Introduction
In the event of something as grave as World War 3 occurring, it is only natural that a person’s immediate thoughts turn to the safety and well-being of their family, their health, access to food and essential needs. These concerns are entirely valid and necessary.
Yet, amidst all these profound reflections, a heartfelt concern shared by one member of the MTA Canada team was truly touching as he wondered what would happen to MTA broadcasts in such a scenario. This sincere thought overall reflects the deep love and attachment Ahmadis around the world have for MTA TV. For us, Muslim Television Ahmadiyya is not just a TV channel; it is a spiritual lifeline. It brings the voice and presence of our beloved Imam, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (aba), into our homes, whether through the Friday Sermon, his inspiring addresses, or programmes like This Week with Huzoor.
Huzoor’s (aba) response to this concern was deeply comforting and full of wisdom. It reassured us that even in times of great global turmoil, the spiritual guidance of Khilafat and the blessings of MTA would, Insha’Allah, continue to reach us – a beautiful reminder of the power of prayer, planning and trust in Allah. Huzoor’s (aba) answer is below.
Summary of the Report – Huzoor’s (aba) Meeting with MTA Canada Team at Islamabad
A delegation from MTA Canada Studios met with Huzoor (aba) at Islamabad and a report was presented to Huzoor (aba). Abbasi Sahib reported that since 2018, MTA Canada has been under the direct supervision of MTA International and all operations, including compliance, IT, production and social media, are aligned with the guidance from the Markaz.
Abassi Sahib further stated that MTA studios have been established in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and Saskatoon and a video montage showcased their setup.
The team reported 157 productions sent in 2024 and aims for 250 in the current year.
The Lajna team, led by Munazzah Khan Sahiba, also presented their growing involvement in multiple aspects of production, from research to post-production and played a video of their work.
Huzoor (aba) provided detailed personal guidance and instructions throughout the meeting, including during a Q&A session where 2 questions were also asked.
We present below a summary of the session with MTA Canada, as it provides valuable guidance for all MTA departments worldwide.
HUZOOR's (aba) SPECIFIC GUIDANCE AND INSTRUCTIONS
Production & Content
Huzoor (aba) expressed that he did not believe such a large-scale atomic attack would occur that would destroy the entire world. If nuclear weapons are used, they would likely be smaller ones meant to instil fear. They would be similar in strength to those previously used on cities. Africa, for example, remains unaffected and other regions would survive as well, allowing MTA programming to continue.
For this reason, he has advised everyone to keep satellite phones. These phones should be readily available. A separate transmission system should also be in place, along with a reliable power backup system. If these are established, direct links could be maintained. Ultimately, he emphasised, it is about placing trust in Allah – what else can be done?
In contrast, many external programmes are openly indecent, so it is essential to create content that is both appropriate and impactful, such as using engaging short stories to convey moral lessons. Huzoor (aba) emphasised the importance of seeking regular feedback from both children and adults to improve and tailor the programmes effectively.

HUZOOR's (aba) SPECIFIC GUIDANCE AND INSTRUCTIONS
Production & Content
- Use wide-angle shots in Lajna productions and avoid excessive close-ups.
- Produce nature-related documentaries.
- Create programmes on science and religion aimed at teenagers aged 12–14 to instil Islamic perspectives from an early age.
- Involve Ahmadi scientists and scholars to present both scientific theories and their insights from a religious perspective.
- Focus on producing content on contemporary topics relevant to today’s audience.
- Lajna members should finish work and return home by 9 or 10 pm.
- Huzoor (aba) emphasised that children should not be left waiting for their mothers at dinner time.
- Study international channels, like Japan’s NHK, for high-quality, educational and child-friendly content.
- Encourage using modern production trends to improve quality while using their own creative insight.
- Gather audience feedback using questionnaires distributed through the auxiliary organisations.
- Determine what people actually watch and prefer and align future content accordingly.
- Do not rely solely on producers’ preferences, but focus on audience relevance within Islamic values.
- Due to shorter attention spans, create 2–3 minute clips for:
Social media platforms.
Filling empty broadcast slots.
Sharing with Markaz for potential broader use.
- External content by non-Ahmadi creators could be considered for social media, but:
Must be carefully vetted – Must align with Islamic teachings and Jama'at traditions. Each case will be assessed individually.
- If a nuclear war were to occur, how would the MTA system continue to operate?
