22:22 - Friday Sermon Clip, 12 September 2025 - Battle of Hunain and the expeditions that followed.
- What is Huzoor's (aba) advice for a convert to become a better Ahmadi Muslim?
- What is Huzoor (aba)’s advice on treating parents with kindness and respect, even when their wishes may sometimes seem unwise?
- To what extent can recreational activities be used to bring people closer to religion?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised that missionaries and Amila members must lead by example, demonstrating their commitment through regular prayers, including Tahujjad and a strong connection with Allah. This spiritual influence serves as an inspiration to the young.
Huzoor (aba) advised that harshness or rebuke is counterproductive, as it risks driving away individuals. Instead, missionaries should offer specific prayers for the youth, such as performing two rak‘ats daily on their behalf and demonstrate genuine love and concern. Recreational activities should be viewed as a bridge, enabling meaningful interactions where youth can spend time with missionaries, participate in prayers and learn about Allah and His Messenger (sa).
Furthermore, Huzoor (aba) stressed the importance of exploring innovative methods beyond traditional approaches. This involves engaging the youth in dialogue, actively seeking their input and making them feel included. Rather than merely issuing instructions, missionaries should work collectively to achieve spiritual objectives. This inclusive strategy builds confidence and fosters a stronger connection to faith. Huzoor (aba) also stated that this approach is equally vital for the integration and development of new converts.
- After forgiving someone, how can we cleanse our hearts entirely?
Huzoor (aba) said that the Holy Qur’an instructs not only to forgive but also to show goodness afterwards, for example, by giving a gift, maintaining good relations and praying for both one’s own heart and the other person’s heart to be cleansed. Huzoor (aba) emphasised that gifts help increase love, as taught by the Holy Prophet (sa). Offering a gift also reminds the forgiver not to harbour hypocrisy, as it would be wrong to forgive while secretly holding malice outwardly. Forgiveness should be done with prayer and action, as this is the way to cleanse the heart, though it can be truly challenging.
Huzoor (aba) then narrated the incident of Hazrat Imam Hussain (ra) as related by the Promised Messiah (as). When a servant accidentally spilled hot water on him, Hazrat Imam Hussain (ra) suppressed his anger, forgave him and then went a step further by freeing the servant, showing extraordinary kindness. This, Huzoor(aba) said, is the proper standard of forgiveness – suppressing anger, forgiving sincerely and following it with an act of kindness.
- Huzoor (aba) was asked how the martyr's body not decaying after martyrdom, his blood remaining fresh and fragrance emanating from it relate to reality?
Huzoor (aba) emphasised that these descriptions are instead profound metaphors. The "freshness" of the body and its "fragrance" symbolise the lasting spiritual impact and legacy of the martyr's sacrifice. Allah immortalises their memory, which continues to inspire others to lead righteous lives and remain devoted to their faith. Similarly, the reference to undried blood serves as a powerful symbolic reminder of the purpose of their sacrifice, motivating others to embody similar readiness for their faith.
Huzoor (aba) further explained that in the Hereafter, Allah grants martyrs new bodies and places them in Paradise, where they are surrounded by fragrance, which is why the Qur’an says: “Do not say they are dead - they are alive,” in the sight of Allah because “Allah the Almighty has kept their memories alive forever and granted them a station in His nearness.”
Huzoor (aba) also noted that while a body may be preserved through artificial means, such as advanced technology, or natural processes, like ancient Egyptian mummification (as referenced in the Qur'an regarding Pharaoh), these are purely physical phenomena.
With regards to the mummification of Pharaoh, Huzoor(aba) said: “...that was due to a certain technology that existed at the time. Even now, people can’t replicate that fully. So to say that just because someone is a martyr, their body will automatically be preserved - it doesn't happen that way. Even prophets’ bodies aren’t preserved like that, so how could others be?”
HUZOOR GRANTS AN AUDIENCE TO THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF GUYANA TO THE UK.
On Tuesday, 9th September 2025, the High Commissioner of Guyana to the UK, Dr Rajendra Singh, had the honour of meeting Huzoor (aba). During the meeting, in light of the teachings of Islam, Huzoor (aba) Masih highlighted the importance of fighting corruption for nations to progress.
The High Commissioner's reflections after meeting with Huzoor (aba).
"I’m totally impressed by the work that is being done here. And His Holiness’s willingness to meet with me. It was very, very, very impressive to hear him talk about the poor and I thought I explained where we are going in terms of decreasing the level of poverty in our country.
One of the things I was intrigued by was his knowledge of agriculture. And I learnt after I left his office that he has a background in agriculture. So, it was kind of a pleasant treat for me to have a conversation with him on agriculture. I, myself, was the CEO of a sugar company at one time, so there were a lot of things that I learned. Again, I was very, very glad to hear him say that once you can bring people together, the country will prosper because that is exactly what we are trying to do in Guyana, which is to get all the races, all the genders, all the people together as Guyanese and as one Guyana."

- In households where English is the primary language, how can we teach Urdu to our children?
- What is Huzoor's (aba) favourite incident from the life of the Holy Prophet (sa)?
“Every action, deed and order of the Holy Prophet (sa) is such that if one were to act upon them, they would improve their lives. Read history and you will learn about all the incidents (of his life). All incidents related to his life are good.”
- Some say the ‘Alam-e-Inami’ is just a game of numbers. How can we ensure it is fairly awarded?
Huzoor (aba) acknowledged the concern that some focus solely on numbers for the Alam-e-Inami award, straying from its spiritual purpose. He confirmed the award is based on points but stressed that the true objective is spiritual growth.
To illustrate the importance of integrity, Huzoor (aba) shared a personal experience from his time serving as a Naib Sadr in the committee that recommends which Jam’at should be awarded this. He recalled discovering a Majlis that had fabricated its report by resetting its progress to zero to falsely show significant improvement, rather than building upon the previous year's achievements. He recommended and ensured the Majlis was disqualified for this deception.
Huzoor's (aba) central guidance was that every effort must be made solely to attain the pleasure of Allah and he warned that lying to win the award is a false proclamation of faith that Allah does not need. Huzoor (aba) concluded by advising that all actions should be habitually performed for the love of God, as without that pure intention, such pursuits are meaningless.
- If I have incurred educational debt, as well as debt for a car and a home, can I perform Hajj?
To illustrate the paramount importance of intention and caring for others, Huzoor (aba) related a story of a man who saved for Hajj but gave all his savings to a starving neighbour. Although he never physically made the journey, Allah accepted his righteous deed as Hajj itself.
Huzoor (aba) concluded that while fulfilling the physical obligation is essential, Allah's acceptance ultimately depends on pure intentions and righteous actions. If one sincerely intends to perform Hajj and fulfils their duties to others, such as helping those in need and offering prayers properly, then in that case, Allah can enable them to perform it when the time is right or even accept their devotion as if they had performed the pilgrimage.
- What is Huzoor's (aba) advice regarding those members who do not wish to disclose their salary regarding Chanda?
Furthermore, Huzoor (aba) highlighted that in the current era, strict data protection laws like GDPR, make it imperative only to collect information that a person willingly provides. Huzoor (aba) concluded that while members can be encouraged to disclose their income for the sake of fulfilling their duty to Allah, the ultimate standard of righteousness is a matter between the individual and God and administration should avoid creating unnecessary pressure.
- What has been the most difficult moment during your Khilafat and how did Allah the Almighty help you through it?

In addition, Huzoor (aba) highlighted the importance of moving beyond mere symptom management to investigate the underlying cause of the distress. His Holiness illustrates that often, external factors such as systemic bullying in educational environments can be a primary catalyst for conditions like depression. Therefore, Huzoor (aba) urges parents and guardians to exercise diligent oversight, identify these root causes and address them directly as an integral part of the healing process.
Huzoor (aba) continued that as the Khadim aspires to become a cardio surgeon, he should study diligently. Huzoor (aba) advised him that in the extra time you have on weekends or during holidays, allocate some time to the Jama’at. Additionally, continue to offer your prayers; it is your obligation as a Waqfe-Nau to perform the five daily prayers and to continue gaining religious knowledge.
Huzoor (aba) counselled the young servant that his primary focus should remain on the successful attainment of his education, particularly given his aspiration to become a cardiac surgeon. He advised that diligent study must be the central priority.
Regarding the balance between Jama'at responsibilities and his academic commitments, Huzoor (aba) advised that any time beyond his core academic obligations, such as on weekends or during holidays, should be allocated for voluntary service to the Jama’at. Huzoor (aba) further assured that when one is entrusted with a duty, God Almighty also grants the capacity to fulfil it and thus, one should pray for this divine assistance.
Finally, Huzoor (aba) mentioned the importance of spiritual discipline as a Waqf-e-Nau of his obligation to consistently offer the five daily prayers and to continually seek religious knowledge.
Huzoor (aba) further elaborated that the moustache should be kept sufficiently trimmed so as not to interfere with drinking or eating, and to prevent it from becoming immersed in water or soiled by food. Similarly, while the beard is to be grown, it should be kept to a manageable and tidy length, in accordance with the Sunnah and not be grown excessively long.
Huzoor (aba) concluded by observing that the fundamental guidance on this matter is derived from the commandments of Allah and the Holy Prophet(sa), which provide the definitive standard for believers to follow..
To provide profound spiritual comfort, Huzoor (aba) recounted a poignant episode from the early days of Islam, where sincere companions, despite their ardent desire to participate in a battle, were unable to do so due to a profound lack of material means – not even possessing shoes for the journey. Huzoor (aba)s referenced the Qur’anic teaching that Allah the Almighty accepted their heartfelt intention and rewarded their spiritual passion in full.
Applying this eternal principle, Huzoor (aba) assured that for individuals like the questioner’s mother, who possesses the sincere desire (niyyat) to make a Wasiyyat but is precluded by advanced age or lack of income, her righteous intention is accepted by Allah. She will receive the divine reward for her aspiration. Her continued participation in other forms of financial sacrifice, according to her capacity, will be considered spiritually equivalent to the act of Wasiyyat itself.
Concluding his guidance, Huzoor (aba) emphasised that while Wasiyyat is a highly blessed act best undertaken in one's youth to devote the best years of one's life to God, the ultimate divine recompense is granted for sincere intention and the sacrifices one is genuinely able to offer.
Huzoor (aba) elaborated that the Salat itself is a profound spiritual discipline that structures one's entire life. By being regular in prayer, a person naturally cultivates a temperament of order and self-control. His Holiness advised creating a disciplined daily schedule, beginning with the Fajr prayer and incorporating time for physical well-being, the study of the Holy Qur'an, including its translation and commentary, as well as other essential duties.
Huzoor (aba) assured that this regimented life, secured with prayer, is the means through which a believer gains the spiritual strength and knowledge necessary to serve the faith in the best manner. By starting the day with Fajr, one sets a spiritual rhythm that brings all other activities into a harmonious and productive order.
