In late November 2024, members of Khuddam from the Gulf Region of the USA had the honour of meeting Huzoor (aba) in person at Islamabad. Below is a very brief account of Huzoor’s responses to the questions discussed during the meeting. Readers are encouraged to watch the full program on YouTube to hear Huzoor’s(aba) exact words directly.
Are there different stages of hell, just as there are different stages of heaven?
Huzoor(aba) replied there are varying levels of paradise just as there are there different realms within the depths of Hell. Each soul will face consequences proportionate to their deeds, with some enduring lighter punishments and others bearing the weight of severe retribution. The Holy Qur’an describes the most profound depths of Hell, enveloped entirely in fire, where some will feel hot flames upon their feet, ankles or legs, while others will suffer more intensely.
Those who commit the grave sin of shirk (that of associating partners with Allah Almighty), are destined for the deepest layers of torment. Allah Almighty, in His infinite justice, decrees that no two souls shall be treated alike. Each will reap what they have sown and their punishment or reward measured with perfect balance according to their deeds.
As a Waqf-e-Nau, what books of the Promised Messiah(as) does Huzoor(aba) recommend me to read?
Huzoor(aba) replied that as a mature Khadim he should read: ‘The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’ and since he has already read it, he should read it again to fully understand it. Other books Huzoor(aba) mentioned was Noah’s Ark and Al-Wassiyat (The Will) – even if you are not a Moosi. Huzoor(aba) emphasised this is because it teaches about the importance of Khilafat and the claim of the Promised Messiah(as) and how should one’s faith increase in Ahmadiyyat and Islam.
Why do we not hear about prophets being sent to ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs, the Maya and the Aborigines. These civilizations seem to have been persistently polytheistic?
Huzoor(aba) said that in the Holy Qur’an, Allah the Almighty proclaims that He has sent prophets to every nation and people throughout history. Though only 25 prophets are mentioned by name in the Holy Qur'an, Allah assures us that His guidance reached all corners of the earth – be it Australia, America, Asia, China, India or elsewhere.
The core message of every prophet remained the same: submit to Allah with humility and fulfil your responsibilities towards one another. Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that though not all prophets are mentioned by name, Allah Almighty assures us that His guidance has reached every people and every nation.
Huzoor, as a Waqf-e-Nau, I want to join the police force. How can I serve the Jama’at in this profession?
Huzoor(aba) said that he has previously advised Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and young people to consider careers in public service, including joining the police force and this an excellent way to contribute positively to society and enhance the quality and conduct of the police as it is often said that law enforcement in some areas, including the United States, faces challenges in building trust and maintaining fairness. By joining the police force, you can play a role in fostering positive change. Huzoor(aba) further stated that as an Ahmadi Muslim, you can exemplify the true teachings of Islam through your professionalism, compassion and commitment to justice.
Huzoor(aba) continued by saying if you rise to a position of influence within the department, you could help implement meaningful reforms and improve its practices. Your exemplary conduct will not only reflect positively on the police force but also highlight the values of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, leaving a lasting impression and fostering goodwill toward the Jama’at.
With trump being re-elected in America, what does Huzoor(aba) see for the future of America in the world?
Huzoor(aba) basically said “...let’s see what happens when Trump takes office”. While his impact on the United States is uncertain, some believe he may improve global conditions, particularly by avoiding wars. However, critics are concerned Trump may harm the American economy and take harsh actions against immigrants, especially illegal refugees. While immigration should ideally follow legal processes, a humanitarian approach is necessary to address these issues sympathetically said Huzoor(aba).
Huzoor (aba) said that opinions however remain divided about Trump’s leadership. Some international leaders are optimistic about improved global conditions when he becomes President, while others fear he may disrupt world peace. Huzoor(aba) said the cabinet “ .... he is forming seems to be of those people who are hard-headed people and they are against Muslims.” This raises concerns about relations with Muslim-majority countries, despite his claimed ties with leaders like Saudi Arabia’s prince. Even China’s president has expressed hope for better relations.
Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that ultimately, Trump remains unpredictable and only time will reveal the outcome of his leadership.

Below is a summary of the answers – the answers Huzoor(aba) gave were actually more detailed and one is encouraged to views the MTA YouTube report.
KHUDDAM FROM THE WEST COAST – 23 November 2024
How can we best convey to others the difference between Ahmadis and other Muslims?
Huzoor (aba) said the key difference between Ahmadi Muslims and other Muslims lies in the belief about the fulfilment of the prophecy of the Messiah and Mahdi. Ahmadis believe Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) of Qadian is the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, supported by various prophetic signs such as the eclipses of the sun and moon during Ramadan in 1894 and 1895 and advancements in transportation.
Unlike other Muslims who await the return of Hazrat Isa (Jesus), Huzoor(aba) said Ahmadis assert he has passed away and will not return, leading to their acceptance of the Promised Messiah’s claim. The Promised Messiah’s(as) mission aligns with spreading Islam as per the Qur'an and the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa) without introducing a new Sharia and “without breaking the Seal of Prophethood.”
Ahmadis believe Islam Ahmadiyyat will spread globally in a shorter time than Christianity’s initial spread which took almost 300 years. Huzoor(aba) encouraged Ahmadis to explain these distinctions with clarity. This answer was quite long and more detailed – please see video.
Huzoor (aba) was informed about a common divide between Khuddam born in the United States and those who have immigrated from other countries and was asked for guidance on how to strengthen this relationship.
In his reply, Huzoor(aba) emphasised the significance of unity and shared beliefs among Ahmadi Muslims and explained that all Ahmadis are united in their belief in one God, one Holy Book (the Holy Qur’an) – and the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa). Huzoor(aba) stated: “We believe that the Promised Messiah(as) has appeared and after his demise, the system of Khilafat has continued. So, what is the difference?”
Huzoor(aba) pointed out that differences typically stem from factors such as language or place of birth, rather than faith or teachings. “As far as religion is concerned, there should not be any difference because there is no deviation in your teaching. The only different thing is the language.”
Huzoor(aba) further remarked that immigrants adapt to the local language over time, which helps to close these gaps and encouraged the Khuddam to focus on fostering unity by emphasising their shared faith and working to strengthen connections, despite cultural or linguistic differences.
What can we do as Ahmadi Muslims if Russia were to attack the United States?
Huzoor(aba) explained that Ahmadi Muslims residing in the USA are citizens of that nation and as such, it is their duty to defend it. If they serve in the armed forces, they may need to engage in combat as part of their responsibilities.
However, Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of praying for the nation, asking Allah the Almighty to guide its leaders and others involved to act justly and to prevent cruelty or injustice. Huzoor(aba) reiterated that the principle that “love for one’s country is part of faith” requires action to support and defend one’s homeland.
At the same time, he advised that if one finds their country involved in unjust actions, they should consider, if possible, to migrate to another place.
How can we guide family members who have deviated from Islam or Ahmadiyyat?
Huzoor (aba) advised that one should make earnest efforts to convey the true teachings of Islam to others and help them understand why they may be straying from its principles. If they show interest, further guidance should be sought from a Murrabbi Sahib to address their questions. However, if they refuse to listen, one should simply pray for them.
The questioner also requested prayers for his spiritual and academic success to which Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of offering the five daily prayers, performing Nawafil where possible and reciting Istighfar and Durood for personal and collective spiritual growth. Huzoor(aba) also mentioned the prayer: “O my Lord, everything serves You. So O my Lord, protect me and help me and have mercy on me.” for personal and as well as for the Jama’at’s betterment.
What advice does Huzoor (aba) have for those Ahmadi Muslims living in isolated areas?
Huzoor (aba) advised that if up to four people are living together within a small area, they should try to gather for the Friday prayer. If only family members are present, Jumuah should be offered with them. Huzoor(aba) also shared his personal experience from his years in Ghana, where he often prayed Jumuah with just his wife and occasionally with an Ahmadi student or a worker.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the importance of managing such situations thoughtfully, ensuring that the five daily prayers are offered in congregation with family members. Also, Huzoor (aba) encouraged daily recitation of the Holy Qur’an with translation to help family members understand its teachings.
MEMBERS OF SADRAN From BRAMPTON WEST – 24 November 2024
What should we do if the quorum is not met for Shura elections at the first attempt?
The answer Huzoor(aba) gave was quite lengthy and difficult to do and below is a significant summary. Huzoor (aba) basically outlined the comprehensive responsibilities of the Tarbiyat department which are essential to instil a sense of responsibility among Jama’at members and stressed the importance of understanding the significance of the Jama’at's system, Shura and elections and fulfilling the rights owed to Allah and the community.
Huzoor(aba) highlighted that Tarbiyat goes beyond filling out reports; it involves cultivating a deep commitment to faith, worship and service and urged Tarbiyat Secretaries to inspire Jama’at members to fulfil their pledges, offer prayers regularly, recite the Holy Qur’an and contribute actively to Jama’at activities. Huzoor(aba) said when Tarbiyat is effectively implemented, it strengthens all departments and fosters a spirit of sacrifice and unity.
Huzoor(aba) was asked for his advice when regarding the challenges of Chanda of students who transition from studying to working
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that members, especially earning individuals, should be encouraged to contribute to Chanda Aam, while students unable to pay should inform about their circumstances and participate in other financial schemes. Huzoor(aba) highlighted the role of Tarbiyat departments, missionaries and Amila members in fostering personal connections and leading by example to inspire participation.
Drawing from a Qur’anic analogy “Take four birds and make them attached to thyself.” (Ch.2 Verse 261), Huzoor(aba) explained that with proper training and care, members will respond positively. Huzoor(aba) also stressed the importance of a welcoming and approachable attitude especially among Amila members, to build trust and engagement.
Huzoor(aba) was asked about what should be done about families who do not attend Jama'at events or retain contact?
Huzoor (aba) advised that efforts to guide members should continue as long as they still themselves identify as Ahmadi Muslims. Huzoor(aba) emphasised using love and tenderness to bring them closer and urged officeholders to remain steadfast, make consistent efforts and pray for such individuals.
Huzoor(aba) remarked that officeholders often only engage with members for specific tasks, such as collecting Chanda or organising programs and stressed the importance of fostering personal relationships. Finance secretaries, for example, should not limit visits to Chanda collection but should also inquire about members' well-being. Similarly, Tarbiyat secretaries and missionaries can casually encourage mosque attendance. For those who have become overly materialistic or distant from faith, tailored plans should be created to address their specific situations.
Huzoor(aba) reiterated the need for persistence and prayer, continuing these efforts until members explicitly renounce their connection to the Jama’at.
A question was asked about Wassiyat and the value of a property for which payment must be made within 5 years and if this can be extended to 10 years
Huzoor (aba) explained that the Shura has already set rules regarding the payment of Wassiyat on a house. The Moosi is required to pay their share within five years and if they pass away, this responsibility falls on the heirs, who must fulfil it within two years by selling the property or assets, or using savings.
For mortgaged houses, small contributions towards Wassiyat can be made alongside mortgage payments, gradually paying off the commitment. Huzoor(aba) emphasised that Wassiyat is a pledge and not conditional on leftover funds or convenience and must be fulfilled by selling the property if necessary. If a house is mortgaged, as ownership gradually transfers through payments, the Moosi can designate those portions as contributions towards Wassiyat. This approach extends the payment timeline but ensures compliance, provided it is clearly communicated to the Jama’at.
If the property is fully owned and no longer mortgaged, Huzoor(aba) stressed that Wassiyat should be paid within five years. Contributions over a longer period require reassessment of the property's value every five years, as housing prices typically increase. Paying Wassiyat based on outdated valuations does not align with the spirit of sacrifice. Huzoor(aba) highlighted that the five-year rule is designed for ease, allowing payment on the original value without reassessment. Beyond that, adjustments are necessary to reflect the current property value.
Huzoor(aba) was asked if it might be possible that at some point in the future, Ahmadi Muslims will be able to openly perform Hajj openly.
Huzoor(aba) advised that one must pray and trust in Allah, who possesses knowledge of the unseen and emphasised that while it is our heartfelt desire and prayer to see ease in matters of Hajj and Umrah, we should remain grateful for the blessings already in place. Huzoor(aba) mentioned, by Allah’s grace, Ahmadis are not questioned about their beliefs when applying for visas and online systems have simplified this process.
Huzoor(aba) mentioned, by Allah’s grace, Ahmadis are not questioned about their beliefs when applying for visas and online systems have simplified this process and expressed hope that, in the future, Allah may bring about further ease by the ruling King of the time.
However, Huzoor(aba) said, that our foremost duty is to pray fervently and reminded that when the community grows in strength and numbers, by Allah's will, new doors of opportunity will open. Quoting the Promised Messiah(as), Huzoor(aba) reflected on the timeline of divine progress, noting that while it took more than 300 years for the message of Jesus (as) to spread, the progress of Ahmadiyyat will be much swifter. He reassured that when the time comes, Umrah and Hajj will be Insha’Allah performed openly without restrictions, by the grace of Allah.
