Below is a summary of the answers – the answers Huzoor(aba) gave were actually more detailed and one is advised to watch the MTA YouTube report.
What prayer should parents offer to instil the love of Allah in their children?
Huzoor(aba) advised that parents must first become exemplary models of righteousness themselves. When they actively demonstrate devotion through acts of worship, such as offering voluntary prayers in the presence of their children, they naturally observe and reflect on their parent’s sincerity and devotion. This example fosters a spiritual connection in their hearts as well.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that if parents live by Islamic teachings and discuss these values at home, their children will be influenced positively. He encouraged parents to engage with their children regularly like after work at weekends and other times they have free. With such positive interactions, Huzoor(aba) said children are more likely to thrive spiritually. Furthermore, Huzoor(aba) urged parents to consistently pray for their children and offer Nawafil prayers for their children.
What brings Huzoor (aba) the most contentment and happiness in leading the Jama’at?
Huzoor(aba) expressed that true contentment lies in the spiritual progress of the Jama’at and prays and desires that every member develops a strong connection with Allah and fulfils the mission of the Promised Messiah(as). This is what brings reassurance. If members are striving toward this, it is commendable, otherwise, reminders through speeches and sermons become necessary.
Huzoor(aba) further stated that while achievements are appreciated, the Jama’at has yet to reach the pinnacle of success. True milestones, such as influencing a quarter of the world, are still ahead. Currently, members should focus on connecting with their neighbours, understanding who they are and introducing them to the teachings of the Community. Only then can true contentment be realised.
Why is congregational prayer necessary when one can speak to God more openly praying individually?
Huzoor(aba) said Allah the Almighty has written in the Holy Qur’an in relation to worship, sacrifice, financial and everything else, to so “secretly and openly” (Ch.13 V.23) and congregational prayer is prescribed by Allah to foster unity and encourage those who may be weaker in faith. When acts of worship, sacrifice or good deeds are performed openly, they inspire others to adopt these practices. Allah desires the community to be united, as reflected in the Holy Qur’an, where believers are described as "a strong structure cemented with molten lead' (Ch.61:V5).
Huzoor(aba) said the Holy Prophet(sa) emphasised the value of congregational prayer, stating its reward is 27 times greater because it demonstrates collective strength and unity, which pleases Allah. At the same time, the Holy Prophet(sa) instructed Imams to keep congregational prayers balanced and not overly long, to accommodate everyone, including the weak and children.
Huzoor(aba) further explained the distinction between congregational and voluntary prayers - Voluntary prayers, such as Tahujjad, can be longer and are a means of attaining immense blessings. The Holy Prophet(sa) himself offered deeply profound and lengthy voluntary prayers at home, but congregational prayers in the mosque were kept concise to ensure inclusivity. Ultimately, Huzoor (aba) said that congregational prayers strengthen the bond within the Community and motivate others to participate in worship.
How can a Khadim play a role in addressing climate change?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised the critical role of Khuddam, in addressing climate change by adopting environmentally conscious habits and urged the youth to minimise fuel usage by walking or cycling, especially for short distances. He discouraged unnecessary car use, noting its contribution to pollution. Huzoor(aba) also highlighted the importance of tree planting, encouraging participation in local projects and aiming to plant at least 1,000 trees annually as a meaningful contribution to environmental conservation.
How can we instil gratitude and humility to our children raised in the West?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that parents must lead by example to instil gratitude and humility in children. He advised parents to pray, perform good deeds and explain to their children that these actions are guided by Islamic teachings and the instructions of Allah. Parents should highlight that, as Ahmadi Muslims, they follow the teachings of the Promised Messiah(as) to revive forgotten values.
Huzoor(aba) also stressed the importance of frequent discussions with children to help them understand the priority of faith. Parents should explain the concepts of humility and gratitude, teaching children to recognise Allah's blessings, such as the care provided by parents, food, education and other resources. By demonstrating gratitude through worship and good morals, parents can inspire their children to adopt these virtues.
How does Huzoor (aba) see Ahmadiyyat adapting to societal norms?
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that the purpose of Ahmadiyyat is to reform the world and not to follow societal norms. He stressed the need to instil this understanding in children, explaining that it is a difficult and challenging task, especially in environments filled with immoral influences. Parents must strive, pray and actively engage with their children.
Huzoor(aba) advised parents to guide children by offering alternatives rather than merely forbidding certain behaviours. For example, parents can spend quality time with their children, explore nature and discuss Allah's creation to nurture their spiritual interest. Encouraging physical activities and outdoor pursuits can also help divert attention from unproductive habits like excessive screen time playing games or surfing the internet and warned against giving young children mobile devices, which can lead to addiction. Huzoor(aba) urged parents to make sacrifices to safeguard their children’s moral and spiritual upbringing.
How do we know our prayers have been accepted?
Huzoor(aba) explained that the acceptance of prayer is felt within the heart. When a person prays with sincerity, their heart overflows with emotion, their tongue expresses heartfelt pleas and tears flow freely. This deep connection with Allah Almighty indicates that the prayer has reached Him and will be accepted in some form.
Huzoor(aba) also mentioned that Allah does not send a direct sign or revelation to announce the acceptance of prayers and that now you can stop this prayer and move onto another one! Instead, it is the supplicant's responsibility to continue praying and seeking Allah’s grace.
Huzoor(aba) asked the questioner if he has ever reached a place of contentment whilst praying and he replied in the affirmative to which Huzoor(aba) replied this then is the acceptance of prayer.
How can we guide those who distance themselves due to the behaviour of an officeholder?
Huzoor(aba) stressed the point that faith and allegiance are pledged to Allah, the Promised Messiah (as), Khilafat and not to an officeholder. If an officeholder’s behaviour causes grievance, one must remember that Allah may be testing their obedience. The Holy Prophet (sa) taught that even if a leader lacks intelligence, they must still be obeyed as a matter of principle. Personal grievances should never overshadow one’s connection to the Jama’at or weaken faith. Officeholders serve temporarily, but distancing oneself from the Jama’at risks permanent spiritual harm and the displeasure of Allah.
Huzoor(aba) further advised that officeholders should view their roles as acts of service, avoiding arrogance or pride. They should treat members with kindness, address their concerns privately and work to encourage others with humility and love. Huzoor(aba) said the system of the Jama’at exists to promote unity, reform and mutual respect and not to establish power or dominance.
Huzoor(aba) reminded that Holy Prophet(sa) has a lofty status and if Allah can warn even him about people distancing themselves, then who are we? If such guidance applies to the Holy Prophet(sa), it is all the more necessary for others to act with love and compassion.
How can we serve the Holy Qur'an?
Huzoor(aba) said to serve the Holy Qur’an, one must study its teachings, gain wisdom from it and share its guidance with others. The Holy Qur’an encompasses numerous commandments, including principles of morality, peace, love, harmony and care for orphans, which should be highlighted and conveyed to others. By presenting these teachings, people will come to appreciate the Holy Qur’an's profound guidance and listen with interest. Spreading its message in this manner draws individuals closer to Islam and strengthens their faith.
Huzoor(aba) continued by saying that the greatest service to the Quran is to implement its teachings in one’s own life. When others witness this example, their attention will naturally be drawn to its beauty and wisdom.
Propagation should also be done thoughtfully and according to the audience's understanding. For example, when addressing an atheist, Huzoor(aba) said begin by introducing universal values found in the Holy Qur’an, such as respect for parents, good upbringing of children and kindness of neighbours – the rights of the neighbours are so extensive, that even the people you are travelling with and your work colleagues and fellow workers are all included as being part of your neighbours and so one ought to respect them as well. The Holy Qur’an emphasises justice, patience, truthfulness and steadfastness.
Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that when these teachings are shared wisely, they captivate listeners and reveal the Holy Qur’an’s timeless relevance and depth. Thus, to truly serve the Holy Qur’an, one must propagate its message and live by its commandments.

On 22 December 2024, Lajna Imaillah and Nasirat from The Netherlands were blessed with a special audience with Huzoor(aba) at Islamabad. Some of the questions whose summary answers are given below are as follows. There were many varied questions and this summary is a bit longer than normal:
How can children choose good friends at school?
When asked how parents can choose good friends for their children at school, Huzoor(aba) emphasised that "good friends" are those with good morals, regardless of their religion. He explained that it is not always possible to find friends who offer prayers or share the same faith, especially in schools with diverse backgrounds. Good friends are those who exhibit truthfulness, decency and avoid immoral behaviours.
Huzoor(aba) highlighted the role of parents, as well as auxiliary organisations like Lajna Imaillah and Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, in morally training children and instilling Islamic values. Huzoor(aba) said: “Allah the Exalted states that at the age of seven, children should be encouraged to offer their prayers and by the age of 8 or 10, they may sternly tell their children that they ought to offer their prayers". Huzoor(aba) also encouraged Ahmadis to build friendships by setting good examples, as this can inspire others to learn positive values. Socialising is important, but one must safeguard their own morals and avoid vain or harmful activities.
How can we best develop self-confidence?
Huzoor(aba) said that there is no need to feel inferior or develop any form of complex. He reminded the questioner that as Ahmadi Muslims, they carry the responsibility of conveying the message of Ahmadiyyat to the world and inviting others to its fold. By recognising this purpose and maintaining a strong determination, one can gain a sense of self-worth and understand that they have something valuable to offer to others.
Huzoor(aba) highlighted that the knowledge of religion, faith and a personal connection with Allah the Almighty are unique qualities that set Ahmadis apart and must be shared with others. He also stressed the importance of participating in Jama’at activities, such as Nasirat classes and using these opportunities to strengthen religious knowledge, develop good morals and improve general understanding.
Additionally, Huzoor(aba) advised the young girl to focus on her academic studies and encouraged the questioner to revise her lessons at home and reflect on what she has. Huzoor(aba) concluded that developing both religious and secular knowledge, coupled with determination and hard work, are key to building self-assurance and leadership qualities.
What did Huzoor(aba) do on his Ameen?
Huzoor(aba)ed that he did not have a formal Ameen ceremony and mentioned that his Qur’an teacher may have listened to his recitation upon completing the Holy Qur’an, but no specific function or feast was arranged to mark the occasion. While some individuals, including his cousins, organised such events at that time, Huzoor(aba) shared that he personally never felt the need for an Ameen ceremony.
Is it appropriate for young women to marry before completing their higher studies because upon getting married, they may not have the opportunity to do so?
Huzoor(aba) responded with a balanced and sympathetic perspective and emphasised that if a suitable marriage proposal arises and the woman is agreeable, she should prioritise marriage. Huzoor(aba) explained that delaying family life solely to pursue education is not ideal and many women have successfully balanced both. Huzoor(aba) shared examples of women who got married, raised children and later resumed their education, even achieving advanced qualifications such as in medicine.
Huzoor(aba) stressed that the primary focus after marriage should be on fulfilling family responsibilities, including raising children with proper care and attention. If both spouses agree and the husband grants permission, women can pursue further studies later in life, ideally in fields that serve humanity, such as medicine or teaching. Huzoor(aba) advised against prioritising education or career aspirations over maintaining a harmonious home and family life.
When dogs or other pets touch your clothes or sit on public transport, what to do?
Huzoor(aba) responded that if people bring their pets on public transport and they occupy seats, it is their choice and one should not take issue with it. If a seat has been used by a pet, it can easily be wiped before sitting. There is no harm in such situations.
However, Huzoor(aba) emphasised that in one’s own home, cleanliness must be maintained, especially in areas designated for prayer which must be kept pure. He advised that while some individuals may become overly concerned if dogs touch their clothes, such rigidity is unnecessary. During the time of the Holy Prophet(sa), shepherds often interacted with animals, including dogs but they would still pray in Masjid Nabawi in the same clothes, provided they were free from impurity and ablution had been performed.
What is the most important deed in the sight of Allah the Almighty?
Huzoor(aba) quoted verse Ch.51: Verse 57 from the Holy Qur’an which: “I have not created the Jinn and humans but that they worship Me.” (Ch.51: V.57).
Huzoor(aba) stated that Allah, in His mercy, has created humans as the most superior of all creations, granting them consciousness and countless blessings. As a result, humans have a duty to express their gratitude to Allah and the way to express this is through sincere worship. Huzoor(aba) said that worship is the deed that Allah loves the most, as it reflects thankfulness for His countless bounties, such as food, water, education and other provisions.
Huzoor(aba) emphasised that worship and gratitude go hand-in-hand. By recognising Allah’s blessings and thanking Him through worship, one fulfils the purpose of their creation and earns Allah’s pleasure.
How should the Jama’at address those who forget their reasoning for migrating to Western nations?
Huzoor(aba) mentioned the importance of reminding those who have migrated to Western nations of the reasons behind their migration and highlighted that it is the responsibility of Lajna Imaillah and the Tarbiyat Department to gently and lovingly help such individuals realise the immense blessing Allah the Almighty has granted them by enabling their migration.
Huzoor(aba) explained that many migrated from Pakistan due to the restrictions on practicing their faith openly, such as being unable to offer for many years, Jumuah or Eid prayers, or even worship in mosques. By migrating, Allah granted them the freedom to practice their religion fully and they should express gratitude by upholding their faith and fulfilling their spiritual obligations.
Huzoor(aba) warned that becoming overly absorbed in worldly pursuits and forgetting one’s spiritual purpose can lead to consequences, either through loss of peace in this life or accountability in the hereafter. Thus, it is essential to remain focused on the true purpose of life.
Huzoor(aba) urged that Lajna and Jama’at members should continuously and kindly remind such individuals of their higher purpose in life, without forcing them, but by persistently encouraging them to strive to fulfil the objectives for which they were granted this opportunity.
Should we prioritise fulfilling the rights of Allah or His servants?
Huzoor(aba) explained that fulfilling both the rights of Allah (Huqooq-ullah) and the rights of His creation (Huqooq-ul-‘Ibad) is essential to attaining nearness to Allah. Worship and obedience to Allah’s commandments are crucial, but prayers alone are insufficient if one neglects the rights of others. Huzoor(aba) said that Allah has made it clear that He may reject prayers if a person fails to care for the poor, orphans and others in need, or exhibits poor morals.
Huzoor(aba) highlighted that Allah forgives shortcomings in His rights if someone seeks forgiveness, but He does not forgive violations of others’ rights. For example, a husband who neglects his wife’s rights, or parents who fail their children, will be held accountable. Similarly, Jama’at work or religious duties should not come at the expense of neglecting one’s family or others.
The Promised Messiah(as) also emphasised that fulfilling the rights of others is sometimes even more critical than fulfilling Allah’s rights because it reflects the balance and justice taught in Islam. Allah commands believers to act kindly, uphold the rights of neighbours, support the vulnerable and even show compassion to their enemies. Both sets of rights must be fulfilled in their proper time and place, as neglecting either lowers one’s spiritual standing.
Can we participate in youth care by becoming foster parents?
Huzoor(aba) explained that becoming a foster parent is a noble and virtuous act, fully in accordance with Islamic teachings. He emphasised that many Ahmadi Muslims in the UK are already engaged in fostering, which provides an opportunity to care for and nurture vulnerable children. Huzoor(aba) highlighted that Allah the Almighty has declared caring for orphans and the less fortunate as an act of great virtue. Those who raise such children with love, guidance and proper care will be blessed with rewards from Allah. Therefore, fostering is a highly commendable endeavour that should be undertaken with sincerity and a sense of responsibility.
When encountering a verse of prostration while reciting the Holy Qur'an, is it necessary to face the Qiblah?
Huzoor(aba) answered that while it is commendable, it is not obligatory to face the Qiblah when performing a prostration upon encountering a verse of prostration while reciting the Holy Qur’an. One may also prostrate wherever they are seated. For instance, said Huzoor(aba), after the International Bai’at, many perform the prostration facing any direction.
Huzoor(aba) further elaborated that if someone is reciting the Qur’an while seated on a chair, such as in school or another setting where performing a full prostration is not possible, they may prostrate from a seated position or delay it until a more suitable time. Hazrat Umar (ra) is recorded to have occasionally delayed the prostration until later, which is also permissible.
Huzoor(aba) shared that during his time at the Jamaat school in Rabwah, their teacher, Master Bhambri Sahib, would often instruct students to perform the prostration at home. Ultimately, one should act according to their circumstances.
Huzoor(aba) concluded by saying that there is no harm even if it is not done. However, one should maintain God’s awe, grandeur and greatness in their heart.
