  • How should we pray before making a decision? Should we wait for a sign from Allah? (Huzoor (aba) addresses the balance between human effort and reliance on Allah, a fundamental concept in Islamic life – ED).

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that seeking divine assistance is the pre-requisite for any potential spiritual indication and advised the daily practice of offering at least two Rak'ats of Nafl prayer for important matters.

Huzoor (aba) clarified that a clear sign is not always guaranteed, even for the most pious. The true spiritual sign, Huzoor (aba) explained, is an inner contentment and satisfaction within the heart after performing the prayer. This inner peace is itself an indication of Divine Will.

Huzoor (aba) counselled that one should then sincerely pray for God to facilitate the task if it provides goodness in one’s view, or to remove the very desire for it if it does not. Ultimately, this heartfelt satisfaction is the spiritual confirmation that the action is aligned with Allah's pleasure.

  • My mother recently passed away. How can I stay positive during this trial? (Huzoor’s (aba) answer clearly reveals Islam’s emphasis on prayer, remembrance and patience (ṣabr) as sources of comfort and a means of maintaining a living spiritual bond with loved ones who have passed away. – ED)

Huzoor (aba) counselled that the spiritual path to maintaining positivity is to turn to Allah in sincere prayer. He advised to pray for divine solace and for the heart to be filled with a profound sense of contentment. In addition, Huzoor (aba) stressed the importance of consistently praying for the elevation of one's mother's spiritual station in Paradise.

Huzoor (aba) explained that this act of pious remembrance fosters a continuing bond of love, allowing one to feel that the spiritual connection with the deceased remains alive and active. Huzoor (aba) also advised engaging in Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) and to continually seek Allah's help, affirming that He alone is the ultimate source of comfort for a grieving heart.

Additionally, Huzoor (aba) reflected that the natural and cherished memories of a mother's love and kindness should serve as a spiritual catalyst. This remembrance should inspire one to strive with renewed dedication to fulfil the righteous aspirations she held for her child, transforming grief into a source of virtuous motivation.

  • Can we make films about the Promised Messiah (as) and his successors for the purpose of spreading the message of Ahmadiyyat Islam?
Huzoor (aba) counselled that the primary consideration in such endeavours should be one of spiritual and financial prudence, questioning the necessity of significant expenditure.

Huzoor (aba) guided that the Jama’at’s approach should be one of thoughtful and resourceful service, rather than lavish projects and highlighted that Allah has endowed many Ahmadis with modern skills, such as advanced degrees in media and filmmaking, as gifts for this very age.

Huzoor (aba) spiritually charged these individuals to seek divinely inspired, innovative methods. Their mission should be to craft ways of presenting the message that are pure in content and spiritually clear, while also being attuned to the contemporary mindset, thereby fulfilling the higher purpose of effective and righteous propagation.

  • The gap between the right and left wings in the USA is growing. How can we alleviate this? (Huzoor’s (aba) reply stresses the role of Ahmadis in promoting peace, integration and Islamic teachings amidst global political divides – ED).

Huzoor (aba) observed that the growing political divide is not unique to America but is a global phenomenon, often manifesting as opposition to immigrants and particularly, Muslims. He stated that it is the duty of Ahmadis to proactively launch a movement to counter this trend by raising public awareness about the actual, peaceful teachings of Islam. Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of highlighting the positive contributions Ahmadi Muslims can make to their nations and their dedication to national improvement.

Huzoor (aba) also recalled that 17-18 years ago, he set a goal for the Jama’at to educate 5% of their respective national populations about Islam, a target which has not been met due to a lack of serious effort. He urged for new, large-scale methods of outreach, specifically recommending that Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and other auxiliaries hold seminars in universities and among academics.

Huzoor (aba) concluded by stressing that progress requires a vast and comprehensive plan, sustained striving over many years and a coordinated effort from all branches of the Jama'at, as meaningful change cannot be achieved by remaining idle.

  • Those who use the internet to take the youth away from God, are they part of the Dajjali powers?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the misleading forces working through the internet today are indeed part of the Dajjali system – the system of deception. The word Dajjal itself means “deceiver,” and these forces are spreading false ideas to turn people, especially the youth, away from faith. Atheists and others unite in this effort, often attacking Islam indirectly, though their true goal is to pull people away from belief in God altogether.

Huzoor (aba) said that Muslims’ own weaknesses have made it easier for such forces to succeed, so the first step is for Muslims to reform themselves and live by the actual teachings of Islam. The Dajjal was destined to be active in this age – the era of the Promised Messiah (as), but believers must respond with even greater effort.

Just as these deceptive powers use the internet to spread falsehood, Huzoor (aba) said Muslims should use the same tools to spread truth. It’s not enough to post answers only on their own websites; they should also respond directly on the platforms where Islam is attacked, while simultaneously sharing detailed explanations on their own channels. In this way, both efforts should go hand in hand, defending the truth and presenting the beauty of Islam to the world.

  • The cost of living in the West is increasing, which can sometimes impact one's spiritual well-being. How can we alleviate this? (Huzoor’s (aba) beautiful and enlightening reply emphasises the importance of contentment, gratitude and striking a balance between material life and spirituality – ED).

Huzoor (aba) explained that the rise in the cost of living is not limited to the West and that it is a global issue. Yet, those living in developed countries are still far more fortunate, as they generally have enough to eat and live comfortably. In many poorer nations, people struggle even to have two meals a day. The real issue, Huzoor (aba) said, is not the cost of living but the change in human desires.

In the past, people were content with little. Now, expectations have multiplied with people wanting the latest car, gadgets and luxuries. This constant pursuit of more has replaced gratitude with dissatisfaction. True peace comes from contentment and accepting that what Allah has provided is sufficient. When a person develops gratitude, they see how blessed they truly are compared to those suffering from hunger, oppression, or war.

Huzoor (aba) said: “If a person develops contentment, then everything becomes balanced. If you think, what Allah has given me is enough, then you will realise there are so many countries, so many people in the world who don’t even have food, who are dying of hunger, facing drought, famine, some governments are killing their people, just like in Israel where they are depriving the people and the Palestinians do not receive food, yet we sit comfortably in our homes and eat. Be grateful for this blessing, and Allah will increase His blessings. Allah says in the Qur’an: If you are grateful, ‘I will surely increase My favours upon you.’”

Huzoor (aba) continued: “The fundamental point is contentment. When there is contentment, desires do not remain so high. When that is the case, then everything finds balance. At the same time, always remember that you must still give something in the way of Allah.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of giving because wealth gains true blessing only when shared for the sake of Allah. When a person is content, grateful and generous, even a small income becomes full of blessings. The secret, Huzoor (aba) said, lies not in how much we earn, but in how much barakah (divine blessing) Allah places in it.

  • How can we spread the message of Islam in our schools without any reservations?
(In his reply, Huzoor (aba) emphasises the importance of courage, moral example and clear communication in presenting Islam’s actual teachings, thereby dispelling misconceptions and fostering mutual respect – ED)

Huzoor (aba) explained that to spread the message of Islam in schools, one must first develop courage. There is no need for embarrassment – if people already know that you are a Muslim, then stand by your faith with confidence. The best way to convey Islam’s message is through one’s own example and this is by showing good character, honesty, kindness and service to others and making it clear that these qualities come from Islamic teachings.

Furthermore, Huzoor (aba) counselled to address misconceptions with honesty and courage by openly acknowledging that the wrongful actions of some Muslims are contrary to the true faith, just as crime exists in every community without defining their entire religion. By speaking without fear, clearly distinguishing between the teachings of Islam and the misdeeds of individuals, one can effectively remove doubts and present the truth of Islam with confidence.

Huzoor (aba) said that when Muslims make mistakes or commit wrong acts, it should be openly acknowledged that such behaviour is contrary to Islam. This honesty helps people see the difference between Islam’s pure teachings and the weaknesses of individuals.

Huzoor (aba) gave his own example, saying that in his sermons he clearly points out the shortcomings among Muslims and then explains the true teachings of Islam and this openness helps remove misconceptions and fears people have about the faith.

Huzoor (aba) reminded that wrongdoing exists in every community, including among atheists, Jews, Christians, Hindus, but those actions do not define the religion itself. Therefore, Muslims should speak about Islam fearlessly and truthfully, showing that Islam promotes goodness and condemns wrongdoing. Through courage, clarity and good example, others will come to see the beauty and truth of Islam.

  • How can Lajna best fulfil its responsibilities this year?
Huzoor (aba) explained that Lajna members should fulfil their responsibilities in light of the Laye Amal (Plan of Action) and the Lajna Constitution, which clearly outline their duties. The foremost responsibility is self-reformation, aimed at strengthening one’s personal bond with Allah. This requires improving the standard of one’s namaz, increasing knowledge and striving to act upon the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Jama’at literature. Huzoor (aba) said with regards to the Holy Qur’an: “You should not simply read it; rather, you should act upon it as well.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that members should guide others with love, compassion and patience. If someone is weak in observing purdah, she should be reminded gently of its significance. Likewise, if someone’s connection with the Nizaam-e-Jama’at has weakened, she should be lovingly encouraged to strengthen it.

All work, Huzoor (aba) said, must be carried out with kindness, humility and sincerity, not harshness. Every office bearer from the Sadr to all members of the Amila should remain active and dedicated. Merely holding a title is not enough and it should be regarded as a divine trust and a blessing. Huzoor (aba) concluded: “Do not rejoice upon simply being entrusted with an office position; rather, consider it to be the grace of God and serve more than others to express your gratitude for this.”

  • How can Lajna members protect themselves from the harmful use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Huzoor (aba) explained that while Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used for good, much of its use today is harmful and misguided. Therefore, Lajna members must be educated about both the benefits and dangers of AI. He advised that awareness should begin at a young age, with Nasirat (girls aged 11–15) taught to use AI responsibly and cautiously.

Huzoor (aba) said that Lajna should collect and share information from experts, including statements from professionals, researchers, and government officials worldwide, to highlight the potential risks of AI. This research should be shared especially with educated women to help them understand the seriousness of the issue.

Huzoor (aba) then further emphasised that Lajna presidents should ensure all Lajna and Nasirat members regularly receive short, meaningful messages that can be four or five lines long, which contain guidance from the Qur’an, Hadith, the Promised Messiah (as) and Khulafa, explaining how to protect oneself from the misuse of AI and harmful social media practices.

Huzoor (aba) stressed again that he has been warning about these matters for some time, urging members to seek help from technical experts and to hold educational sessions every month or two to discuss new AI developments, their advantages and their risks. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that actual progress lies in using technology responsibly and with awareness, always remaining guided by Islamic principles.

  • What should we say to husbands who say it is not our role to remind them of their prayers?
Huzoor (aba) clarified that it is absolutely a woman's role to morally train her husband and remind him of his prayers. He has stated this in recent addresses in Germany and the UK to men as well as to women.

If husbands say: “This is not your responsibility,” Huzoor (aba) advised that wives should respond by reminding them: “...that this is what the Khalifa of the time has explained to you.”

Huzoor (aba) affirmed that it is a wife's duty to remind her husband with love and wisdom and that she should continue to present such references whenever necessary. He added: “Ask them [husbands] where it is written that a woman cannot speak about righteousness or goodness? … The Holy Prophet (sa) has said to learn religion from Hazrat Aisha (ra).”

In addition, Huzoor (aba) reminded that religious reminder is a two-way duty between spouses and whoever does it earns spiritual reward. He gave the example from Hadith: “If a husband and wife are asleep and it is time for Fajr prayer, then wake each other up, even if it requires sprinkling water on the face.”

Huzoor (aba) continued: “How can men say that it is not your responsibility to remind them. You can tell them that they have not studied religion enough!” Huzoor (aba) concluded: “Men simply make excuses to hide their own laziness.”

  • One of the Lajna members also asked about children spending too much time on mobile phones at home. How should parents advise them?
The answer is that Islam teaches proper etiquette for gatherings. When you are in a gathering, you should not whisper or speak privately to someone beside you, as it disrupts decorum and makes others suspicious.

Likewise, when at home together, put away mobile phones, switch them off and focus on family conversation, talking about things that interest your children, not gossip or backbiting. Don’t discuss how one Lajna member was gossiping, lying, or criticising others.

If a child is 14 or 15, they will wonder: “Why should I care about who gossips or lies? Instead, speak about topics that engage them, like current affairs, studies or moral lessons that relate to their lives.”

Huzoor (aba) continued by saying that when conversations are meaningful and relevant to children, they will naturally take an interest in family discussions. Still, if adults only talk about what interests them, children will lose interest and turn back to their phones.

  • If someone has been living apart from her husband for a long while, without deciding on her next steps, what should she do?
Huzoor (aba) advised that the woman should decide without further delay, stating that living in such an uncertain state for a long time is wrong. He used the analogy of leaving a cloth hung on a peg indefinitely, a situation disliked by Allah.

Huzoor (aba) stated that she shouldn't remain in an unresolved situation solely out of worry for the children, as this can have a more negative impact on them than making a clear decision. However, Huzoor (aba) clarified that if the separation is based upon a “mutual understanding, then it is a different matter.”

Huzoor (aba) also said that if the husband is at fault, being neglectful, wrongful, or failing in his responsibilities and the wife stays only due to fear of society or public opinion, then she should pray sincerely and make a firm decision. In such a case, if the fault lies with the husband, she should seek a Khula. Huzoor (aba) assured that when a woman seeks Khula with sincerity and the Qadha board decides in her favour, all her rights are granted to her.

Concluding Huzoor (aba) said: “...it is better that she prays and then makes a decision, rather than remaining in fear of society.”

  • Some Lajna members say it is not our job to remind them regarding Purdah. How should we respond?
Huzoor (aba) advised that if any Lajna member says it is not others’ job to remind her about purdah, the response should be polite and respectful. One should say: “Yes, it is your personal matter. We are not imposing anything on you. But what we are telling you is what the Qur’an teaches.”

Huzoor (aba) explained that the Qur’an clearly commands women to observe Purdah, maintain modesty even before certain relatives, dress appropriately and uphold a proper standard of modest attire, whether through a dupatta, burqa, niqab, or hijab.

Huzoor (aba) further said that Sadr Sahiba and Amila members should study Jama’at literature on purdah and understand its explanations, as he himself has spoken on this on various occasions. Huzoor (aba) said:  “If this is truly a personal matter, then even the Khalifa of the time should not be allowed to say anything to you. He will not say anything to you that contradicts Islamic Shariah. All Khulafa have drawn attention to this and above all, the Holy Qur’an has emphasised it. The Holy Prophet (as) also emphasised it and who could be a greater guide than him?”

Huzoor (aba) continued by saying that as long as one calls oneself an Ahmadi, it is the duty of others to remind and as long as one calls oneself a Muslim, it is one’s duty to obey the Qur’an.

Huzoor (aba) instructed that reminders should always be given gently and with love, using Qur’anic verses and quotations to explain that the Qur’an explicitly instructs women to cover their heads and draw their coverings modestly over their chests and faces.

Lajna Imaillah - Ireland
  • How can we balance serving our faith and the moral training of our children?
Huzoor (aba) said: “Listen to the things that I say in my speeches delivered to Lajna,” and also made reference to the programme ‘This Week with Huzoor’, where this has been covered many times. Huzoor (aba) advised that, to balance serving faith and morally training children, parents should first increase their own religious knowledge while their children are at school. When children return home, parents should teach them Islamic values and engage in meaningful conversations about their day, discussing what they learned and observed.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that parents should address both positive and negative experiences, linking them to Islamic teachings, so children understand how to act as true Muslims. Through regular interaction, guidance, and attention, parents can nurture their children's spiritual and moral development while fulfilling their own religious responsibilities.

  • How can we make our events more interesting for Ahmadi women and girls?
Huzoor (aba) explained that to make events more engaging for Ahmadi women and girls, the focus should be on imparting religious knowledge rather than just competitions. Ta’lim Secretaries should engage members individually, creating programmes that are meaningful and spiritually enriching.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that mothers should first be morally and religiously trained through the Holy Qur’an, Jama’at literature and prescribed books so they can guide their children effectively. Huzoor (aba) said that from their chosen book for this year, The Blessings of Prayers, small extracts can be shared and explained to ensure understanding, which they can share with their children. He said: “... this is meant to be a consolidated effort where mothers, the auxiliary organisation and the Jama’at play their respective roles and work together.”

Competitions at Ijtemas are supplementary, meant to encourage learning rather than winning and judges should be neutral and from different regions. Huzoor (aba) said:  “... that the purpose is not to obtain a prize, but to attain religious knowledge.”  Huzoor (aba) also advised consulting young Lajna and Nasirat members for suggestions on improving Ta’lim activities and implementing their ideas. This collaborative approach ensures events are both interesting and spiritually beneficial.

  • Is a purely legal marriage sufficient for an Ahmadi Muslim?
Huzoor (aba) explained that while a legal or court marriage may be recognised by law and society as a valid union, for an Ahmadi Muslim, it is not sufficient on its own. He said:  “...the Islamic practice of the Nikah is essential and must take place”, This is because it formally establishes the marriage according to Islamic teachings and safeguards the rights and responsibilities of both husband and wife, including the setting of Haq Mehr.

Huzoor (aba) made it clear that the Jama’at will not register any marriage unless the Nikah has been performed, even though legally, such a couple will be recognised as husband and wife. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that those who choose to only have a court marriage without the Nikah and without registering their marriage through the Jama’at cannot truly call themselves Ahmadis, as they are disregarding an essential Islamic injunction.

Huzoor (aba) further instructed that if any Ahmadi refuses to have their Nikah registered with the Jama’at, the matter should be reported so that the Jama’at may cancel their AIMS card. Huzoor (aba) stressed that while legal recognition has its place, true marital sanctity and compliance with faith come only through the Islamic institution of Nikah.

  • What responsibility do we bear for a lack of integration in society?
Huzoor (aba) explained that Ahmadis bear responsibility for a lack of integration if they isolate themselves or fail to engage with their communities. He emphasised that proper integration involves building relationships with neighbours, holding seminars, religious gatherings and peace seminars and introducing people to the Jama’at, rather than adopting local social habits that compromise Islamic values. “This is how Tabligh will happen,” said Huzoor (aba).

Huzoor (aba) stressed that serving the country through professions, public service, or other contributions demonstrates loyalty and this is a more meaningful measure of integration than clothing or socialising styles. Huzoor (aba) encouraged educating members about their duty to serve society and removing any sense of inferiority, while citing his previous addresses on the topic for guidance.

Integration, Huzoor (aba) said, combines spiritual commitment, community engagement and national service, reflecting both loyalty to Allah and to one’s country.

  • Sometimes, officer think their opinion is always correct. What is Huzoor's (aba) advice in this regard?
Huzoor (aba) explained that office bearers are representatives only within their assigned sphere of responsibility, not experts in every matter. Their role, he said, is to convey guidance, implement the instructions of the Khalifa of the time and act upon them personally but not to assume authority or act as if they are “deputy Khulafa.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that accurate representation requires humility, fear of Allah and sincerity of purpose. If office bearers truly understood their responsibilities, they would focus on worship, truthfulness, compassion and fairness and would allow others to express their opinions. Huzoor (aba) said: “When Allah the Almighty has given this command to the Holy Prophet (sa), then who are we – I, you or anyone else, to behave otherwise?”

Referring to the Holy Qur’an, Huzoor (aba) reminded that Allah commanded the Holy Prophet (sa) to consult with others and treat them with kindness and gentleness, warning that harshness drives people away. Therefore, he said, no one has the right to behave arrogantly or dismissively and any office bearer who does so is acting wrongly.

Huzoor (aba) added that he frequently reminds office bearers of these principles in his sermons, urging them to eliminate arrogance and pride and to serve with humility, consultation and love, for this is the true spirit of leadership in Islam.

  • What is Huzoor’s (aba) advice for capable Lajna members who hesitate to serve, thinking they are incapable?
Huzoor (aba) explained that it is a positive quality when someone feels they may not be capable of serving; as such, humility reflects sincerity and humility, which are greatly valued in Islam. He said that one should never seek a position or desire a role for themselves, since the Holy Prophet (sa) forbade asking for responsibilities or claiming suitability for a post.

However, Huzoor (aba) emphasised that when the Jama’at entrusts someone with a duty, they should accept it wholeheartedly and strive to fulfil it to the best of their ability. He advised that Sadrs and Tarbiyat Secretaries should gently encourage such members, explaining that serving the faith is an honour and a blessing from Allah.

Once they understand that service to the Jama’at is a Divine favour, Huzoor (aba) said, they will naturally feel motivated and willing to serve with dedication.

Nasirat and Waqf-e-Nau from Ireland.
  • A young Nasirat asked Huzoor (aba) at what age he started getting pocket money from his parents?
Huzoor (aba) shared that he did not receive regular pocket money growing up; his parents would occasionally give him money, such as on Eid, which he kept with his mother and used gradually. His mother encouraged him to offer Chanda from his savings, teaching him the value of financial sacrifice. When his money ran out, he would politely ask for more and accept it quietly if she could not give any, noting that life was simpler then and that children sought fewer luxuries.

  • Did Huzoor (aba) write a letter to Benjamin Netanyahu or any world leaders regarding the conflict in Palestine?
Huzoor (aba) replied: “I wrote letters to everyone, including him. They are published in the book, The Pathway to Peace. I have written to everyone and I only received a reply from the UK Prime Minister [at the time], David Cameron and one other person. There was also the President of the USA, Obama, who was about to respond, but his team advised him not to.”

  • How can I avoid technologies that affect my studies?
Huzoor (aba) advised limiting screen time to one hour a day, whether for TV or the internet and to use that time only for beneficial programmes. He warned that excessive technology use harms focus and intellect, noting that even some countries are restricting phone use for children.

Huzoor (aba) said that if one encounters inappropriate content, they should recite Istighfar, and emphasised that, with strong willpower and determination, it is possible to remain disciplined and avoid harmful distractions.

  • Why do Muslims shave their heads for Hajj?
Huzoor (aba) explained that after performing Hajj or Umrah, it is prescribed to shave the head as a sign of humility and complete submission to Allah. However, the Holy Qur’an allows exceptions: If a person has a head ailment, they may simply trim a portion of their hair instead.

Huzoor (aba) said that both shaving and trimming are permissible depending on one’s circumstances, but shaving the head is preferred, as it symbolises a believer’s total devotion and surrender before Allah.

  • What is the best way of developing the habit of offering Tahajjud at a young age?
Huzoor (aba) advised that the key to developing the habit of offering Tahajjud from a young age is strong determination and proper routine. One should set a fixed time to wake up and make a firm resolve to rise for prayer.

Huzoor (aba) said that, as mentioned in Hadith, one should go to bed early to make it easier to wake up for Tahajjud. Quoting the proverb: “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise,” Huzoor (aba) added that true wisdom and success also come through regular Tahajjud and spiritual discipline.

  • How can I improve my Urdu comprehension of Huzoor's (aba) Friday Sermons?
Huzoor (aba) replied: “There is a children’s programme on MTA in which they present a summary and gist along with the important points of the sermon in a manner that is easy to understand for children.”

  • How can I recognise when Allah is pleased with me?
Huzoor (aba) explained that a person can recognise Allah’s pleasure through self-reflection on their actions. If one strives to do good deeds and speak the truth, Allah is pleased with them; but if they engage in wrongdoing or lies, He is not. Huzoor (aba) said that one should focus on judging one's own actions, rather than judging others, as self-accountability is the accurate measure of Allah’s pleasure.

  • How can I overcome the pressure to succeed in academic study?
Huzoor (aba) advised that to overcome pressure from academic studies, one should combine effort with trust in Allah. He recommended maintaining a steady study routine, revising lessons daily and completing homework to build a strong foundation, which reduces anxiety.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that during stressful times, one should offer voluntary prayers, supplicate in prostration, recite Durood Shareef and give sadaqa and assist the poor, as these actions bring peace and satisfaction to the heart.

Huzoor (aba) stressed that while working hard, students should avoid excessive worry over results and instead place complete trust in Allah, knowing they have done their best. This balance of sincere effort, prayer and charity ensures success without mental strain.

  • If there is a God, why does He permit injustice in the World?
Huzoor (aba) explained that Allah does not permit injustice; instead, He commands absolute justice and warns that those who act unjustly will be punished. He emphasised that Islam requires speaking the truth and upholding justice, even if it means opposing parents, siblings, or influential people, so that fairness prevails.

Huzoor (aba) noted that worldly systems often fail to act justly, citing examples like international politics, where powerful nations can veto decisions for their own interests. In contrast, Islam guarantees justice in all circumstances. Huzoor (aba) encouraged studying the Holy Qur’an and, in his speeches on justice, learning how to establish peace, and sharing these teachings to show that Allah commands absolute fairness and accountability.

  • Does Allah burden certain souls because he loves them more or because their strength is greater?
Huzoor (aba) explained that Allah may place great trials upon certain souls, such as Prophets and pious individuals, not as a punishment but because He grants them the strength to endure them. He cited the example of the Holy Prophet (sa), who faced illnesses, the loss of children, and injuries in battle, yet remained patient, steadfast and committed to his duties.

Huzoor (aba) said that Allah bestows this strength so that the world sees that those beloved to Allah also face hardships, demonstrating that their devotion is sincere and that trials are a means of spiritual elevation. Thus, challenges are accompanied by divine support, enabling believers to bear them with patience and resilience.

3 QUESTIONS
•  What criteria should we use for defining active members?
•  How can we encourage Lajna youth who do not attend monthly meetings or Ta’lim classes?
•  How can we make Ijtema’s more spiritually focused rather than competitive?

SUMMARIES
  • What criteria should we use for defining active members?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the goal should not be to exclude inactive members but to help them become active. He said that even if some Lajna members do not attend meetings but still offer prayers, attend Jumu‘ah and Eid and identify as Ahmadis, they remain part of the Jama’at. Huzoor (aba) said: “It is the duty of the Tarbiyat department to make such members active and to overcome this challenge,” by maintaining contact with them and working patiently to strengthen their moral and spiritual connection. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the purpose of the Tarbiyat department is precisely to transform inactive members into active ones.

  • How can Lajna youth who do not attend monthly meetings or Ta'lim classes be encouraged?
Huzoor (aba) explained that to attract Lajna youth who do not attend meetings or Ta’lim classes, organisers should adopt new and engaging approaches rather than continue with traditional programs. He advised inviting such members to informal gatherings with refreshments and openly discussing how meetings could be improved to suit their interests. By listening to their suggestions and involving them in implementing those ideas, at least half of them would likely start attending regularly.

Huzoor (aba) said: "Don’t simply hold traditional meetings where a Hadith is presented just for the sake of presenting something, a verse of the Holy Qur’an presented with its translation, an extract of the Promised Messiah (as) is presented and advice is presented on what to do and what not do by a person who doesn’t act upon those things herself."

Huzoor (aba) added that meetings should be varied and meaningful, not repetitive and should include practical and relevant topics such as health, psychology, or other areas of interest. He emphasised that this approach, by combining personal engagement, sincere dialogue and fresh content, would make programs more appealing and spiritually beneficial.

  • How can we make Ijtema’s more spiritually focused rather than competitive?
Huzoor (aba) explained that making Ijtemas more spiritually focused is a continuous effort that must be maintained with patience and perseverance. Huzoor (aba) said that even when people do not immediately act upon guidance, one must not lose heart or give up. As the Holy Qur’an teaches, believers should continue to remind and advise others.

Huzoor (aba) said: “Do you think that everyone throughout the world 100% acts upon all the things that I say in my sermons and addresses?” Huzoor (aba) shared an example from Canada. After his address on modesty and faith, some women removed their head coverings despite hearing his message, illustrating that change does not happen instantly. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the task is to keep guiding, encouraging and striving without becoming disheartened.

Ultimately, Huzoor (aba) said, each person is responsible for accepting or rejecting the message, but those who continue to serve with sincerity will earn Allah’s pleasure and reward.

SUMMARIES
  • Lajna students hesitate to join AMWSA. How can we encourage these sisters to join?
Huzoor (aba) explained that if Ahmadi women students hesitate to join AMWSA, it indicates that the programmes are not engaging enough. He advised first asking the students themselves through questionnaires or discussions and asking what topics and activities would attract their interest and to explain clearly the purpose of AMWSA. Their suggestions should then be reviewed collectively to decide which are practical and how they can be refined or implemented.

Huzoor (aba) said that before focusing on teaching religious matters, organisers should first understand the students’ varying levels of religious inclination and knowledge and then form discussion groups accordingly. Huzoor (aba) said: “Nowadays, at many seminars, functions and meetings held around the world, side meetings are held where participants are divided into groups and each group discusses a different topic. You should also form different groups for discussion." Gradually, Huzoor (aba) said this will build closeness and interest. Once the students feel included, they can suggest seminar topics that will appeal to others as well.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that many young people feel complex about religion, thinking it makes them appear less modern or academic. This complex must be removed by showing confidence in Islamic teachings and explaining them with understanding and wisdom. There is nothing to be ashamed of in the Qur’an, Hadith, or the teachings of the Promised Messiah (as). Once this inferiority complex is overcome and programmes are tailored to students’ interests, more members will naturally be drawn to join and participate. “This is the kind of planning you should aim for.”

  • How should one envision praying directly to Allah?
Huzoor (aba) explained that although Allah cannot be seen with the physical eye, just as we cannot see air or oxygen yet know they exist, His presence can be felt through faith, obedience and sincere effort. Allah has said that humans cannot reach Him, but He reaches those who sincerely seek Him by following His commandments, worshipping Him, and fulfilling His rights.

Huzoor (aba) said that true prayer requires spiritual struggle (jihad). Many people neglect prayers due to excuses such as lack of time or embarrassment, but one cannot hope to truly connect with Allah in such a state. Faith begins with belief in the unseen and reflection on the vastness and order of the universe, which reveals Allah’s power and wisdom.

Huzoor (aba) reminded that recognising our own insignificance within creation should deepen our humility and gratitude. Allah should not be remembered only in times of need like before exams, but consistently through regular prayer and reflection. Just as a student must study diligently to succeed, one must also strive earnestly in faith. When a person prays with full sincerity, cries before Allah and places complete trust in Him, Allah responds, sometimes in miraculous ways. Huzoor (aba) concluded: ”If you keep these things in mind, then Allah the Almighty tells you that He is there. And when a person prays in this way, then it is enjoyable to pray.”

  • How can we strengthen our belief in Khilafat, because at a young age, it’s not always explained?
Huzoor (aba) said: “If you are only told that Khilafat is important and you are not told why, then that is wrong on the parents' part.”  Every organisation or group requires leadership to function effectively, just as in universities, group projects need a leader to guide discussion and present the final outcome. Likewise, Allah established the institution of Khilafat to ensure the continuation of a prophet’s mission after his passing. Without such leadership, people form their own interpretations, which is why there are now many sects within Islam, each following different schools of thought.

Huzoor (aba) said that the Holy Prophet (sa) foretold the coming of the Promised Messiah (as) in the 14th century, after whom Khilafat would be re-established to continue his divinely guided mission. This system, carried through the Khulafa, ensures that the message of Islam remains unified and consistent. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is unique in that it operates as a single global body under a single Khalifa, spanning more than 200 countries.

Huzoor (aba) explained that Khilafat provides moral and spiritual guidance in light of contemporary issues. For instance, when he addresses problems through sermons or Q&A sessions, such as family matters, people around the world benefit simultaneously, finding their issues resolved through the same divine guidance. This demonstrates the unity and harmony that Khilafat fosters.

Huzoor (aba) added that this unity is what distinguishes the Ahmadiyya Community from the rest of the Muslim world. Despite their large numbers, wealth and resources, the Muslim nations remain divided and powerless because they lack a single guiding authority. If they were united under one spiritual leadership, such as through Khilafat, they would stand strong and act with purpose. Huzoor (aba) gave the example of the Israel-Palestine situation where he said Muslim countries may have material wealth but they have no guide and “...Everyone had their own vested interests and did nothing for Palestine.  If they had been under one banner, then these things would not have happened.”

The true purpose of Khilafat is to keep the Jama’at united, guided and steadfast on the path of success.

  • During the rishta process, should girls send photos without a hijab to the boy’s side?
Huzoor (aba) explained that in the marriage process, the focus should not be on physical appearance but on faith, character and moral qualities. He said that while it is permissible for a boy to see a girl’s face once before marriage, following the example from the time of the Holy Prophet (sa), this should be done respectfully and in person.

Huzoor (aba) noted that many people today base decisions on superficial factors, leading to later dissatisfaction and failed marriages. He said: “It is the responsibility of the Tarbiyat department ...to provide counselling to boys and girls to help them explore the proposal and to properly teach them about the Nizam and if they have taken a liking to someone, then they should visit the other sides home..”_where the prospective bride and groom can observe each other’s manners and character within a family setting.

Huzoor (aba) further said that the Rishta Nata Committee is there to guide and educate both parties in accordance with Islamic teachings. Ultimately, both the boy and the girl should seek Allah’s guidance through prayer before making any decision. Huzoor (aba) concluded that successful marriages are those founded on faith and righteousness, rather than on material or worldly considerations.

  • Some members make disparaging comments regarding girls. What should one do about this?
Huzoor (aba) explained that those who make disparaging comments about girls are indecent, as such behaviour goes against the teachings of the Holy Qur’an. Before instructing women to observe purdah, Allah first commands men to lower their gaze, meaning they should not look at women with lust, disrespect, or mockery. No girl should ever be belittled or undermined in any situation.

Huzoor (aba)  said that if a woman’s purdah and hijab are proper, she need not feel anxious or insecure about such people. The purpose of purdah is to preserve a woman’s dignity and protect her from ridicule, just as Allah instructed Muslim women to draw their cloaks around themselves for modesty and distinction.

Huzoor (aba) added that in modern circumstances, a modest overcoat and headscarf (hijab) suffice to fulfil this commandment and women should not develop any inferiority complex about it. The sin lies with those who look with wrong intentions and they will be accountable before Allah.

Finally, Huzoor (aba) advised that moral reform must begin with men. He encouraged Lajna members to work on reforming men in their own households, saying that if every woman helps improve the moral conduct of the men in her family, the entire society will be reformed.

  • What is Huzoor’s (aba) guidance on attending music concerts?
Huzoor (aba) advised that attending music concerts is a futile and harmful activity and questioned whether students truly have so much free time to engage in such things. He said that concerts involve nothing but “loud noise and clamour.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that students should spend their time on constructive and beneficial pursuits, such as focusing on their studies and assignments and developing creative or analytical skills, particularly those studying subjects like finance or economics.

Huzoor (aba) cautioned that concerts often lead to immoral behaviour, such as dancing and mixing freely and that any activity which leads towards vice should be strictly avoided. Ultimately, he said, abstaining from such events is always better and will benefit one’s future.

4 QUESTIONS
  1. What should be the limits of bravery?
  2. Some parents are against marrying their children to those from other countries. How should we address this?
  3. How can we reduce quarrels between brothers and sisters?
  4. Some children do not have basic religious knowledge. How can we instil this in them?

SUMMARIES
  • What should be the limits of bravery?
Huzoor (aba) explained that true bravery must always be guided by wisdom, insight and understanding. A believer’s strength lies not in reckless boldness, but in acting with wisdom and compassion.

Huzoor (aba) said that while speaking the truth before a tyrant ruler is a great virtue, one must still weigh whether speaking out will bring benefit or harm. If revealing the truth publicly would expose someone’s faults or harm their reputation, then one should instead advise the person privately and with sympathy.

Huzoor (aba) reminded that Allah is the Concealer of faults, so believers too should conceal others’ shortcomings. The Promised Messiah (as) taught that if you see a weakness in someone, first pray for them for forty days, then advise them gently and only if that fails, inform those responsible for reformation.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that wisdom and gentleness should guide all actions. Even when confronting someone who opposes you, Allah commands to “repel evil with that which is best.” This approach can turn hostility into friendship, whereas harshness only breeds resentment.

Huzoor (aba) warned against behaving like the ignorant Bedouins of early Islam, who would question and challenge leaders disrespectfully. Instead, believers should follow the example of the well-trained Companions of the Holy Prophet (sa), who acted with humility and understanding.

Huzoor (aba) advised that leaders within Lajna should correct others privately and kindly, rather than publicly shaming or scolding them about issues such as hijab or dress. True leadership, he said, means reforming with love, not instilling fear. When members feel that their Sadr genuinely cares for them, a bond of trust and unity develops, fulfilling the true purpose of the Jama’at organisation.

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) said that courage is necessary, but it must always be coupled with wisdom, compassion and understanding.

  • Some parents are against marrying their children to those from other countries. How should we address this?
Huzoor (aba) said: "This idea of nationality and nationalism holds no significance. The Holy Prophet (sa) said that you marry a person based on their [family] background, wealth and physical beauty. These are the characteristics people look for in a matrimonial match.”

Huzoor (aba) explained that if men seek pious women and women seek pious men, it will strengthen the Ahmadi Islamic society. The Promised Messiah (as) highlighted that claims of caste are unreliable, as after a few generations, it is impossible to verify someone’s caste.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that all Ahmadis are brothers and sisters in faith and therefore it is permissible to marry children to pious Ahmadis regardless of their family background or nationality. Castes and national divisions have no relevance and proposals from pious Ahmadis should be accepted.

  • How can we reduce quarrels between brothers and sisters?
Huzoor (aba) advised that quarrels between siblings can be avoided through good morals, patience, and prayer. He explained that if one behaves kindly and respectfully, conflicts are less likely to arise.

Huzoor (aba) mentioned some key points:
  • Avoid engaging in fights; if provoked, remain calm, excuse yourself, and do not respond negatively.
  • Practice patience and forgiveness toward both younger and older siblings.
  • Shun vain disputes and focus on kindness, as illustrated in the Qur’anic example where a person refrains from harming even when threatened.
  • Pray to Allah instead of retaliating, and trust that over time, younger siblings will recognise past mistakes and feel regret.

By following these principles, siblings can maintain harmony and prevent quarrels.

  • Some children lack basic religious knowledge. How can we instil this in them?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised that instilling basic religious knowledge in children is primarily the responsibility of parents. Moral training begins at home, where parents should teach children about religious obligations, cleanliness and matters of jurisprudence from an early age. Huzoor also said: "There is religious knowledge and literature available to you, and there is Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya and Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, where they are taught these things. There are also matters of jurisprudence.”

Guidance should be age-appropriate, with lessons explained in small, manageable steps as children grow. Mothers and fathers should share responsibilities, with mothers guiding daughters and fathers guiding sons if needed. Parents should also overcome any embarrassment; if they feel shy discussing specific topics, they can write messages explaining religious teachings and leave them for the children to read. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that active parental involvement is crucial, as external programs alone cannot provide a comprehensive moral and religious education. By taking consistent and thoughtful steps, parents can effectively instil religious knowledge and values in their children.

Six questions from the Mulaqat with Khuddam from the Midwest Region of the USA.
  1. How can we advise Khuddam older than us to be more active?
  2. Can Huzoor (aba) relate incidents he shared with companions of the Promised Messiah (as)?
  3. How can we reduce conflicts during Jama’at sports events?
  4. How can we protect ourselves from materialistic tendencies?
  5. Can Huzoor (aba) share his memories with the previous Khulafa?
  6. How can we strengthen our ties with the Jama’at and Khilafat?

SUMMARISED ANSWERS
  • (1) How can we advise Khuddam older than us to be more active?
Huzoor (aba) said: “Explain to them that I may be younger than you in age, yet despite that, I have been appointed as the Qaid.... “I come to the mosque for prayers. I humbly request that you also come to offer prayers”. He explained that the organisational structure of the Jama’at must be upheld and it is the duty of every member to encourage others towards good deeds.

Huzoor (aba) shared that when he served as a Za’im, he too had to guide Khuddam older than himself, including some of his uncles. He suggested explaining to them that attending prayers in the mosque is a command of Allah and essential for setting a good example for the next generation. Younger Khuddam can also remind their elders that: “...it is also your responsibility to contribute to my moral training as well. Therefore, set good examples for me so that I may become an even better Ahmadi Muslim.”

  • (2) Can Huzoor (aba) relate incidents he shared with companions of the Promised Messiah (as)?
Huzoor (aba) explained that at about 15-16 years of age, he did not have long sittings with the companions of the Promised Messiah (as), but he did meet several of them and has cherished memories of those encounters.

Huzoor (aba) recalled meeting Maulana Ghulam Rasool Rajeki Sahib, who was deeply devoted to worship and would immediately pray whenever anyone requested. Huzoor (aba) also mentioned Hafiz Shah Jahanpuri Sahib, a highly scholarly and knowledgeable companion with a remarkably sharp memory even in old age. His room was lined with books, and he always knew exactly where each book was kept, engaging in intellectual discussions with visitors.

Huzoor (aba) remembered visiting Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra), listening to his sermons and speeches, although he no longer recalls their exact contents.

Huzoor (aba) also spoke about his grandfather, a companion of the Promised Messiah (as), who was very active in their moral and spiritual training. He would ask Huzoor (aba) or his brother to recite the Holy Qur’an or read the newspaper aloud, whilst he would lie down but listen attentively. Huzoor (aba) said: “...whenever I made a mistake, he would immediately correct me, saying: ‘No, this verse is not like this, this word should be read in such and such manner.’ He would always be listening. So, we would never be able to get away with anything.”

Lastly, Huzoor (aba) remembered Maulvi Muhammad Hussain Sahib, who lived a long life and displayed great humility, even asking children to pray for him during his illness. Huzoor (aba) concluded that these are just some of the asting impressions he holds of those righteous and humble elders.

  • (3) How can we reduce conflicts during Jama’at sports events?
Huzoor (aba) said: “Games are meant to be played in the spirit of sportsmanship. Our games are not held for the sake of competition, that one must win and another must lose, as though it were a matter of life and death.” Huzoor (aba) said: “People should be morally trained in this regard,” to behave appropriately even on the sports field and this is the duty of the Amila members, Sadr Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Tarbiyat Secretary and parents.

Huzoor (aba) said that while temporary bans may be used as punishment when fights occur, the real solution lies in proper moral training and if this is done from the start, such conflicts would not arise at all.

  • (4) How can we protect ourselves from materialistic tendencies?
Huzoor (aba) advised that to avoid materialism, one should follow Islamic teachings, offer the five daily prayers, pray for oneself and one's children, and set a good personal example for them. Huzoor (aba) said: “...have some interaction with your children regularly and discuss different faith matters, or at least listen to MTA, Dars and read literature about their faith.”

Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that when children see their parents valuing faith above worldly matters, they will be inspired to do the same.

  • (5) Can Huzoor (aba) share his memories about the previous Khulafa?
Huzoor (aba) shared that Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II (ra) was already unwell by the time he became consciously aware of his surroundings, though he still offered him advice. Huzoor (aba) said: “Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih III (rh) would also advise me. I remember once, when I was a student, my father said to Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih III (rh) that I did not study much and slept too much and to advise me. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih III (ru) laughed and said to me: “As long as you need to sleep, you should sleep. After that, study well.”

During the 1974 anti-Ahmadiyya unrest, when Ahmadi students were expelled from the university, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih III (ru) instructed Huzoor (aba) to return to the university with two Ahmadi students, assuring him no harm would come to him. Despite the danger, he obeyed this instruction and indeed, no one harmed him, while the two accompanying students were attacked and briefly imprisoned exactly as the Khalifa’s words had foretold.

Huzoor (aba) also recounted his time serving under Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (ru) as a life devotee in Ghana, where he received personal guidance, appreciation and regular instructions. Upon returning to Rabwah, he continued striving to fulfil every directive and constantly prayed that the Khalifa would never be displeased with him.

Huzoor (aba) concluded that these were just a few brief memories, as there wasn’t enough time to share the more detailed ones.

  • (6) How can we strengthen our ties with the Jama’at and Khilafat and also with those Khuddam who come less to the mosque?
Huzoor (aba) advised that to engage Khuddam who attend the mosque less often, members should form friendships with them, organise interactive and appealing programmes and hold question-and-answer or discussion sessions on religious topics. He added that even social or sports activities can serve as a starting point to bring them closer to the mosque, after which they gradually become more spiritually and communally involved.

Huzoor (aba) said that to build a strong personal relationship with Allah and fulfil the rights of Allah and when this bond with Allah is established, a natural connection with the Jama’at and Khilafat develops, since their purpose is to guide believers toward God.

SUMMARISED ANSWERS
  • (1) How can we create a sincere love for Allah and prayers within ourselves?
Huzoor (aba) explained that to create sincere love for Allah and prayer, one must begin by reflecting deeply on Allah’s countless blessings. He reminded that Allah is the Creator, Sustainer and Provider.

Just as we feel gratitude toward anyone who gives us a gift or helps us, Huzoor (aba) said we should be even more grateful to Allah and that true love for Allah grows through gratitude and that thankfulness should be expressed through regular, heartfelt prayer. Allah Himself promises in the Holy Qur’an that if we are grateful, He will increase His blessings. Therefore, one should pray with a mindset of thankfulness and recognition of Allah’s favours.

  • (2) After marriage, relations with siblings sometimes suffer. How can we alleviate this?
Huzoor (aba) explained that to maintain harmony after marriage, one must strive to fulfil the rights of all, including parents, siblings and one’s spouse, whom Allah has entrusted to their care. Huzoor (aba) reminded: “I made a list of various rights in my Jalsa speeches and spoke on them over the course of two to three years and even then they have not all been covered.” He also emphasised that mindfulness of each person’s rights prevents disputes and that one should pray for lasting love and affection among family members.

Huzoor (aba) advised that siblings should understand their brother is now married and help his wife settle into the family, while the wife should also make an effort to adjust and show consideration toward her in-laws. The husband, in turn, must balance and fulfil the rights of both his wife and family with wisdom and patience.

Huzoor (aba) further reminded that wisdom, emotional control and good morals are essential to avoid conflicts and one should seek Allah’s help through prayer. Huzoor (aba) concluded by saying that educated and wise people maintain peace, while quarrels often arise from ignorance; therefore, one should strive to be wise and understanding.

  • (3) How does Islam interpret the theory of "The Big Crunch” with regards to the Day of Judgement? [The Big Crunch is a hypothetical scenario for the end of the universe, where the universe's expansion reverses and it collapses back into an infinitely dense, hot point, similar to the reverse of the Big Bang.  Ref. Wiki]
Huzoor (aba) explained that the Holy Qur’an accurately describes the "Big Bang" and the "Big Crunch," showing that Islamic teachings are consistent with science. He pointed to the verse in Surah al-Anbiya [Chapter 21] where Allah creates the universe from a single point and expands it, mirroring the Big Bang theory.

Regarding the end of the world, Huzoor (aba) said the Qur’an describes the heavens being rolled up and everything collapsing into a state similar to a black hole – the "Big Crunch." This will be followed by a new creation, showing that Allah's creative process is ongoing.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that science and religion cannot conflict because both come from God; science explores His creation, while religion provides His guidance. He noted that even a Christian priest acknowledged that the Qur’an is unique in stating these scientific facts, proving Islam's completeness and its harmony with science.

  • (4) How can we resolve differences of opinion within the Jama’at?
Huzoor (aba) explained that differences of opinion are natural and not a bad thing and what matters is how they are handled. He advised that when members sit together to consult, they should listen respectfully and if someone else’s view is better, accept it with humility. If one believes their reasoning is stronger, they may present it, but ultimately, the majority decision should be accepted and followed.

Huzoor (aba) added that if a person still feels that the majority opinion may lead to harm, they can seek further guidance from the Khalifa of the time or the central administration.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that problems arise only when disagreements turn into matters of ego or pride. The focus should always remain on working together harmoniously and seeking what benefits the Jama’at, serves humanity and strengthens mutual love and unity.

  • (5) What is Huzoor's (aba) view on the current ceasefire between Israel and Hamas?
Huzoor (aba) expressed that the current ceasefire between Israel and Hamas highlights Israel’s unwillingness to genuinely compromise, as it continues to deceive and make excuses. He noted that Muslim countries have largely failed to take meaningful action, focusing instead on their own vested interests rather than showing true unity and faith.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that Israel’s objective is the elimination of the Palestinians and that the oppression involves not only Western nations but also some Arab countries, who indirectly support Israel through inaction or complicity. He pointed out that if Arab states had acted prudently, for example, by blocking supply routes to Israel, it could have pressured Israel to behave more justly.

Huzoor (aba) concluded that when people within the community are complicit in oppression, outside intervention is ineffective, highlighting the importance of unity, moral courage and principled action.

  • (6) If one tries to improve spiritually but fails, does it mean they have a limited spiritual capacity?
Huzoor (aba) explained that spiritual growth is a continuous process where occasional setbacks are normal. A key practice is not just offering prayers regularly, but actively restoring them after distraction or decline.

Huzoor (aba) outlined the path to a higher state of the soul (Nafs-e-Mutma’innah), which requires:

• Persistent effort and voluntary prayers
• Distancing from material distractions and wrongful desires
• Relying on supplication and seeking Istighfar

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that Allah desires for us to strive for greater spirituality continually and not remain at a fixed level. He reassured that Allah rewards good deeds abundantly, erases sins and guides those who persevere, encouraging believers to never give up on their spiritual journey.

  • (7) Worldly matters can be distracting. How can we stay focused on strengthening ties with Allah?
Huzoor (aba) advised that to strengthen one's connection with Allah, a believer must prioritise faith over worldly distractions and advised using social media and technology for gaining knowledge while avoiding vain content that harms spirituality.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that regular prayer is the ultimate act of putting faith first and will be the first matter judged in the afterlife. Furthermore, frequent recitation of Istighfar and making supplications are vital for protection against spiritual decline.

Huzoor (aba) also stressed the importance of self-discipline and monitoring children's exposure to harmful content. He said: “Sometimes, even during children’s programs, vulgar advertisements appear. As a result, children’s minds are becoming polluted and poisoned at an early age. Thus, children should also be supervised.”

Huzoor (aba) concluded by saying: “... be on guard; offer your prayers, supplicate and use these things within a reasonable limit; use it for your benefit and leave it when you see that it is becoming harmful.” A believer can then safeguard their spirituality and maintain a strong bond with Allah.
