PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor - 12 January 2024
On Sunday 7 January, 2024, Ansar members from France were fortunate to have a virtual meeting with Huzoor(aba), during which they asked several questions. Presented here is a brief summary of some questions and their responses.
Please note that the detailed answers are more extensive and are available on the MTA International YouTube video or on the Al-Hakam link below.
How can we train our children to establish a strong connection with Khilafat?
Huzoor(aba) said one should create a personal bond with Allah and to include ones’ children in prayers whereby you will then find these connections continue to strengthen. Huzoor(aba) emphasised this importance of children and said: “Do not think that they will grow up and establish their own bond. Rather, instil these values in them from childhood. Parents play with, love and befriend their children in childhood, but when the children reach the age of 12-14, especially fathers, start to distance themselves from the boys, not maintaining the same level of friendship or communication. Mothers, on the other hand, continue to befriend and talk to their daughters, but fathers tend to step back. If fathers also play their role, the children will remain close. Attach them to the Jama’at. When you attach them to the Jama’at, the system of the Jama’at and that of Khilafat are one and the same, and this understanding will then develop in the children. Afterwards, they will become attached.”
What strategy should be adopted to address the intense hatred [in France] towards Islam?
Huzoor’s(aba) answer was very detailed but in summary said: “Many mainstream Muslims who have not accepted the Promised Messiah(as), have not done so because of the harsh attitudes of the so-called clerics and scholars and their incorrect interpretation of the Holy Qur’an. They have been presented with an image of Islam that is based on extremism.”
Huzoor(aba) also did say that this this perception cannot be quickly eliminated but one should work to “...convince one or two at a time and at the very least, continue to convey the message the Holy Qur’an which states it your duty is to preach the message revealed to you and guiding someone is the work of Allah Almighty.”
Huzoor(aba) also said it was important to create a positive image by our actions, distribution of literature, tabligh efforts and the use of social media to counteract the image presented by extremist clerics. “...Therefore, one must not lose hope and should not abandon their duty. Our task is to preach and if our intentions are pure, then it is the work of Allah to bear fruit.”
How can we strengthen our relationship with Allah the Almighty?
In response, Huzoor(aba) said do ‘zikr-e-ilahi’ and also offer two nafl in the night after the Isha prayer, “...and pray to Allah that He may grant you His nearness.” Huzoor(aba) went on to mention a hadith of the Holy Prophet(sa) in which he states that if a person comes to God walking, He [God] goes to him running.
Will Khilafat ever return to Pakistan or has Pakistan been deprived of this good fortune?
Huzoor(aba) said: “Insha-Allah, avenues shall open. The headquarters are there in Rabwah and Qadian is also a headquarter. There are prophecies for the return to Qadian and glad tidings of the return to Rabwah....I do not assert it will be permanent; it is linked to the Jama’at’s progress. Allah Almighty knows best how He shall grant progress to the Jama’at.”
Can a woman travel to perform Hajj or Umrah without a Mahram?
Huzoor(aba) clarified that in the past, with limited transportation options, the Holy Prophet(sa) stressed the importance of women traveling with a mahram. The Holy Prophet(sa) also foretold a future era of peace where traveling would be safe. In such a time, it would be possible for a woman to journey alone from Madinah to Hadramout [Hadhramaut is a region in South Arabia], her only fear being that of God.
Huzoor(aba) highlighted that this indicates solo travel for women is not inherently prohibited but considering the risks associated with travel, it is recommended for women to be accompanied by a mahram or travel in groups for their safety.
How one we develop humility and devotion when praying?
Huzoor(aba) explained: “When standing for prayer, diligently recite the words of the salat”. [...] “The Promised Messiah(as) has advised to wear a sorrowful expression, as the physical appearance of one’s face can impact their inner being.”
When will the situation in Palestine improve and when will peace be granted to its people?
Huzoor(aba) said: “Allah the Exalted has stated that when they become ‘righteous servants of God,’ Muslims will once again gain control over that land in peace. There is a prophecy about the Israelites that they will commit oppression and consequently, will be expelled from there.[...] “This is the warning of Allah Almighty.”
“Regarding this matter, I had mentioned and even sent a circular to the missionaries to read the tafsir of the last part of the first ruku’ of Surah Bani Isra’il from Tafsir-e-Kabir by Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud(ra). [Then] read the tafsir of verse number 106 of Surah al-Anbiya. In these, you will find a comprehensive explanation of the situation regarding Palestine and Israel and what is to happen to the Israelites.”
How can we achieve higher standards of taqwa (righteousness)?
Answering this question, Huzoor(aba) quoted a line from one of the poems of the Promised Messiah(as) which translates as:
“Friends! Piety is this that you give up arrogance. Give up the habit of pride, haughtiness and stinginess.” (Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya)
Huzoor(aba) further stated: “Taqwa is to fear Allah, not out of being scared of Him, but out of concern for His displeasure and the possibility of losing His love. When one has a love for Allah, they will naturally attain taqwa as well.”
Huzoor(aba) said that one should put aside pride, arrogance and being miserly and that miser-liness is not limited to money; it can also manifest in relationships or a reluctance to express goodness. When one avoids such behaviours, they attain taqwa.
How can one reconnect with individuals who become distant due to the wrong attitude of an office-bearer or misunderstanding?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of self-improvement for office-bearers and the need for them, along with the Sadr Jama’at and the Secretary Tarbiyat, to actively engage with members. Huzoor(aba) stressed that this engagement should aim at establishing a genuine personal connection, rather than just focusing on administrative tasks and said that through such bonds, office-bearers can effectively convey to members their commitment to Ahmadiyyat, aligning with the Holy Prophet’s(sa) guidance to follow the Imam Mahdi and pledge allegiance to the Promised Messiah(as) and his Khulafa.
Huzoor(aba) also cautioned office-bearers against adopting attitudes that might alienate members from the Jama’at, advising to first build a relationship before addressing sensitive issues to avoid resistance and ensure effective communication.
Huzoor(aba) was asked about the role of international organisations and what changes should be made to enable practical steps for the salvation of the oppressed?
Huzoor(aba) gave a very detailed answer citing the failure of preventing wars by the League of Nations after the First World War and later the United Nations. However, Huzoor(aba) reminded there is still no justice or equality.
Huzoor(aba) also stated: “The foremost remedy is the establishment of an Islamic government in the world, a government of Muslims, who act upon justice, which can be achieved through the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Our task is to propagate and spread the message as far as we can. I have repeatedly addressed this at numerous places, including Capitol Hill, stating that as long as nations persist in wielding veto power, peace cannot be established. I have stated there that the major powers, which claim to establish justice, are unable to do so. The discussions with them are smooth and they acknowledge the correctness of our stance, but ultimately, they will do what they intend to do. In Punjabi, there’s a saying, ‘The decision of the council is accepted, but the gutter will remain in its place.’ Their situation is similar.”
A reminder again that Huzoor(aba)’s answer was long and detailed. He later said: “Peace will only be established when Allah Almighty spreads Islam Ahmadiyyat throughout the world through the Promised Messiah(as) and the majority joins it. Therefore, we must continue our efforts, both through prayers and active endeavours. This is the only solution; there is no other.”
What should be the role of an Ahmadi in the upcoming general elections in Pakistan?
Huzoor(aba) stated that until a joint electorate system is established that includes Ahmadis, we should not participate in general elections. Huzoor(aba) highlighted the current situation where Ahmadis are being separated from Muslim voters, which he deemed unacceptable. Participating under these conditions, he explained, would be tantamount to acknowledging ourselves as non-Muslims or as a minority group, which is not agreeable.

PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor - 19 Jan 2024
On Sunday, 14 January 2024, 23 Khuddam from Connecticut, USA, had the blessed opportunity to meet Huzoor(aba) in physical mulaqat which took place in Islamabad.
During the first part of the meeting, Huzoor(aba) spoke with every attendee and enquired about their visit, well-being and education. After this, some questions were asked for which we summarise a few of them with a gist of the answers.
Huzoor(aba) was asked about the use of homeopathic remedies for individuals who have undergone organ transplants and are on extensive medication for immune suppression as doctors typically advise against homoeopathy in such cases.
Huzoor(aba) said: “We should not rely on and trust only one medicine. If you think that homeopathy can be useful for the treatment for an ailment, even as a supplement, then you can use it.”
Huzoor(aba) also said: “Once Hazrat Musleh Mau’od (ra) was taking some medicine. He took allopathic medicine first, then native Ayurvedic medicine. Then after that, he took homeopathic medicine. Somebody standing by asked him how he would know which medicine would work after having taken the different medicines. He replied: ‘I don’t trust any of those medicines. I trust in Allah the Almighty. I don’t know which of the medicine has been blessed by Allah the Almighty to work on my ailment. So, this is why I’m using all of them.’”
Huzoor(aba) was asked about the afterlife and would heaven it be everlasting?
Huzoor(aba) said: “The concept of time is beyond our comprehension in the Hereafter. So, even if there is a limit to time, in the eyes of Allah the Almighty, it is unlimited for us. We cannot say when it is going to end.”
Huzoor(aba) continued: “Allah the Almighty says my one day is equal to 50,000 years and in another place it says my one day is equal to 1,000 years and if you multiply them, it is billions of years – so in relative terms we do not know when that time is going to end.”
Why do Christians have a longing for the Roman Empire which persecuted them, but curse the Muslims who openly accepted them?
Huzoor(aba) in summary said the initial followers of Christianity were genuine in their faith, adhering to the belief in a singular God and that they did not view Jesus Christ(as) as the son of God. However, as Christianity expanded, it was embraced by a Roman king, leading to a transformation of its teachings. This adoption resulted in the blending of Christian principles with Roman traditions and myths. Consequently, contemporary Christianity represents a mix of Roman beliefs and traditional Christian doctrines. This explains why modern Christians do not oppose Roman ideologies
The Khadim who asked the above question also made a request, mentioning that they had submitted their rings and asked if Huzoor(aba) could bless them. Huzoor(aba) then, one by one, blessed the rings by touching them with the ring of the Promised Messiah(as) that he was wearing.
Huzoor(aba) was asked what they could all take away upon returning to America to strengthen their bond with Khilafat?
Huzoor(aba) said: “The main lesson is to try to be particular in offering five daily prayers on time; whatever the condition may be, never miss any prayer. That should be the main thing that you should emphasise and be particular about.”
A Khadim expressed his feelings about this mulaqat
The Khadim spoke passionately from the heart and said that when we see Huzoor(aba) on MTA, it is a spiritually uplifting experience but being in “Huzoor’s(aba) presence in the last few days is a spiritually rejuvenating experience that is beyond words to describe.”
Huzoor(aba) asked the group about their treatment by their hosts and if everything was fine.
The answer was a positive one. Huzoor(aba) also said that if they had any issues they should report it. Huzoor(aba) continued: “When our weaknesses and shortcomings are brought to attention, then we can only know then how to improve. If everyone were to give false praises, the you cannot improve yourself. That is why you should tolerate any negative comment as well.”
What advice can Huzoor (aba) give us for a successful relationship with our spouse and in-laws?
“Nobody is perfect.” was Huzoor’s(aba) first response. “Always show patience for your wives. Whenever you see anything wrong, any shortcoming, anything, then close your eyes, close your ears and close your mouth.” Adding a touch of humour, Huzoor(aba) said then: “Your life will be okay!” This comment gave rise to laughter from the group!
