PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor – 9 February 2024
Huzoor(aba) consistently mentions the importance of living in accordance with Islamic principles, advocating for a life of spiritual awareness, moral excellence and social responsibility. He also always places a strong emphasis on the importance of prayer, urging the youth of the Jama’at to cultivate a personal relationship with Allah and to rely on prayer five times a daily for guidance, strength and support.
Through his blessed leadership, Huzoor(aba) inspires all Ahmadis to be ambassadors of peace, to serve humanity without discrimination and to strive for excellence in their lives and careers.
How fortunate it is therefore, for members of the global Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at to also meet with Huzoor(aba) in these virtual and in-person sessions benefitting from his guidance and wisdom. This time it was the turn of the National Amila of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya UK who had an in-person meeting with Huzoor(aba) on Sunday 4th February at Islamabad, UK.
During the session, Huzoor(aba) engaged with every individual, asking about their Jama’at roles and their working lives, which revealed varied careers. Below, we share a selection of some summarised advice given by Huzoor(aba) on a range of issues. For a fuller perspective, viewers are encouraged to explore the YouTube link provided.
Emphasising the importance of accuracy and diligence of gathering and organising Tajneed information, Huzoor(aba) advised Usman Ahmad Sahib (Secretary Tajneed) as follows:
“Do not rely on data provided by AIMS. Your task is separate. Make an effort on your part. Why do you rely on data that is gathered for you and then think that is okay? Your task is to go door-to-door and gather your own data. Tell you respected Tajneed secretaries to personally gather their Tajneed information on a grass-root level. And then update your data accordingly.”
Advice given by Huzoor(aba) to Salman Ahmad Sahib (Tarbiyat Secretary) for children to pray from an early age.
“Instil the habit (amongst the Atfal) to offer their salat from their early childhood. [..] “...special programmes should be devised to achieve this purpose so that the children of that age do not go astray [...] then it remains with them when they grow older as well.”
In his discussion with the Tarbiyat Secretary, Huzoor(aba) extensively addressed the topic of the issue of failing morality in society. What follows is just a summary of that conversation.
With regards to Tarbiyat of children, Huzoor(aba) said: “... you should address the immoral practices of today’s day and age with children so that they are aware of what is bad and which things they ought to protect themselves from. They should know the answers to the kind of material they are taught at school. A few days ago, a child met me, and said the school was teaching us about sex and I do not know anything about this so what was the need for them to talk to me about this? Thus, children themselves have started raising questions against this. [...] How can a child who is four, five or six years old know about these things? These are the ploys of the Dajjal (Antichrist) and during such ploys, there is a heightened need for Tarbiyat.”
Huzoor(aba) continued by instructing the Tarbiyat Secretary: “Educate parents about how to deal with their children when such matters arise; [...] You will have to do these things openly now, otherwise if you remain timid, then other people will go on teaching children indecent things. This is why children must be informed that they are not of age.”
Huzoor(aba) also said: “...tell them [children] what Allah says is permissible and what is impermissible. [...] By teaching things in an impermissible manner, all they are doing is creating frustration and lust in the youth, nothing else. Then when boys reach the age of 15, they fail in terms of their religious training and then Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and the secretary or Mohtamim Tarbiyat also give up and the children start to slip away. Hence, from the very outset, you should train them in such a manner that they always remain within the bounds. [...] Otherwise, there is no point in calling ourselves Ahmadi Muslims, because then it would simply be hypocrisy and there is no benefit in that.”
Huzoor(aba) concluded this answer with this vital instruction: “So, you must lay great emphasis on Tarbiyat.”
Fateen Ahmad Yasir Sahib (Ta’lim Department) told Huzoor(aba) that their main focus this year was to help all Atfal to memorise the basic salat to which Huzoor(aba) replied:
“You should inculcate the spirit of Salat and why it is necessary. [...] Because Allah the Almighty said that if you draw near to Him, then He will draw nearer to you and grant you in abundance.”
Huzoor(aba) continued: “In today’s day and age, you will have to give them something. You will have to provide logical explanations to today’s children when they ask why they should offer prayers or what need does Allah have for their prayers?” [...] You should answer these questions – such questions and answers are important and it is also the responsibility of the Tarbiyat Departments to facilitate them.”
Huzoor(aba) said that people write to him and this is how he knows that these questions are raised from all over the world and therefore a response is needed. Huzoor(aba) said in the Holy Qur’an, it states that God does not need our prayers yet He commands us to pray. This Huzoor(aba) said needs to be explained to children nowadays in a very logical manner. “Therefore, devise such programmes which are comprehensive and cover all these aspects.” said Huzoor(aba)
With regards to Waqf-e-Jadid, Huzoor(aba) advised Amanullah Khan Sahib (Secretary Waqfe-e-Jadid) that:
“Instil the spirit of sacrifice in children. Explain to them why they should contribute financially and what the purpose of these contributions is. Unless you make it clear what the objective behind these contributions is, they will think that these people are just simply collecting money.”
Waleed Niazi Sahib (Khidmat-e-Khalq Department) talked about a funding initiative to raise funds for a village in The Gambia.
Huzoor(aba) enquired about its progress and emphasised the significance of instilling a spirit of service and compassion for the underprivileged in children. He proposed that minor acts of sacrifice, like foregoing a burger from which can make a meaningful impact on charitable giving. By drawing attention to the critical conditions faced by children in areas such as Palestine, Huzoor(aba) called for fostering a deep emotional bond with humanitarian activities in the minds of the young.
Mirza Hashim Ahmad Sahib, (Mohtamim Atfal) outlined his method for integrating children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) into community gatherings. When asked by Huzoor(aba) about his approach, Hashim Sahib detailed his strategy of collecting specific information from parents to provide customised assistance during these events.
Huzoor(aba) then provided Hashim Sahib with useful advice to improve inclusivity, recommending that MKA arrange special sports competitions for SEND children at their gatherings to ensure active participation. He stressed the need to acknowledge the varied abilities among these children and suggested organising them into categories according to their skill levels to enable fair and enjoyable contests. This strategy aims to guarantee that all children can join in and be celebrated.
Timur Pasha Sahib (mu‘awin to the Mohtamim Atfal) shared findings from a survey indicating Atfal’s desire for comprehensive responses to common allegations against Islam Ahmadiyyat.
In response, Huzoor(aba) recommended establishing a dedicated team to collect these accusations and develop well-reasoned replies and proposed leveraging the expertise of knowledgeable Jama’at members, including young people from different regions such as the UK and Canada, as well as missionaries, to create a detailed manual. Huzoor(aba) envisioned this project evolving beyond a simple pamphlet, becoming a substantial publication recognised for its comprehensive scope and depth.
Addressing Sadr Sahib, Huzoor(aba) said:
“For educating the Khuddam, extract and teach them the section from the book ‘Chashma-e-Ma‘rifat’ [The Fountain of Knowledge] which contains the speech of the Promised Messiah(as), that was delivered. It answers many questions too.”

PART TEXTUAL SUMMARY
This Week with Huzoor – 9 February 2024
INTRODUCTION
On Sunday 11th February, a gathering of new converts was honoured with a personal audience with Huzoor(aba) at Islamabad, UK. By embracing Islam Ahmadiyyat, 30 women and 48 men have, by the grace of Allah, embarked upon a sacred pilgrimage towards divine enlightenment – may Allah always be their guide. Huzoor(aba) listened to some of their stories of how they were drawn to the true path of Islam.
The Belgian delegation also shared their deep-felt appreciation in the presence of Huzoor(aba), a sentiment that will surely resonate with the hearts of Ahmadi Muslims worldwide.
Huzoor(aba) also responded to a variety of questions and AMA UK Gallery have summarised just just part of these enlightening exchanges below. One is encouraged to view the YouTube video or the Al-Hakam link for a more detailed report.
What is the Jama’ats stance on organ donations for transplants and experiments?
Huzoor(aba) affirmed: “Yes, of course we can. We can donate our organs for experiments as well as for organ transplants. […] “Any work, any task, any action that you take for the benefit of other people, you can do it. This is the teaching of Islam.”
How does Huzoor(aba) make time for his family despite such a busy schedule?
Huzoor(aba) simply replied: “During my lunch and dinner time, for a few minutes, when we sit together and talk.”
A convert who was once an atheist and then a protestant asked Huzoor(aba) what steps he could take to enable close ones and friends to understand his transition to Ahmadiyyat and how to preach to others?
Huzoor(aba) said: “Your personal experience is the best way to do preaching instead of involving yourself in so many arguments – the existence of God, the death of Jesus Christ(as), or the advent of the Promised Messiah(as), or the advent of the Holy Prophet(sa) and the prophecies in the Bible and the prophecies in the Holy Qur’an. First, you should show give your own example.”
Huzoor(aba) said: “If they see your own example and are satisfied with your actions and your deeds and they think that you are now a better person than before, then they will ask you, ‘What is the cause of this change?’ Then you can tell them, ‘This is the cause; this is the Islamic teaching.”
Huzoor(aba) concluded this answer by saying in order to do this, it is necessary to cultivate a personal relationship with Allah for effective religious Tabligh.
Huzoor(aba) was asked about his views on boycotting Israeli companies that support Israel.
“If you feel comfortable boycotting these companies, then you can do it. There is no harm in it. I have no objection to it."
“Huzoor(aba) went on to say: “But if you don’t purchase anything, what will happen? Until and unless governments take action and especially Islamic governments taking actions against the products of Israel, then they can actually affect the economy of, or to some extent the production and the profit of Israeli companies. Otherwise by taking a single-person action, it will not make any significant effect on their product or their business. But if you feel comfortable, you can do it, no problem.”
Huzoor’s(aba) answer to this was more extensive which is on the YouTube video and Al-Hakam link.
Huzoor(aba) was requested for prayers by Mr Abdullah Al-Yemini, a convert from Yemen about difficulties faced by Yemeni Ahmadis in the country including those imprisoned for their beliefs.
Huzoor(aba) conveyed his awareness of the plight faced by the Yemeni Ahmadis and urged the Jama’at to remember them in their prayers. Huzoor(aba) offered supplications for their freedom and emphasising the importance of prayer during their tribulation, Huzoor(aba) expressed a wish for Mr Abdullah Sahib to send his greetings of peace, ‘Assalamu alaikum,’ and spiritual support should he have the opportunity to communicate with them.
A very recent convert asked how he could become a better Muslim.
Huzoor(aba) said: “Some people asked the Holy Prophet(sa) if we can be excused from offering the five daily prayers regularly or can we offer some prayers and we leave some? Then the Holy Prophet(sa) said: ‘There is no religion without prayer, without worship.’ So the basic thing to be a good Muslim, is that your offer your five daily prayers.”
How can we build a strong relationship with God?
Huzoor(aba): “In Surah al-Fatihah, ‘Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil-alameen…’, there is one verse, ‘Ihdinas-sirat al-mustaqeem’, ‘O Allah, guide us on the right path’ [Ch.1:V6].. When you repeat this prayer and it is coming from your heart, then Allah Almighty will guide you and you will feel the presence of Allah Almighty. And when you are in the sajdah position, prostrating before Allah, bowing before Allah, then cry to Allah, ‘O Allah, show me Your presence.’ Then you will feel something and you will see the sign. That is what so many people have experienced.”
A lady convert asked a question regarding the role of Ahmadi women in public engagements beyond the internal circles of the Jama’at
Huzoor(aba) said that participation of Ahmadi women in public events is permissible when it contributes to the welfare of society and the spread of the genuine principles of Islam Ahmadiyyat. However, Huzoor(aba) highlighted that it is preferable for mature women to present and speak on Islamic teachings when given the opportunity. Nevertheless, Huzoor(aba) recommended careful consideration concerning events when both genders are present and advised that events exclusively for women are preferable and suggesting avoidance of mixed-gender functions whenever possible.
Huzoor(aba) further stated: “I prefer that you hold some functions and invite other people and even you encourage other Muslims or other people too to [attend] some seminars and you also speak in them.”
Children being asked about their gender identity.
Huzoor(aa) emphasised that the that training and Tarbiyat should begin at home and highlighted the importance of teaching children that Allah has created them as either male or female and that this identity should be respected. Huzoor(aba) remarked that societal influences, such as the undervaluing of girls in some cultures, can lead to confusion about gender importance and Huzoor(aba) underlined that Islamic teachings recognise the equality of both sexes, citing the Prophet Muhammad's(sa) promise of paradise for those who raise their daughters well.
Huzoor(aba) said that nowadays, parents are tasked with the significant challenge of establishing a home environment that values boys and girls equally to prevent any feelings that a change of gender could increase their worth. This includes educating children from a young age about the Islamic view on gender.
Huzoor(aa) also addressed the legal changes in the UK regarding the self-identification of gender among school children, noting the necessity of parental consent and the possible increase of the age limit to secondary school levels and he hopes that awareness will grow across Europe.
Furthermore, Huzoor(aa) explained that despite one's claims or desires to be the opposite gender, they cannot naturally acquire the reproductive organs of the other sex and stated that while appearances may be altered, such as through hormone treatments, the fundamental reproductive capabilities cannot be changed. He pointed out that despite medical advancements, no man has given birth; those in such situations often resort to adoption.
Huzoor(aa) concluded by saying that these issues are deceptions related to Dajjal’s attempts to disrupt the natural order created by Allah, against which Allah has warned humanity.
