it regularly so they should aim to publish it monthly which will also encourage members to write articles that will be more creative and innovative to appeal to different interests of the Ansar – “There are not only elderly people in Ansar,” said Huzoor(aba).
Huzoor(aba) said, the Dept should seek good writers and have an essay-writing competition which can be “...rewarded with a gift or some form of encouragement can be given...” for more writers to come forward. Huzoor(aba) then smiled and jokingly said: “The condition of the Ansar now is similar to that of children where if you give them a reward, they will do work, otherwise they won’t!...”
Huzoor(aba) asked the Qaid Ta’lim, Khalid Sharma Sb which books were assigned for study. Khalid Sb replied that the books, Our Teaching, Shahadatul Qur’an and Nishan-e-Asmani were assigned for different periods. Huzoor(aba) proceeded to ask more detailed questions.
When it came to the issue of prayers in congregation, when speaking to the Qaid Tarbiyat, Attaul Zafar Sb, Huzoor(aba) expressed concern at the low figures of members praying the 5 daily prayers & remarked: “If attention is not given to prayer by the Ansar, then when will it be?” Huzoor(aba) said regular reminders throughout the year should be put in place for namaz & recitation & translation of the Holy Qur’an.
Huzoor (aba) also spoke to the Qaid in charge of new Ahmadis and advised that every new convert should be entrusted to an existing Ahmadi and it is important to have them present in gatherings to develop friendship & brotherhood which will help them to integrate better.
Other members then discussed their roles and status of their depts. Readers are strongly encouraged to read or view the detailed report of these departmental discussions.
QUESTION
Daud Ismael Sb (Nazim-e-A’la) commented that children growing up in the West have a communication gap with their parents & sought Huzoor(aba)’s advice for parents.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised early in their life, a child is naturally attached to their parents & if the parents maintain this attachment & encourage open communication, even as the child grows older & ventures outside, they should make it a habit to share their experiences & listen to what the child has to say. Huzoor(aba) said there are parents who follow this approach & as a result, their children remain closely connected to them.
Huzoor(aba) laid the emphasis on parents & said children need to feel & understand their parents’ compassion towards them. Huzoor(aba)’s reply was quite detailed – please do read the full answer at the AlHakam link below or view the Youtube video from MTA.
Concluding Remarks
Huzoor(aba) later said that all Amila members should cultivate a special relationship with Allah with prayers & reciting the Holy Qur’an. Huzoor(aba) said: “...that when such an environment is established within households, it ensures the fulfilment of the rights of both spouses & children.”
Huzoor(aba) acknowledged that in the present day, countries in the West posed significant challenges especially with widespread indecency which is often portrayed as progressive education of the modern era. However, Huzoor(aba) clarified that this is not genuine education but rather an agenda propagated by those who oppose Almighty God & emphasised that it is the duty of every nasir to understand how to effectively counter this agenda.

BRIEF SUMMARY
• Waqifaat-e-Nau from Canada on 11 June 2023
•Huzoor’s address at the IAAAE Conference
QUOTE
“Huzoor(aba) also reminded a key Islamic teaching that Allah has prohibited engaging in gossip, spreading false information and speaking ill of others.” (see below)
Waqifaat-e-Nau (Canada)
An very enlightening session with 910 Waqifaat-e-Nau from Canada who asked an array of questions that include matters of gender identity, social media impacts on privacy, if Rukhsati is necessary, dealing with stress, is burqa really necessary and divorced women’s fear of marrying again.
The summary below is just that – a brief summary of the questions and answers. The session can be only fully beneficial if one views the full Q/A as covered by the MTA Youtube video and AlHakam textual report link
Mohsina Sahiba asked how can we can guide our young children, who are being taught many un-Islamic and confusing concepts at school, for example, the idea that gender is fluid?
Huzoor(aba) reminded that he said many times that they should befriend & interact with their children very closely “...and that when your children learn about genders or anything else, ask them what they have learned. Then explain to them according to their age, there are some things that they cannot understand & that when they grow up, they will understand such things. Explain to them the true reality of these issues.”
Huzoor(aba) then said that those who assign different genders to themselves are becoming the laughing stock of their own absurdities.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of conveying to Ahmadi children that Allah has created human beings in a specific manner with biological differences between males and females that humans cannot alter at will.
Ayesha Ahmad Sahiba asked Huzoor(aba) how to address the significant impact social media has affected on human privacy?
Huzoor(aba) said: “...with the advent of social media, rumours spread rapidly and widely,” & this was the reason why he had previously suggested turning off mobile devices during Jama’at events, especially for Lajna & also cautioned against unnecessarily posting everything on social media.
Huzoor(aba) said it is humans that are responsible for this breach and emphasised the need for mindfulness, the importance of educating adults, children, students & siblings about the negative consequences of inappropriate actions. Huzoor(aba) then suggested that Waqifaat-e-Nau can actively contribute to addressing this issue of compromised privacy by writing articles and sending to local media for possible publication to help raise awareness of such harmful impacts of social media.
Huzoor(aba) also reminded a key Islamic teaching that Allah has prohibited engaging in gossip, spreading false information and speaking ill of others.
Kazima Asim Sahiba asked what is the significance of rukhsati & why individuals are instructed not to meet their spouse alone after the nikah until the rukhsati has taken place?
Huzoor(aba) said that once the Nikah is performed, from “...the Islamic perspective you are husband and wife. At that point, whether you hold a Rukhsati, or after the Nikah at the Mosque, the husband takes the hand of his wife and brings her home, the parents have no right to stop him.”
Huzoor(aba) then went on to say that because of traditions & the influence of the traditional culture in India and Pakistan, we have held this Rukhsati ceremony. “Otherwise, the Nikah is the actual requirement...”
Huzoor(aba) also advised that it is better not to spend [excessively] on wedding functions like the Mangnee, Nikah and Mehndi and better to adopt simplicity and the money saved can be spent on a wedding of a poor person. Huzoor(aba) then gave an example during the time of the Holy Prophet(sa) and the simplicity of marriage. Readers should listen to the MTA YouTube link for the full answer.
Huzoor(aba) also said to the questioner light-heartedly: “If you have the courage, then stand up against [the trends of] this era and your family & take leave of your parents after the Nikah. When your marriage takes place, take a stand. You can say, ‘This is the Islamic way.’ You have permission from me to do so!”
Adeela Qaiser Sahiba asked if it is mandatory for Muslim women to wear an outer covering such as a burqa or a coat?
Huzoor(aba) replied that if your attire is suitable and loose, Islam does not command you to wear a coat and Hijab. Huzoor(aba) said the Holy Qur’an instructs women to draw their head-coverings over their bosoms because otherwise their facial beauty and body features are exposed. “The burqa or coat is an innovation or an invention that women have created for their own ease and convenience.”
However, Huzoor(aba) stressed that “purdah is mandatory and modest clothing is mandatory.” It is important to ensure that one’s body figure should not be exposed or visible in any way. Huzoor(aba) concluded: “There is wisdom in all Islamic injunctions; you have all come up with innovations which shatter that wisdom.”
Tashifa Imtiaz Sahiba sought Huzoor(aba)’s advice on how to strengthen her bond with Allah and maintain steadfastness during stressful times.
Huzoor(aba) advised that when one realises that they may be undergoing a test from Allah, they should earnestly pray and supplicate, saying: “If this trial is the punishment for some sin of mine, then please forgive me.” Huzoor(aba) said it is important to offer sincere prayers with full concentration and seek His help in overcoming the difficulties if it is indeed a trial.
Huzoor(aba) then later stated, we should also never be ungrateful and that in one’s better times, it is crucial to express gratitude as Allah says: “If you are grateful then I shall increase My grace upon you.”
During salat, one should pray and make prostrations, saying لا حول ولا قوة إلا باللّٰه (no one possesses strength or power except Allah) and استغفراللّٰه ربّي من کلّ ذنب (I seek forgiveness from Allah).
Huzoor(aba) concluded: “If Allah does not accept our prayers then either it is a fault on our part or it is the desire of Allah the Almighty that this should not happen for you in this way. Allah the Almighty subsequently grants you benefit in another manner.”
Izza Atif Sahiba asked for Huzoor(aba)’s guidance about someone who has been divorced and is scared to get married again?
Huzoor(aba) advised that it is important to pray for favourable circumstances and that may Allah protect anyone from such difficult situations. However, said Huzoor(aba), sometimes, relationships may not work out, but there are numerous examples of individuals who have found happiness after divorce by praying and entering into a new marriage.
Huzoor(aba) mentioned that many people have experienced this positive change in their lives and said: “...it is better to get married as this is a commandment within Islam that a divorced woman should get married ...”
Huzoor(aba) concluding remark for the session were extensive – please view the video at the link below.
Address at the Annual Conference of IAAAE
This was a physical session held at Islamabad. Huzoor(aba) was very pleased and acknowledged that many of his suggestions made to IAAAE were implemented and were successful. One of these was Huzoor’s(aba) direction to focus on providing water to people living in extremely deprived & underprivileged parts of the world. “Alhumdolillah, the IAAAE have worked diligently to fulfil this directive by installing water wells and pumps across Africa.” said Huzoor(aba).
Huzoor(aba) also said that last year, he instructed IAAAE to prepare for all eventualities and emergencies like how they will play a role in rebuilding society in the event of, God forbid, a full scale World War. Huzoor(aba) said with regards to all projects “...that IAAAE should continue to develop and refine these plans...,” and always remembering to serve humanity and show compassion and kindness to all as Islam has instructed Muslims to do so. The YouTube video shows considerably more of the address and a meeting with some of the special attendees.

Poem about the Inauguration by AMA UK Gallery
In a scenic location north of the UK, a new mosque stands named Baitus Salaam.
A beacon of faith installing a renewed sense of calm.
From its humble roots, it seeks to inspire.
To spread its message of 'Love for All Hatred for None' for all to acquire.
Oh, Baitus Salaam mosque, spreading your wings.
Touching souls with the love you bring.
May your worldwide awareness soar.
A beacon of peace forevermore.
In the presence of believers, gathered in grace.
Huzoor's(aba) radiant smile illuminated the space.
A beacon of guidance, a source of inspiration.
He leads with wisdom, love and dedication.
Huzoor's (aba) words in his address resound, echoing through the air.
A call to unity, to goodness and to care.
Huzoor's presence in Scunthorpe, a blessing profound.
His teachings resonate, forever renowned.
This new landmark mosque of Baitus Salaam, a testament of devotion.
A sacred space, a beacon of emotion.
A testament to the Islamic faith that it imparts.
Welcoming all with open hearts.
Oh, blessed inauguration, witnessed by many through MTA.
Huzoor's(aba) touch, a divine call, indeed a moment to be enthralled.
May this mosque flourish, for the whole community to cherish.
Indeed a symbol of peace, unity & kindness, that is Baitus Salaam Mosque.
BRIEF SUMMARY of 'This Week with Huzoor': 23 June 2023
Inauguration of Baitus Salaam mosque in Scunthorpe
The new Baitus Salaam mosque incorporates a multi-purpose hall & can accommodate over 250 people. Its build, however, was not without local contention & the Jama’at faced significant opposition, but the local council upheld its values of tolerance & freedom of religion & gave permission for the mosque which was then constructed entirely from the contributions of the Scunthorpe Jama’at. By Allah’s grace, prayers of Huzoor(aba) and the Jama’at, Baitus Salaam Mosque, meaning ‘House of Peace’ has become a reality.
Scunthorpe is an industrial town with population of over 80,000 residents. The town is approx. 220 miles (355km) or just over 4 hours’ drive from Baitul Futuh Mosque.
Inauguration Day
On 17 June 2023, Huzoor(aba) inaugurated Baitus Salaam Mosque in Scunthorpe with the unveiling of the plaque and planting of an olive tree. A special reception was held later on the same day and dignitaries, leaders of various faiths, friends, locals and neighbours were present.
• The local MP Holly Mumby-Croft, said that she was privileged to be at the reception.
• Martin John Vickers, MP for nearby Cleethorpes, expressed that he was delighted to be present at the mosque & spoke about the challenges the Jama’at had before the construction of the mosque.
• In her address, Councillor Janet Longcake, Mayor of North Lincolnshire Council, expressed that, “…the Ahmadiyya Community motto ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’, conveys unity,” and added that, “…your faith is one that promotes peace and harmony, something the world needs right now.”
Huzoor(aba) then gave the keynote address where he spoke about Islam’s teaching on peace & kindness.
Huzoor(aba) thanked all the attendees & the Council and other relevant authorities in enabling this mosque to be constructed in the face of severe opposition. Huzoor(aba) also expressed his gratitude to “…all members of the community who supported us in any way.”
Stressing the importance of thankfulness in Islam, Huzoor(aba) said: “Offering my appreciation to you is actually a religious duty because the Holy Founder of Islam, the Holy Prophet, Muhammad(sa), stated that a person who is not thankful to his fellow human beings cannot be grateful to God Almighty. So, from a religious perspective, I am duty-bound to offer my heartfelt appreciation to all of you.”
Huzoor(aba) then addressed the fears about Islam in the West where often, Muslims are viewed with a degree of suspicion mainly because of media misrepresentation. Huzoor(aba) said Islam’s “…calls for members of society to unite as human beings, irrespective of their differences, in the common cause of establishing peace and security for all mankind.”
Huzoor(aba) quoted a saying of the Promised Messiah(as) who stated that "…if a person wishes to raise awareness of Islam in any town or place, they should build a mosque in that area.”
Huzoor(aba) also explained, “...the immaculate standards of religious freedom according to Islam, that all people should have the right to worship according to their religious beliefs and be free to congregate in their places of worship.”
Huzoor(aba) also commented about the state of current global conflicts and explained: “Religious wars are no longer taking place. Rather, the conflicts we observe today are geopolitical in nature.” Because of such unrest, Huzoor(aba) said, “...that alongside building mosques and seeking to convey Islamic teachings, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community places great emphasis on serving humanity.” To this, Huzoor(aba) gave examples of how the Jama’at has built schools, hospitals, provided education, healthcare and water to the most underprivileged parts of the world. “We consider the burdens of the weakest members of society to be our own and that it is our duty to provide health and comfort to all those who are in need or vulnerable.”
Concluding his address Huzoor(aba) said: “In the end, I pray that this mosque proves to be a shining beacon of peace and a means of elevating and strengthening the fabric of societal cohesion. May Allah the Almighty enable the local Ahmadi Muslims to live up to their religious teachings and may we all, for the betterment of our nation and the world at large, live together in peace and harmony.”

BRIEF SUMMARY of 'This Week with Huzoor': 30 June 2023
On 25 June 2023, the National Amila of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Japan was blessed with the opportunity to meet Huzoor(aba) in a virtual mulaqat.
The 2 Jama’ats in Japan are based in Tokyo and Nagoya and have a total Tajneed of 230. Before we proceed, here are some historical facts about the Japanese Jama’at (ref wiki).
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Japan began after a number of mentions by the Promised Messiah(as), who said: "[The Japanese nation] will attract their hearts towards Ahmadiyya and gradually they will gain momentum and strength. They will readily answer to my call just as birds answered the call of Prophet Abraham.” (The History of Muslims in Japan, The Muslim Times, November 25, 2015)
The first Ahmadi Muslim missionary to be sent to Japan was Sufi Abdul Qadeer, who was sent by the second Caliph. He arrived in Japan on June 4, 1935.
On September 8, 1951, Sir Muhammad Zafrullah Khan, (Pakistan’s Foreign Minister at the time) and the country’s delegate to the United Nations Security Council, spoke at the Treaty of San Francisco with Japan. Citing the Holy Prophet’s(sa) example of forgiveness and peace at the Victory of Makkah, he spoke in favour of a more humane treatment towards Japan, following the conclusion of the Second World War. At that time, Pakistan was the only country to hold this position. (Ref Wiki)
There is one mission house and a purpose-built mosque (Baitul Ahad) in Tsushima which was constructed in 2015 and is identified as ‘The Japan Mosque’ and can accommodate 500 people. It was inaugurated by Huzoor(aba) in November 2015.
Virtual Session Summary
Huzoor(aba) spoke to various heads of depts of the Majlis-e-Amila of Japan & below are brief bullet-point notes. Advice, information etc given by Huzoor(aba) in such sessions, are in many cases applicable to Jama’ats and Jama'at departments around the world so all members should take note.

- Tabligh target for the year is 10 and so far one Ba’iat has been achieved.
- 29,000 Tabligh leaflets have been distributed.
- Huzoor(aba) said the Jama’at should, for greater Tabligh success, concentrate efforts in areas where people are more inclined towards religion and less focused on worldly matters as they are in bigger cities. However, Huzoor(aba) said: “…for the major cities, endeavour to clear up the misconceptions about Islam that exist there.”
- Huzoor(aba) further emphasised there should be consistent and regular presence in locations where Tabligh was being carried out.
- Huzoor(aba) said of the administrative team of the Japan Jama’at: “The most crucial point is the fostering of harmony, love, and an atmosphere of trust amongst yourselves.” This trust in turn, said Huzoor(aba) should be reciprocated towards other Jama’at members. All kinds of complaints, grievances and grudges should be resolved. “Stand united. Success invariably comes when you stand firm and united as a cemented wall. Without this unity, success is not achievable.”
- With regards to Tarbiyat matters, Huzoor(aba) said this should be to ensure regularity of all members to offer the five daily prayers in congregation, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, listening to the Friday Sermon, reading the books of the Promised Messiah(as), maintaining a good moral character and to establishes an atmosphere of love – this, Huzoor(aba) said was to become role models for other Jama’ats.
- There are 82 Khuddam & 19 Atfal in Japan and Huzoor(aba) advised to keep the Khuddam attached and to organise events suited to their age groups. Huzoor(aba) said to one missionary who was studying at university that his focus should not only be his studies but also to introduce the teachings of Islam Ahmadiyyat within his university. [A point for all university students to note]
- Huzoor(aba) also explained the importance of teaching children the importance of engaging in financial sacrifice as there are blessings in doing so and explained that such contributions are not a tax & neither is the Jama’at in need, nor is Allah in need of anyone’s money.
- Huzoor(aba) was asked if past non-payment of chanda should impact eligibility for inclusion in Shura elections even if there were recent consistent contributions. Huzoor(aba) stated that, according to the established rules and regulations, individuals who have consistently paid their chanda for the past six months are to be counted in the elections.
