  • (1) Huzoor’s (aba) advice for Waqf-e-Nau aspiring to enter politics.
Huzoor (aba) started by saying: “You can become a politician but do not tell lies!” He advised that truthfulness must remain paramount and that one should always uphold and promote the truth. While acknowledging that a career in politics is permissible, Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of maintaining honesty and integrity in public service.

Huzoor (aba) further suggested that it may be more beneficial for a Waqf-e-Nau to first pursue a career in government service or the civil service, where they can contribute positively to society and help ensure accountability within public institutions. He encouraged the questioner to focus on the necessary studies and examinations required for such roles, noting that a transition into politics could always be made at a later stage.

  • (2) How can one serve the Jama'at by becoming a scientist?'
Huzoor (aba) encouraged the questioner to pursue scientific excellence and work hard to develop inventions or innovations that benefit both humanity and the wider world. He explained that serving mankind through scientific achievement is, in itself, a valuable service to the Jama'at.

Huzoor (aba) said that as an Ahmadi scientist contributes positively to society, others will naturally come to recognise their faith and learn about Ahmadiyyat, thereby creating opportunities for Tabligh. Huzoor (aba) said: “That itself is your service to the Jama’at. Serve humanity – that itself is service to humanity.” He emphasised that a true scientist should be dedicated to the service of humanity and that such service is also a means of serving the Jama’at.

  • (3) Huzoor’s (aba) guidance on ADHD and similar diagnoses in children.
In response to a question regarding ADHD and similar diagnoses in children, Huzoor (aba) observed that there can sometimes be a tendency to label naturally active or energetic children with various conditions at an early stage. He noted that many children are simply active by nature and should be given the opportunity to grow, learn and develop in a normal educational environment without causing undue concern to their parents.

Huzoor (aba) advised parents not to become overly anxious when children display high levels of energy or activity, explaining that such traits do not necessarily indicate a medical condition. He remarked that many children who are active and energetic go on to excel in their studies and careers, becoming successful professionals and contributing positively to society. Huzoor (aba) said: “In Pakistan and other poorer countries, people do not even notice whether children are hyperactive or not. Yet they still study, become engineers and doctors. But here they keep saying ADHD, ADHD, merely to worry parents.”

At the same time, Huzoor (aba) acknowledged that genuine cases do exist and that those who are truly affected should receive appropriate care and treatment. However, he encouraged parents to adopt a balanced approach and not to become unnecessarily worried by labels or diagnoses without good reason.

  • (4) Why can major sins be forgiven but not shirk?
In response to a question about why major sins can be forgiven while shirk is singled out in the Holy Qur’an, Huzoor (aba) explained that shirk represents a person placing themselves in opposition to Allah and associating others with His unique power and authority. As long as a person persists in such a state without repentance, they remain distant from Allah's forgiveness.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised, however, that Allah is Most Gracious and Most Merciful and that sincere repentance can lead to the forgiveness of even the gravest sins. He cited the well-known example of a man who had committed one hundred murders but was ultimately granted Allah’s mercy because he genuinely turned towards repentance and sought forgiveness.

Huzoor (aba) explained that Allah judges people according to the sincerity of their repentance and the condition of their hearts. While wrongdoing and oppression carry consequences, Allah’s attribute of mercy remains ever-present for those who sincerely seek His forgiveness. Even a person guilty of shirk may attain forgiveness if they sincerely repent before death. Huzoor (aba) concluded by highlighting the vastness of Allah’s mercy and His desire to forgive those who turn to Him with true remorse.

  • (5) Will there be a new world order after a global war?
In response to a question about whether a new world order could emerge after a global war, Huzoor (aba) explained that he had long warned that widespread conflict and destruction would lead people to search for solutions and guidance. He therefore urged Ahmadis to proactively introduce the teachings of Islam and the Jama’at to others before such a time arrives.

Huzoor (aba) stated that the true salvation of humanity lies in turning towards Allah the Almighty and adopting the teachings of Islam. He noted that the world has already witnessed the shortcomings of systems such as socialism, communism and capitalism, yet unrest and injustice continue to persist.

Highlighting the comprehensive nature of Islam’s teachings, Huzoor (aba) explained that the Islamic system provides balanced solutions for both the spiritual and material welfare of society, safeguarding the rights of the poor, orphans, widows and the wider community. He encouraged Ahmadis to continue explaining Islam’s spiritual and economic principles so that, when people seek a better way forward, they may recognise the superiority of the Islamic model and be guided towards it through Tabligh.

  • (6) Why are two sajdah's performed for mistakes in salat?
In response to a question about the wisdom behind performing two sajdahs for mistakes made during Salat, Huzoor (aba) explained that the purpose of Sajdah is to seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty for any errors committed during prayer.

Huzoor (aba) noted that making mistakes is part of human nature and that every person is liable to this. He explained that the two prostrations serve as an acknowledgement of one's mistake and a means of humbly turning to Allah for forgiveness.

Drawing a simple analogy, Huzoor (aba) stated that just as a person apologises to a teacher after making a mistake, the two sajdahs are, in essence, a way of expressing remorse and seeking pardon before Allah.

  • (7) Why did the Holy Prophet (sa) not eat before the Eid al-Adha sacrifice?
In response to a question about why the Holy Prophet (sa) would not eat before the Eid al-Adha sacrifice, Huzoor (aba) explained that this practice should not be understood as a fast, since fasting involves abstaining from food and drink from dawn until sunset. Rather, the Holy Prophet (sa) would offer the Eid al-Adha prayer early in the morning and then partake of the meat from the animal that had been sacrificed.

Huzoor (aba) explained that the wisdom behind this practice was to seek blessings from the sacrifice offered in the way of Allah the Almighty. By delaying food until after the sacrifice and then eating from it, the Holy Prophet (sa) demonstrated his desire to share in the blessings associated with that act of worship.

Huzoor (aba) further clarified that the Holy Prophet (sa) did not abstain from drinking water; rather, he simply refrained from eating food until after the sacrifice had been made. This practice reflected the spiritual significance he attached to the act of sacrifice and the blessings derived from it.

  • (8) How can we recognise good company?
In response to a question about recognising good company, Huzoor (aba) explained that good companions are those who encourage a person towards righteousness, good morals, prayer and virtuous deeds. He emphasised that friends and elders who guide others towards positive behaviour and away from wrongdoing are a source of beneficial companionship.

Huzoor (aba) advised young people to avoid close association with individuals who engage in harmful habits, inappropriate behaviour, violence, or other negative influences. He also stressed the importance of sincerity in friendships, noting that true friends remain loyal and supportive regardless of any material benefit they may receive.

Huzoor (aba) concluded by explaining that good company is characterised by honesty, good character and a positive influence, whereas those who promote bad habits, neglect their responsibilities, or encourage wrongdoing should not be chosen as close companions.

  • (9) How can we balance Hifz-e-Qur’an with school studies?
In response to a question about balancing Hifz-e-Qur’an with school studies, Huzoor (aba) advised that during examination periods, priority should be given to academic studies while maintaining and revising previously memorised portions of the Holy Qur’an.

Huzoor (aba) encouraged the questioner to regularly revise their existing memorisation and recite it in their daily prayers, rather than attempting to memorise new portions during particularly demanding periods of study. He explained that this approach would help preserve what had already been learned while allowing the necessary focus to be given to examinations.

Huzoor (aba) further noted that students attending dedicated Hifz institutions often concentrate solely on memorisation, whereas those pursuing both Hifz and formal education must carefully balance the two responsibilities. He therefore advised that new memorisation could be resumed after examinations, particularly during school holidays, while continuing revision throughout the academic term.

  • (10) Should Tasneef work take priority over school studies?
In response to a question about balancing Tasneef work with school studies, Huzoor (aba) emphasised that education should remain a student's foremost priority. He advised that schoolwork should be completed first, with Tasneef activities undertaken only after academic responsibilities have been fulfilled.

Huzoor (aba) explained that attaining a strong educational foundation and qualifications would ultimately enable an individual to make even greater contributions to Tasneef and other forms of service in the future. While encouraging young people to participate in Tasneef work according to their capacity, he stressed that this should not come at the expense of their studies.

Huzoor (aba) further advised the questioner to organise their time effectively by following a structured timetable. He said that school holidays and other periods outside the academic term provide valuable opportunities to dedicate additional time to Tasneef work. However, whenever school is in session, academic studies should take precedence.

  • (11) Huzoor’s (aba) guidance on publishing books for children under 10.
In his guidance regarding literature for children under the age of ten, Huzoor (aba) encouraged those involved in Tasneef to take an active role in producing original content specifically designed for younger readers. He remarked that Allah the Almighty had bestowed them with the ability and intellectual capacity to write and create beneficial material, and therefore they should make use of those God-given talents.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that Tasneef is not limited to translating existing works but also involves authoring original material. He encouraged individuals to contribute their own ideas and efforts by writing suitable content for children.

Huzoor (aba) further advised that small, engaging, and age-appropriate books should be developed for younger children, describing such work as a valuable and worthwhile service.

  • (1) How should we respond when we struggle to accept a certain Islamic injunction?
Huzoor (aba) explained that when a person struggles to accept an Islamic injunction, they should first remember that every commandment of Allah contains wisdom. Rather than rejecting it, they should reflect deeply, study the Holy Qur’an and seek guidance from knowledgeable scholars, Hadith experts, or those well-versed in the writings of the Promised Messiah (as).

Regarding Hijab, Huzoor (aba) stated that Islam acknowledges a natural desire to appear attractive. However, Allah has prescribed appropriate boundaries for expressing beauty. A married woman should adorn herself for her husband, while women may freely do so in female-only environments. Public display of beauty, however, can lead to moral and social problems.

Huzoor (aba) said: “...Allah stated that for the sake of recognition, you should then observe Purdah and maintain such a Hijab that a man would not dare to make any kind of inappropriate joke with you. So the actual background behind this is exactly this: that your sanctity is established and men’s attention is not drawn towards wrong deeds.” To illustrate the wisdom behind Hijab, Huzoor (aba) referred to the Qur’anic instruction given even to the wives of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), who were told to speak firmly rather than softly to unrelated men, lest some men develop improper thoughts. This demonstrates that Allah, Who created mankind, fully understands human nature and therefore provides guidance for the protection and dignity of women.

Huzoor (aba) also cited a historical incident in Madinah where a Muslim woman was humiliated when a Jewish man secretly fastened her garment while she was seated at a marketplace. When she stood up, her modesty was compromised, leading to conflict and bloodshed. Following such incidents, Allah strengthened the command regarding Hijab so that Muslim women would be clearly recognised as honourable and chaste individuals, discouraging men from treating them disrespectfully or engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the primary purpose of Hijab is protection, dignity and the preservation of a woman’s sanctity. Hijab is not merely about covering the face; it encompasses modest dress, dignified conduct and safeguarding oneself from unwanted attention. Its objective is to prevent immoral intentions and actions, while ensuring that women are respected and protected within society.

  • (2) How can we trust the parents' judgment regarding a marriage proposal if they have not set a good example themselves?
Huzoor (aba) said the question was very valid and acknowledged that it can be difficult to rely on the judgment of parents who have not themselves set a good example. However, he explained that the ultimate guidance in matters of marriage comes from Allah, Who alone knows what is best for a person's future.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of the Istikhara and sincere prayer when considering a marriage proposal, asking Allah to create an inclination towards the proposal if it is beneficial and to remove it from one's heart if it is not. He advised that neither parental pressure nor emotional attachment should be the sole basis for such a decision.

Huzoor (aba) explained that young people have the right to accept or reject a proposal. If a genuine feeling of discomfort or aversion develops, they should not proceed, regardless of parental wishes. At the same time, decisions based purely on emotions can lead to regret, as feelings may fade and result in conflict or divorce. He cited the high divorce rates in societies where individuals commonly choose their own spouses as evidence that personal choice alone does not guarantee a successful marriage.

Huzoor (aba) further highlighted that Islam grants women the freedom to make their own marital decisions, referring to an incident from the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) in which a woman was granted khula because she no longer wished to remain in her marriage.

Huzoor (aba) said: “... the Holy Prophet (sa) said that when you seek marriage, look at a person’s faith. Rather than focusing on worldly matters, beauty, wealth, or family background, look at whether the person possesses faith and has a relationship with Allah. If both the boy and the girl begin to prioritise faith, then their preferences will naturally become aligned.”

  • (3) What should be done if a husband expects his wife to work after marriage but she doesn’t want to?
Huzoor (aba) explained that whether a woman works after marriage should be discussed openly and agreed upon before the marriage takes place. If a woman is educated and wishes to pursue a profession, she has the right to do so. However, her earnings remain her own property and the husband has no entitlement to them. Regardless of whether she works, the husband remains responsible for providing for the household and meeting family expenses.

Huzoor (aba) further stated that a woman's primary responsibility is the care and upbringing of her children and the management of the home. Nevertheless, if she works in a beneficial profession, such as medicine or another field that serves humanity, she may continue her career. He emphasised that a husband should not view his wife's income with greed or self-interest, as this reflects a lack of sincerity. At the same time, such matters should be approached with wisdom and understanding rather than becoming a source of conflict within the marriage.

  • (4) When does talking about others’ mistakes, especially when we’re hurt by them,  become backbiting?
Huzoor (aba) explained that backbiting occurs when a person's faults are discussed in a way that causes them distress and contributes to disorder and conflict within society. A true Muslim should seek to reform situations and reduce discord rather than spread it. He advised that if someone has caused pain or hurt, the first step should be to approach that individual directly and explain how their actions have affected you. The aim should be reconciliation and reform, not retaliation.

Huzoor (aba) further explained that if a person is acting out of hostility and has caused significant harm, it is permissible to confide in a trusted friend solely to ease one's emotional burden, provided there is confidence that the matter will not be repeated or spread further. Similarly, concerns may be raised with Jama’at office-bearers or brought to the attention of the Khalifa if the intention is to seek justice, reform, and protection from wrongdoing.

Huzoor (aba) warned against responding to rumours, slander, or mistreatment by engaging in similar behaviour. Doing so only escalates disputes, creates factions and increases disorder. Instead, the objective should always be to suppress conflict and promote peace and reform.

Huzoor (aba) concluded that while it is natural to seek support from trusted confidants, one's intention must remain the alleviation of personal distress rather than the spreading of another person's faults. Wherever possible, the individual concerned should be approached directly and if the matter stems from persistent hostility, it may be referred to the Jama’at so that appropriate corrective measures can be taken.

  • (5) When someone is mentally overwhelmed and struggling with faith and prayer, how can they regain strength?
Huzoor (aba) advised that when a person feels mentally overwhelmed, depressed, or struggles with faith and prayer, they should not allow difficulties to grow into overwhelming problems. He noted that emotional struggles can arise from family circumstances, social pressures, friendships, or excessive worry and overthinking.

Huzoor (aba) encouraged such individuals to turn sincerely towards Allah through the regular recitation of Durood Sharif, Istighfar and the prayer: “There is no power and no strength except with Allah.” He also advised offering voluntary prayers and engaging in sincere and persistent supplication. Huzoor (aba) said: “And offer two units of voluntary prayers. Whilst in prayer, even if you are unable to focus, fall to prostration and say to Allah: Whatever I need, I will only ask You for it. Give it to me today. I will not rise until You grant it to me. As a result, Allah comforts the heart. It is the experience of many people. It is also my experience.”

To illustrate this, Huzoor (aba) referred to an incident in which a woman remained in prolonged prostration, praying earnestly for a sick family member. What had seemed impossible was resolved and the news of the relative’s recovery reached her while she was still engaged in prayer. He cited this as an example of how sincere and persistent supplication can bring about Allah’s help and comfort.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that believers should cultivate steadfastness rather than despair, continually strengthening their relationship with Allah. By turning to Him with complete trust and recognising that there is no refuge or source of true comfort except Him, a person can regain both spiritual and emotional resilience.

  • (6) Should I join the Wasiyyat scheme now even though I struggle in my faith, or wait and how can I prepare?
Huzoor (aba) advised that before deciding about Wasiyyat, one should carefully study the book, The Will (Al-Wasiyyat) and understand its purpose: strengthening one's relationship with Allah, Khilafat, worship, righteousness and moral reform.

Huzoor (aba) explained that a person does not necessarily need to wait until they feel fully reformed before joining. In fact, joining Wasiyyat can itself become a means of spiritual improvement, as it encourages a person to strive for higher standards of conduct and a stronger connection with Allah.

Huzoor (aba) said: “Therefore, you should make the decision after due contemplation. You are the only one who can make this decision, no one else can tell you what to do. However, the principle is that once you take a step towards righteousness then you are blessed with the ability to undertake more righteous deeds.”

  • (7) What should we do if a potential spouse or their family shows ego and unwillingness to change?
Huzoor (aba) advised that before proceeding with a marriage proposal, a person should pray sincerely and carefully reflect on whether the proposal is truly beneficial for them. If Allah guides them towards it, they may proceed with confidence.

Huzoor (aba) explained that ego and arrogance are traits disliked by Allah and have no place in a successful marriage. A healthy marital relationship requires humility, mutual respect and a spirit of give and take, with both spouses striving to fulfil each other’s rights.

Huzoor (aba) said: “People come to me after getting married and ask me to give them advice. I tell them that no one is perfect. You have weaknesses and faults and the man also has weaknesses and faults. Therefore, when you observe each other’s faults, you should close your eyes, if you hear faults you should close your ears, and instead of saying anything you should close your mouth. If you close these three things then you will have successful marriages...” : “This will also eliminate ego. If there is cognisance of the fact that Allah the Almighty is the fountainhead of all might and the Most Powerful of all while we ourselves have no true power, then what room is there for ego to develop?”

Concluding, Huzoor (aba) encouraged both families and prospective spouses to adopt humility and meekness, as these qualities bring blessings and help eliminate ego from relationships.

  • (8) How can we protect the younger generation from harmful AI use, un-Islamic relationships and vaping?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the best protection against harmful influences such as the misuse of AI, un-Islamic relationships and vaping is to develop a strong relationship with Allah. He noted that when young people establish regular prayers, discipline in their lives and a sense of purpose, their attention is naturally drawn towards righteousness rather than harmful habits.

Huzoor (aba) likened such practices to a fire that a person would knowingly avoid because of the harm it causes. He stressed that when individuals recognise something as harmful, they should exercise willpower, determination and self-control to stay away from it.

Regarding AI, Huzoor (aba) cautioned that it should not be relied upon unquestioningly, as it can provide incorrect information. He cited an example where AI acknowledged its own mistake when corrected on an Islamic matter, demonstrating the need for caution and verification.

As for vaping, Huzoor (aba) described it as a vain and harmful habit that offers no real benefit. Referring to the Qur’anic teaching to avoid useless and futile practices, he encouraged young people to strengthen their resolve, pray for Allah’s help, and cultivate a purposeful life. Through prayer, determination, and a living connection with Allah, they can safeguard themselves from such harmful influences.

  • (9) How can we prove that the Qur’an has remained unchanged when people claim it was altered over time?
Huzoor (aba) started by saying: “What proof do the people have who level this allegation that the Qur’an has been changed? To make the claim that there “may have been some changes” is a childish claim.” He explained that the Holy Qur’an has remained unchanged since its revelation over 1,400 years ago. He pointed to the continuous transmission of the Qur’an through recitation, memorisation and written manuscripts, including ancient copies preserved in museums around the world, as evidence of its preservation.

Huzoor (aba) stated that claims of alteration are often based on assumptions drawn from the history of other scriptures, such as the Bible, which have undergone textual changes. However, Huzoor (aba) emphasised that no evidence exists to show that the Qur’an has ever been altered. Rather, the Qur’an itself declares that Allah will safeguard it. ['Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian', Chapter 15: verse 10].

Huzoor (aba) stressed that the burden of proof lies with those making the allegation. Anyone claiming that the Qur’an has changed must provide clear evidence of what was altered, when it was altered and where the original text differs from today's Qur’an. Since ancient manuscripts from different periods all contain the same text, such claims remain unsubstantiated.

Huzoor (aba) also said that the Qur’an of today is the same Qur’an that existed in the time of the Promised Messiah (as) and throughout previous centuries. He advised Ahmadis not to be influenced by unsupported allegations, but instead to respond with confidence, reason and evidence, asking critics to substantiate their claims before expecting an answer.

  • (10) How can we practice humility in a world focused on status and performance?
Huzoor (aba) explained that striving for excellence and strong performance is not contrary to humility. Islam encourages believers to excel in good works, acquire knowledge and contribute positively to humanity. Success and achievement are commendable, but they should never lead to arrogance or a sense of superiority over others.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the more knowledge a person gains, the more humble they should become. True humility is demonstrated by treating others with respect, listening to them and presenting one's views with kindness rather than boasting about one's abilities or belittling others.

Drawing upon the examples of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) and the Promised Messiah (as), Huzoor (aba) noted that they always spoke with humility, even when addressing those who disagreed with them. This approach helped people understand and accept the truth.

Huzoor (aba) also advised Ahmadi Muslims not to become unsettled by objections or allegations, but instead to develop the habit of seeking knowledge and researching answers for themselves. He said: “If you want to search about any topic in the Qur’an or any other subject, if you go to the Qur’an [section] on Alislam you will find it, or go to the Hadith [section] and you will find it, if you go to the books of the Promised Messiah (as) you will find it. Nowadays searching for something is not a difficult task anymore. Alislam has made it very easy, but you have to make it a habit to search,”  and using their education constructively while remaining humble and reliant upon Allah.

Introduction to Mulaqat with Ansarullah from the USA.
  • (11) How can one build a personal connection with the Qur’an amid information overload and distractions?
Huzoor (aba) explained that every age has had its own distractions and challenges. He noted that much of the mental pressure people experience nowadays stems from increasing worldly desires and expectations, which can lead to frustration when they are not fulfilled.

Regarding AI, Huzoor (aba) cautioned against relying on it blindly, noting that it can provide incorrect answers, even on religious matters. While it may be a useful tool, it should not replace personal study and understanding.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that a personal connection with the Holy Qur’an is developed through the remembrance of Allah, regular prayer and sincere efforts to understand its teachings. He reminded listeners that the Qur’an contains guidance for every aspect of life and that commentaries are available to help explain difficult passages.

Referring to the example of Dr. Abdus Salam Huzoor (aba) said: “...he found 500 or 700 verses in the Qur’an related to science that inspired and guided him towards areas of research.”

Huzoor (aba) noted that the Qur’an can inspire deep reflection and intellectual discovery for those who study it thoughtfully. For the average believer, however, the essential path is to offer the five daily prayers with sincerity, supplicate to Allah and seek His guidance.

Huzoor (aba) concluded by stressing that true peace of mind is found in the remembrance of Allah. When a person fulfils their obligations to Allah, places their trust in Him and sincerely seeks His help, Allah guides them and grants them the spiritual strength and understanding they need.

(12) How can we help reduce divorce rates among middle-aged couples?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the root cause of increasing divorce rates among middle-aged couples is often a weakening of faith and a growing focus on personal desires and worldly priorities. As people become more absorbed in worldly pursuits and pay less attetion to their relationship with Allah, marital problems begin to mirror those seen in wider society, where divorce rates are much higher.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that marriage requires sacrifice, particularly after children are born. Parents should think beyond their personal interests and consider the long-term wellbeing of their children, as separation can have lasting effects on families even when children are older.

Huzoor (aba) mentioned that many marital difficulties arise when individuals fail to fulfil the rights of their spouses and become influenced by worldly temptations and inappropriate attachments. This is why Islam places emphasis on modesty, moral boundaries and safeguarding relationships.

Huzoor (aba) said the real solution lies in strengthening faith, developing a sincere relationship with Allah and giving religion priority over worldly desires. True worship is not merely offering prayers but living according to the commandments of Allah and fulfilling the rights of others.

Huzoor (aba) stressed the importance of continous Tarbiyat, particularly for men and husbands, so that they treat their wives with justice, respect and kindness. Through collective efforts to strengthen faith and moral values within families and society, divorce rates can be reduced and marriages can be preserved.

  • (13) Could Huzoor (aba) share an incident after Khilafat that shows Allah’s grace and strengthens our faith?
Huzoor (aba) explained that manifestations of Allah’s grace are witnessed daily, making it difficult to single out one particular incident. He stated that the continued progress of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at itself is among the greatest signs of Allah’s support and should be a source of increased faith for believers.

Huzoor (aba) humbly said that if Allah can take an ordinary person and through Khilafat, enable the worldwide growth and advancement of the Jama’at, this itself serves as a powerful proof of its truthfulness. He pointed to the Jama’at’s expansion across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Arab world, the Far East, North and South America, as well as the increasing faith and devotion of its members, as ongoing signs of divine blessings.

Huzoor (aba) further added that countless individual faith-inspiring incidents continue to occur and are regularly shared in reports and addresses, particularly during Jalsa Salana. He encouraged members to listen attentively to these accounts, as they contain many examples of Allah’s grace and support that strengthen faith.

  • (14) What advice would Huzoor (aba) give for maintaining humility, strengthening faith, balancing family and serving humanity while running a halal farm business?
Huzoor (aba) advised that while earning a livelihood through business is entirely permissible and was practised by many Companions of the Holy Prophet (sa), faith must always remain the foremost priority. No worldly pursuit should lead a person to neglect their obligations to Allah.

Huzoor (aba) cited the saying of the Promised Messiah (as), “Haath ba-kar, dil ba-yar” (hands occupied with work, heart attached to Allah), explaining that one should work diligently while maintaining constant awareness of and reliance upon Allah. He emphasised that business must be conducted with complete honesty and integrity, free from deception or misleading practices. Whether selling livestock, meat, eggs, or any other product, a person should ensure that their claims are truthful and that customers receive exactly what is promised.

Huzoor (aba) concluded by saying: “... do not neglect your five daily prayers. It should not be that you become so absorbed in your business affairs that you forget your prayers. Likewise, do not neglect the rights of your wife and children, nor the responsibilities and obligations you owe to the Jama’at. If you keep these principles in mind, then your business will prosper, you will attain the pleasure of Allah, and you will also achieve success in worldly matters.”

Summarised Answers.
  • (1) Please tell us the formula for success in spiritual and worldly tasks?
Huzoor (aba) explained that there is no shortcut or simple formula for success in either spiritual or worldly matters. He said: “Supplicate in your prayers and ask from Allah alone. Allah the Almighty has established Salat so that human life becomes disciplined. And then Allah the Almighty also accepts prayers alongside this.”

Huzoor (aba) also stated that for prayers to be accepted, a person must also act upon all of Allah’s commandments, fulfilling both the rights of Allah and the rights of His creation. Merely offering prayers without righteous conduct is insufficient.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that success requires effort, perseverance and hard work. Just as a person must study for many years and strive diligently to qualify in a profession, spiritual progress also demands continuous effort, sacrifice and obedience to God. There is no quick method by which a person can instantly attain nearness to Allah or become a friend of God (Waliulah); rather, it is achieved through sincere worship, righteous deeds and steadfast endeavour.

  • (2) How can we maintain our Islamic values whilst not becoming isolated from society?
Huzoor (aba) explained that Muslims can maintain their Islamic values without becoming isolated from society by remaining firmly connected to God and fulfilling both the rights of Allah and the rights of His creation. He stated that many of society’s problems stem from selfishness, which arises when people distance themselves from God and prioritise their own interests over the needs of others.

Huzoor (aba) highlighted that the central purpose of the teachings of Islam, as emphasised by the Holy Prophet (sa) and the Promised Messiah (as), is to strengthen mankind’s relationship with God and to foster service to humanity. A true believer, who sincerely acts upon the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and prioritises faith over worldly interests, will naturally fulfil both these responsibilities and will not be consumed by selfishness or materialism.

Huzoor (aba) noted that religious people are often among the most charitable and caring members of society. He said: “...global research to date, both here and in other Western countries, shows that the people who generally give the most to charity and care for others are those who are more religious, and among them, Muslims stand out the most. This means that, even now, the characteristic of giving alms and charity and helping others is still present among Muslims.”

Huzoor (aba) stressed that merely listening to sermons, attending gatherings, or speaking about Islamic values is not enough; these teachings must be translated into practical action. He further emphasised the importance of regular prayer, devotion to Allah and striving to fulfil the needs and rights of others. Muslims must cultivate these values within themselves and pass them on to future generations so that faith remains a living legacy. Only by actively practising Islam and prioritising spiritual values over worldly distractions can believers remain engaged with society while preserving their Islamic identity and principles.

  • (3) How do you see the institution of Wasiyyat developing?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the institution of Wasiyyat will continue to grow as more people join the scheme and as Ahmadiyyat spreads throughout the world. Greater participation will strengthen the Jama’at’s ability to support its activities and provide assistance to those in need, including students, the sick, widows and orphans.

Huzoor (aba) stated that the Promised Messiah (as) established Wasiyyat not only to support the propagation of Islam but also to create a system that serves humanity. As the Jama’at expands, this system will likewise develop to meet the needs of an increasing number of people.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the true purpose of Wasiyyat is to fulfil both the rights of Allah and the rights of mankind, combining financial sacrifice for the sake of faith with service to humanity.

Huzoor (aba) also mentioned two books – The Will by the Promised Messiah (as) and The New World Order by Hazrat Musleh Mau’od (ra).

  • (4) Which form of medicine should we follow when there is conflicting information?
Huzoor (aba) explained that while different medical systems may use different terminology and treatments, many ultimately acknowledge the same underlying health issues and recommend measures to address them. He noted that whether through conventional medicine, homeopathy, Ayurvedic medicine, or traditional remedies, practitioners often prescribe medicines and dietary restrictions to help manage conditions such as high cholesterol and its associated risks.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that high cholesterol can contribute to heart disease and blocked arteries and therefore should not be dismissed. Huzoor (aba) pointed out that even alternative systems of medicine often recommend treatments and lifestyle changes aimed at reducing these risks, regardless of the terminology they use.

Referring to traditional Islamic remedies, he mentioned a narration in which the Holy Prophet (sa) prescribed ground Ajwa dates for a person suffering from a heart-related condition, noting that some physicians today also regard Ajwa dates as beneficial for heart health.

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) advised adopting a balanced and practical approach by taking appropriate precautions, following sound medical advice. He said: “By all means, eat what you like if the heart’s arteries are open, then it makes no difference, but walk five miles daily as well.” He stressed that regardless of the medical system one follows, personal responsibility for preserving one's health remains essential.

  • (5) When someone is dying, we pray for their good end. Please explain this?
Huzoor (aba) explained that praying for a good end should not be limited to a person’s final days or moments before death. Rather, every believer should continually pray throughout their life for their own good end, as well as for the good end of their loved ones and fellow believers. Since no one knows what challenges or spiritual trials may arise in the future, a person should constantly seek Allah’s protection and steadfastness in faith.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that even a seemingly pious and devoted individual can face spiritual decline or become distant from faith, which is why the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Holy Prophet (sa) encourage believers to regularly pray for a righteous conclusion to their lives.

Regarding the recitation of Surah Ya Sin for those nearing death, Huzoor (aba) explained that its purpose is to bring comfort, peace and blessings. If the person is in their final moments, it is a prayer for ease and tranquillity and if they are destined to recover, it remains a source of comfort and divine grace. Huzoor (aba) said: “...regardless of whether a person is healthy or sick, whether a person is in the final moments of their life  or at the absolute peak of their youth, one should always pray for their good end. Do you not pray for your good end?”

Huzoor (aba) concluded by stressing that a good end is achieved through a lifetime of prayer, righteousness and seeking Allah’s mercy, rather than only turning to such prayers when death is imminent. A believer should therefore always remain mindful of their spiritual state and continuously pray for steadfastness and a blessed end.

Introduction to Mulaqat with Amila Members from Jamaat Ahmadiyya Baltimore, USA.
  • (6) How can we build a relationship with those who are distant from the Jama’at?
Huzoor (aba) advised that building relationships with those who have become distant from the Jama’at requires patience, consistency and genuine care. He encouraged members to continue reaching out regularly, asking about people's wellbeing and maintaining contact without focusing on Jama’at administration or financial matters.

Huzoor (aba) explained that such efforts may not yield immediate results, but persistent kindness and concern can gradually soften hearts, just as a constant flow of water can eventually wear through stone. He said: “As for those who have become deeply absorbed in worldly matters, just because they do not respond once, twice, five times, or ten times, does not mean that we should become tired. Our job is not to become tired. Keep trying continuously. This was the command of Allah the Almighty to the Holy Prophet (sa): continue admonishing, and continue doing so. And that is our duty as well.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that it is the duty of every member to continue reaching out with love and sincerity, following the example of the Holy Prophet (sa), who was instructed by Allah to continue reminding and advising people with patience. He also suggested strengthening personal relationships through friendly visits when appropriate, while respecting people's wishes if they decline contact.

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) stressed that outreach should be carried out with humility, perseverance and without taking rejection personally. By maintaining genuine relationships and continuing efforts with love and prayer, positive change can gradually be achieved.

  • (7) We invite guests to the Mosque for tabligh but are not getting results, please advise us?
Huzoor (aba) explained that the most effective form of tabligh is not persistent preaching, but demonstrating the true teachings of Islam through righteous conduct, kindness and strong personal relationships. He noted that those who visit Ahmadi mosques have already taken an important step by coming to pray and listen, indicating that they are open-minded and do not accept the misconceptions often spread about the Jama’at.

Huzoor (aba) advised that such visitors should not be pressured with direct preaching. Instead, Ahmadis should display excellent morals, hospitality and genuine concern for their wellbeing. By welcoming them warmly, spending time with them and building trust, their hearts and minds will gradually become receptive, leading them to ask questions themselves.

Huzoor (aba) said:  "I mentioned [in previous Friday Sermon], that the Promised Messiah (as) had also stated that more people accepted Islam through the Holy Prophet's (sa) practical example and noble character than through direct preaching. Similarly, I related incidents about the Promised Messiah (as) in which many Companions (ra) said that they accepted Islam merely by seeing his face and observing his character. Therefore, you cannot preach effectively by constantly pursuing someone.”

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that every individual is different and therefore requires an approach suited to their background, knowledge and temperament. Meaningful tabligh is achieved through wisdom, patience and understanding rather than a one-size-fits-all method.

Huzoor (aba) further explained that bringing someone to Bai‘at is a gradual process and should not be the sole measure of success. Even those who become sympathetic towards the Jama’at and refrain from opposing it represent positive progress. He cited the guidance that winning people over is difficult, whereas driving them away is very easy.

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) encouraged continued efforts without becoming discouraged by a lack of immediate results. He stressed the importance of cooperation between Tabligh, Tarbiyyat and other Jama’at departments, focusing on strengthening existing Ahmadis, fostering good character and building sincere relationships. Through patience, prayer and exemplary conduct, lasting and meaningful results will eventually emerge.

  • (8) How can we advise young Ahmadis who have experienced multiple rishta rejections and wish to marry outside the Jama’at?
Huzoor (aba) advised that young Ahmadis should be reminded of the Islamic principle taught by the Holy Prophet (sa) that marriage should be based primarily on righteousness and faith. Religious individuals should seek spouses who are similarly committed to their faith and children should be raised with these values from an early age.

Huzoor (aba) acknowledged that repeated rishta rejections can sometimes result from misunderstandings, misinformation, jealousy, or negative comments made by others. Therefore, it is important to identify and address the underlying causes of such difficulties rather than simply focusing on the outcome.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the long-term solution lies in comprehensive moral and spiritual training. True tarbiyyat goes far beyond completing forms, attending programmes, or fulfilling routine requirement as it requires developing strong Islamic values and character.

Huzoor (aba) said: “To say that someone has prayed or recited the Qur’an, and to fill forms and check off that you have listened to the sermon is of no value. Instead, you should formulate great plans in coordination with Tabligh, Tarbiyat, Rishta Nata, Umoor-e-Amma, Mal, and so on. When the entire system makes a coordinated effort, it will yield results.”

  • (9) How can we help those who are excluded from higher education due to lack of funding?
Huzoor (aba) explained that those who lack the financial means to pursue higher education should be supported wherever possible, as education remains an important means of personal and societal development. Huzoor (aba) encouraged efforts to assist deserving students so that financial difficulties do not prevent them from continuing their studies.

At the same time, he acknowledged the reality that even highly qualified individuals may struggle to find employment in their chosen fields due to economic challenges and global instability. However, he stressed that such difficulties should not discourage people from seeking higher education.

Huzoor (aba) advised students to continue striving for educational excellence while placing their trust in Allah and praying for suitable opportunities. He also emphasised the importance of self-reliance, encouraging individuals to accept lawful work when necessary, even if it falls outside their area of expertise, rather than remaining idle or becoming dependent on others. Huzoor (aba) cited an example: “I know one PhD student in chemistry, who could not find a job in his field. And he is doing some odd jobs - he is a cab driver. A PhD qualified person is a cab driver. So this is everywhere because of the economic crisis in the world.”

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) urged that higher education should continue to be encouraged and supported, expressing confidence that perseverance, prayer, and hard work will ultimately lead to better opportunities in the future.

  • (10) Can we start a system of brotherhood between established and newly arrived families in the USA?
Huzoor (aba) warmly endorsed the idea of establishing a system of brotherhood between established and newly arrived families, stating that such an initiative would be highly beneficial. He encouraged local Jama’ats to take the lead in implementing this model, which could then serve as an example for others to follow.

Huzoor (aba) explained that this responsibility should be undertaken jointly by the Tarbiyat and Umoor-e-Amma departments. Beyond resolving disputes and disciplinary matters, Umoor-e-Amma has a broader duty to help members settle successfully in society, including supporting their economic stability, social integration and adjustment to new environments.

Drawing upon the example of the Holy Prophet (sa), Huzoor (aba) noted how the migrant companions to the Ansar were supported according to their individual circumstances. Some accepted financial assistance, while others preferred opportunities to earn independently. Likewise, newly arrived families today should be helped in ways that best suit their needs and abilities.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that practical support, guidance and where necessary, financial assistance should be provided to help newcomers become self-sufficient and productive members of society. He added that local Jama’ats can seek support from national resources when required and should make every effort to assist those who demonstrate potential and a willingness to progress.

In conclusion, Huzoor (aba) stressed that a structured brotherhood system would strengthen unity, ease the settlement of new families and reflect the beautiful Islamic model of mutual support and compassion established by the Holy Prophet (sa).

  • (11) Fathers of newly immigrated families work long hours away from home and this affects the tarbiyyat of the family, how can we alleviate this?
Huzoor (aba) replied that the issue is not merely the long working hours of fathers, but the wider impact this has on the moral and spiritual upbringing of the family. He stated that when fathers spend most of their time away from home earning a living, children are deprived of proper guidance and supervision, while mothers are often left to shoulder the responsibility of tarbiyyat alone.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that parents must recognise that earning a livelihood is important, but it should not come at the expense of their children's religious and moral development. Huzoor (aba) said: “This is an ongoing effort of moral training that must be undertaken. This again falls under the Tarbiyyat department and they will have to address this. If there are other job opportunities then they can be guided towards those as well; this too is the responsibility of Umoor-e-Amma.”

Huzoor (aba) said that fathers should make every effort to spend quality time with their families, establish regular family prayers, engage their children in religious discussions and remain actively involved in their upbringing despite their work commitments.

Huzoor (aba) further advised that mothers should also play a strong role in nurturing the faith and character of their children, creating a home environment centred on Islamic values. Ultimately, Huzoor (aba) stressed that parents should seek Allah's help through prayer and strive to maintain a balance between worldly responsibilities and their duty of raising righteous children, as the spiritual wellbeing of the family must never be neglected in the pursuit of material success.

SUMMARISED ANSWERS

  • (1) When children of religious parents drift from faith, how can parents tell why it happened?
Huzoor (aba) explained that while some children may drift from their faith, parents should first reflect on their own upbringing and recognise that every family experiences challenges. Tarbiyyat is a continuous, lifelong process that begins in early childhood by helping children understand not only that they are Muslims and Ahmadis, but also why they are Muslims and Ahmadis, their purpose in life and the distinctive teachings and objectives of Ahmadiyyat.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that both parents must patiently answer their children's questions, develop their faith with knowledge and instil strong religious values from a young age. Merely encouraging outward practices, such as offering prayers occasionally or attending the mosque and Jama'at events, is not sufficient without a deeper understanding of faith and purpose.

Huzoor (aba) advised parents to honestly assess their own shortcomings and improve themselves, as effective moral training begins with self-reformation. He also noted that raising children spiritually has become more challenging in today's society due to the widespread influence of social media and increasing exposure to external influences.

Finally, he stressed that parents must strengthen family bonds by dedicating time to their children and spouse, setting a positive example through their conduct, and demonstrating Islamic values in everyday life, because practical example is the most powerful means of Tarbiyyat. Huzoor (aba) said: “Tarbiyyat is not a one-day task.”

  • (2) As we grow older, due to our greater awareness of Khilafat we feel hesitant to write to the Khalifa, how can we overcome it?
Huzoor (aba) explained that hesitation in writing to the Khalifa is often nothing more than an excuse, as those who truly wish to write simply do so. He advised that Satan frequently deceives people through seemingly virtuous thoughts, using apparent goodness to distance them from genuine acts of righteousness. He cited the example of Adam (as), whom Satan misled by presenting disobedience as something beneficial. The Holy Qur'an records this incident to teach that anything which prevents a person from performing a good deed, even if it appears justified or well-intentioned, is ultimately harmful.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that anyone blessed with a bond of Khilafat should strive to keep that relationship alive and never allow unnecessary hesitation to weaken it. Rather than seeking excuses, one should honestly consult one's own conscience. Referring to the guidance of the Holy Prophet (sa), he reminded that in such matters a person should seek the verdict of their own heart, which will guide them towards what is right. Huzoor (aba) concluded by saying: “So do not ask me; ask your own heart.”

  • (3) When elders advise youth, it is often seen as criticism. How can we maintain a positive atmosphere for young people?
Huzoor (aba) explained that advice is more readily accepted when it is given with wisdom, kindness and an understanding of human psychology, rather than as criticism. Children should be raised with an appreciation of their faith so that they naturally develop curiosity, ask questions and become more receptive to guidance.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that mistakes are made by both adults and children and Allah has instructed believers to offer advice in the best manner. The Holy Prophet (sa) set the perfect example by correcting people gently and encouraging them positively instead of rebuking them. Huzoor (aba) gave an example in the full answer in the programme.

Huzoor (aba) further explained that parents should avoid imposing religious practices through force, as this often leads to resentment and distances young people from both religion and the Jama’at. Instead, they should consider each child's age, circumstances and emotional needs, using the most appropriate approach to encourage them.

Huzoor (aba) advised that parents themselves should receive training in understanding children's psychology through seminars and guidance from experienced individuals and professionals. Above all, he stressed that personal example is the most effective form of tarbiyat. When children see their parents regularly offering prayers, reciting the Holy Qur'an and practising their faith sincerely, they are far more likely to adopt those habits themselves. to summarise further on this important point, Huzoor (aba) basically said that this is not an age in which people can be reformed through force, but through wisdom, compassion and exemplary conduct.

  • (4) How can we instil love for Khilafat deeply in our children’s hearts, rather than it becoming merely a routine?
Huzoor (aba) explained that a deep and lasting love for Khilafat is cultivated through proper moral and spiritual training from early childhood. When children are raised with genuine religious values, their connection with Khilafat develops naturally and remains strong throughout their lives, reflected in their conduct and their willingness to maintain a relationship with the Khalifa.

Huzoor (aba) cautioned against forcing religious practices upon children or linking faith to worldly ambitions, as this can allow material desires to take precedence and eventually weaken their attachment to religion.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the foundation of love for Khilafat is love for Allah and His Messenger (sa). Once children develop a sincere relationship with Allah and understand the teachings of Islam, obedience to Khilafat follows naturally, as it is rooted in the guidance of the Holy Qur'an. Therefore, love for Khilafat should not be treated as a separate objective, but as a natural outcome of a heart firmly rooted in faith, worship and devotion to Allah.

Introduction to Mulaqat with Amila Members from Jama’at Ahmadiyya Vaudreuil from Canada.

  • (5) With religious symbol bans in Quebec, should families stay for their children’s religious future and freedom?
Huzoor (aba) advised that if families have the opportunity to move to a place where they can practise their faith more freely, they should consider doing so, provided they first secure suitable employment.

Huzoor (aba) explained that where laws temporarily require girls or women to remove the hijab in specific settings, such as certain schools or government workplaces, they should comply only for the duration of that legal requirement.  Once outside those settings or when the compulsory circumstances no longer apply, they should resume wearing the hijab. This principle also applies to professionals such as doctors, nurses and government employees working under similar restrictions.

Huzoor (aba) further emphasised the importance of providing children with strong moral and spiritual training from an early age so that they understand the reasons behind such temporary concessions and do not develop feelings of inferiority or confusion about their faith. Such temporary compliance under genuine compulsion is not hypocrisy, but a legitimate necessity recognised in Islam.

  • (6) I do Istighfar and try to forgive others, but still feel hurt from past injustices. How can I fully let go and find peace?
Huzoor (aba) explained that sincere Istighfar and genuine forgiveness should gradually remove feelings of hurt and resentment from the heart. Allah commands believers to forgive others and true righteousness is only achieved when forgiveness comes from the heart, not merely from the tongue.

Huzoor (aba) advised that lingering pain often stems from personal expectations of others. When a person places all hope in Allah alone, the actions of others lose their power to disturb the heart. Forgiving solely for the sake of Allah brings immense spiritual reward and enables a person to rise above bitterness.

Huzoor (aba) referred to the guidance of the Holy Prophet (sa), who taught that those who continue to show kindness to people despite being mistreated remain under the grace of Allah, while the angels pray for them. However, if they respond with the same harshness, they lose that special spiritual support. Huzoor (aba) also cited the example of Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra), whom the Holy Prophet (sa) praised for remaining silent in the face of abuse, explaining that angels were answering on his behalf until he chose to respond.

Huzoor (aba) concluded by encouraging constant prayer, particularly during Sajdah, asking Allah  to cleanse the heart of all resentment and grudges. Through sincere supplication, forgiveness for the sake of Allah and complete trust in Him, inner peace will gradually replace the pain of past injustices. Huzoor (aba)  concluded by saying that: “You should pray for this daily, do at least one prostration in your prayer saying that: “O Allah the Almighty, remove from my heart any kind of resentment and grudge for people.”

  • (7) When children grow up where religious identity is discouraged, how can Ahmadi parents raise them to stay confident in their faith?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised that parents must first set a sincere personal example by confidently living their Islamic identity both at home and in society. Children who see their parents practising their faith consistently are more likely to develop confidence in their own religious identity.

Huzoor (aba) advised parents to create a loving home environment where Islam is discussed regularly, including the Holy Qur'an, Allah, the Holy Prophet (sa), the Promised Messiah (as), Khilafat and the teachings of the Jama’at. Daily conversations, together with opportunities for children to ask questions, help strengthen their understanding and conviction.

Huzoor (aba) also encouraged families to regularly watch and discuss programmes such as Friday Sermon summaries and "This Week with Huzoor", explaining that such shared learning has a positive impact on children's spiritual development.

Huzoor (aba) further stressed the importance of helping children understand what it means to be an Ahmadi Muslim and encouraging them to take pride in their faith. When parents lovingly involve their children in these discussions and build their confidence through knowledge and personal example, any feelings of insecurity or hesitation about their religious identity will gradually disappear.

  • (8) We try to recite prayers instructed by Huzoor (aba), but during illness or stress it’s hard to focus on worship. What guidance is there for such times?
Huzoor (aba) explained that even if a person is unable to concentrate fully during illness or stress, they should continue reciting the prescribed prayers, as concentration gradually develops through perseverance. Even a small amount of focused remembrance is valuable and with consistency, leads to greater attentiveness in worship.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that prayer is itself a source of spiritual and physical healing. Referring to an incident from the life of the Promised Messiah (as), Huzoor (aba) explained that during a severe illness, Allah taught him a prayer, which he recited and by the grace of Allah, recovered. This demonstrates the healing power of sincere supplication and remembrance of Allah. The prayer was:

“Holy is Allah and worthy of all praise, Holy is Allah the Great, “O Allah bestow Thy blessings upon Muhammad and the people of Muhammad.”

Huzoor (aba) further advised that those who are unwell can continue reciting Durood Sharif even while lying down, as it is a means of attaining blessings and healing. Rather than abandoning prayer because of difficulty in concentrating, one should continue with whatever level of focus is possible, trusting that steadfastness will strengthen both one's devotion and spiritual state over time.

  • (9) When seeing disrespectful content about the Promised Messiah (as) online, how can one calm the heart and respond in the best way?
Huzoor (aba) advised that rather than becoming distressed by disrespectful content online, Ahmadis should strengthen their knowledge so they are able to answer allegations with confidence and wisdom. Instead of remaining silently hurt, they should respond with accurate, well-reasoned answers, engaging directly where the allegations are made so that others can also benefit from the clarification.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that such responses should always be delivered with gentleness, patience and respect, avoiding harshness or inappropriate language, as these qualities better reflect the true teachings of Islam.

Huzoor (aba) further advised that alongside intellectual efforts, believers should turn to prayer and frequently recite Durood Sharif. Sending salutations upon the Holy Prophet (sa) brings spiritual blessings, earns divine reward and helps bring peace and strength to the heart during such trials.

  • (10) Nowadays, children face bullying issues in schools. As parents, how can we guide them?
Huzoor (aba) explained that bullying is a widespread problem that affects children of all backgrounds and can have serious emotional and psychological consequences. Parents should therefore create a warm and trusting home environment where children feel comfortable sharing their daily experiences and concerns.

Huzoor (aba) advised parents to speak with their children every day, listen carefully to their experiences, and guide them on the best way to respond. Where possible, children should be encouraged to ignore minor incidents, but if bullying becomes serious, parents should promptly involve the school so that appropriate action can be taken.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that when children know their parents genuinely care, listen to them and support them, they develop greater confidence and resilience. Parents should inspire them to be courageous, reminding them that they should not be overwhelmed by the behaviour of others but should grow in self-confidence and strength of character.

Huzoor (aba) also warned against dismissing a child's concerns, noting that failure to listen can leave children feeling isolated and lead to serious psychological harm. By maintaining open communication and taking their concerns seriously, parents can help protect their children from the damaging effects of bullying. Huzoor (aba) also gave an example of a girl from Germany who was bullied at school, reported this to her parents but they did not pay attention to her concerns and forced her to attend school – [Please view the video link below for what Huzoor (aba) said about children can be affected by this approach.]

  • (11) With un-Islamic content in schools, is it permissible to enrol children in a private non-Ahmadi Muslim school?
Huzoor (aba) explained that it is permissible to enrol children in a private non-Ahmadi Muslim school if it provides a better moral and Islamic environment and does not promote un-Islamic teachings. However, parents should remain vigilant to ensure that their children are not influenced by beliefs or ideologies that contradict the teachings of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, particularly any hostility towards the Jama’at.

Huzoor (aba) further advised that where no suitable Islamic school is available and children must attend other schools, the primary responsibility for their religious upbringing rests with the parents. Fathers and mothers should spend time with their children every day, discussing their experiences, answering their questions openly and explaining Islamic teachings with wisdom and confidence. Parents should also help their children understand the reasons behind Islamic values and guide them in distinguishing between what is beneficial and what is harmful.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that parents should never feel embarrassed to discuss matters of faith with their children. By maintaining open communication and providing clear, loving guidance, they can strengthen their children's understanding of Islam and help them remain firm in their beliefs regardless of the educational environment.

  • (12) In Western countries, many feel they have no spare income for financial sacrifice after expenses. How can we explain its importance and blessings to them?
Huzoor (aba) explained that financial sacrifice is an essential part of faith and requires believers to place the cause of Allah above personal comforts and unnecessary spending. While genuine financial hardship should be considered, many people are able to make sacrifices by budgeting wisely and reducing non-essential expenses. Huzoor (aba) stated: “You must see how you can fulfil your worldly needs and also do good. 'Never shall you attain to righteousness unless you spend out of that which you love; (Holy Qur’an 3:93) Goodness and virtue can only be attained when you spend out of what you love.”

Huzoor (aba) advised that believers should first plan their finances by meeting their necessary obligations, then consciously dedicate a portion of their income for the sake of Allah. This reflects trust in Allah's promise that those who spend in His cause will be rewarded and compensated in ways they may not expect.

Huzoor (aba) referred to the many accounts received from Jama’at members from Africa who, despite limited means, made financial sacrifices and subsequently witnessed Allah's blessings through unexpected provisions and improvements in their circumstances. These experiences, together with the teachings of the Holy Qur'an, the Holy Prophet (sa) and the Promised Messiah (as), strengthen faith in the blessings of sacrifice.

Huzoor (aba) said by him sharing such real-life examples with those who hesitate can inspire them to trust in Allah's promises and experience the blessings that accompany sincere financial sacrifice.

  • (13) How I can strengthen my spirituality and relationship with God whilst maintaining a balance in my life?
Huzoor (aba) explained that spiritual progress and worldly responsibilities are not mutually exclusive. Islam teaches believers to fulfil both their duties to Allah and their responsibilities towards their family and society, without neglecting either.

Huzoor (aba) emphasised that the five daily prayers should remain the foundation of a believer's relationship with Allah, regardless of how busy life becomes. Quoting the saying of the Promised Messiah (as), "Haath ba-kar, dil ba-yar" ("that is, your hands may be working, but your heart remains with God."), Huzoor (aba) reminded believers to keep their hearts attached to Allah even while carrying out their daily tasks.

Huzoor (aba) further advised making use of quiet moments, such as during the night, for voluntary prayers, while also remembering Allah throughout the day by reciting supplications and Durood Sharif during ordinary activities. Maintaining a constant remembrance of Allah alongside one's daily responsibilities strengthens spirituality and deepens one's relationship with God. Huzoor (aba) concluded by emphasising that a person's spiritual progress is greatly influenced by their mindset and sincere intention to keep Allah at the centre of their life.
